We just finished a lovely stay at the Park Vue Inn. You can't beat being SO close to the park. I wanted to comment specifically on the hotel because they are actively doing renovations... they are about halfway through the first floor. The new rooms are really nice - it felt brand new, minus the tub and toilet - all new fixtures and floors, fresh paint everywhere, it really felt brand new. The only comment I would make is that the storage is rather lacking... the closet opposite the sink is now a thin open closet thing, with just a couple small drawers. Under the TV is now a table with a bench, so plan to live out of a suitcase.
The renovation work runs 8-5, however their truck does drop items off earlier and this hotel has very, very, very thin walls and floors. It did not impact our sleep (any more than the other noises).
The A/C unit is amazing, we're from Minnesota and it was almost TOO cold, which is pretty unusual - we loved it.
