I keep hearing on Facebook groups that "cast members" have a date they have been told when Stormalong bay will open. But they aren't allowed to say. They are being very coy and just saying coded messages that it might be opening early. What early means who knows. Anybody seeing stuff like this out there?

Facebook is filled with rumors. The only group of Cast Members that would really have any insight to an early opening might be the Lifeguards that will be assigned to SAB with a confirmed schedule.

Do we know which YC rooms have been renovated so far? Choosing between YC or BC Club Level during my stay in two weeks. And if YC CL rooms have been renovated, that would help me make the decision!

My YCCL WV room was updated when I was there in March. Room 5185. New paint, rug under the bed, drapes, 2 new paintings, new chair and ottoman.

YC CL rooms were the first ones completed months ago. When I was there last week, I saw work move from the 2nd floor rooms next to the back entrance to the 1st floor rooms in the same area. There are regular rooms in other hallways that might not be done, but CL rooms definitely are finished.

However, there was still scaffolding outside some water view CL rooms when we were left on May 10th.

Perfect! I think we'll move to YC CL. Thanks all! I was nervous about the high likelihood of not getting a daybed or a full balcony at BC.

Quick updates from our Yacht Club stay this past week:

• The front desk said they're still working on the room refurbs. The first floor rooms looked completely blocked off with closed curtains and some blacked out windows.
• Work has also taking place on the second floor of the lobby (black curtains blocking views).
• Some work also taking place near the elevators
• Getting from the Yacht Club side to the Beach Club side (like walking to Beaches and Cream) is still possible/easy.
• Overall, the construction really wasn't a factor on the Yacht Club side.

There is no scaffolding at the BC. No siding or roof was or is planned at the BC unless something new changes before you arrive, and let us know the latest updates.

Yes, there was scaffolding at BC when I left there on the 10th. At that time, the whole area from the back door of YC to the back door at BC had it. So some waterview rooms at BC did have it.

How much busier than normal are the quiet pools with stormalong being closed?

I don’t have photos but I can tell you that there are new rugs, painted ceiling and trim. Nice bright colors. No ice cream freezer. The beer and wine cart is now on the side room where the big screen tv is, near the side door. No difference were the coffee is or food.

Does this mean the Mickey bars aren't available anymore for club level guests?

With the rehab there was no room for the ice cream freezer. To be up with code, they needed to add a fire extinguisher area. You need to ask a CM and they will be happy get Mickey bars, cookies and cream or lemonade bar
