Where will Rosie Roam in 2013. Day 2 Epcot updated 10/14

We visited Hoover Dam, the Grand Canyon, the Petrified Forest and the Painted Desert when I was 11 - we drove from TN to So CA when my dad was transferred. I remember nothing except how utterly TERRIFIED I was at Hoover Dam and the Grand Canyon.

Rosie, you must have no fear of heights at all!!! Was anyone at all fearful? Any idea what the Down Under tour was about?

Enjoying the TR!! :teeth:

Actually I am afraid of some heights , like I can't stand on a step ladder or chair without feeling wobbly, Can't climb up a windmill, well actually climb back down, but I acn peer over a railing at the Grand Canyon , the Falls etc and looking out of an airplane window is NO problem. No one else was in the least bit scared . The Down under tour was the inner workings of the Dam and from what I understand you had airport like security to get in , whichmay have bben the hold up.

No stepping on chairs or climbing ladders for me either ....and planes don't bother me at all (being high...maybe because it is enclosed).

Looking forward to the rest of your LV adventures!!

Slowly catching up Rosie (the kids were here this weekend and we were busy).

First, I'll tell Mark about Freemont,, but he very rarely goes to Downtown Vegas as he doesn't have the time as he is there to work.

Good thing I had a yummy lunch with the kids today or I'd be drooling over your pictures.

In all of the times we've been to Vegas, we have never been to the Hoover Dam. Great pictures; and I do not think that Carol had to twist your arm too hard to take a picture of a half-naked man. :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

LV looks like how I remember it. :rotfl2: Yes Freemont Street at night is an experience but your dinner looked fabulous.

Of course you got pulled up on stage. :rotfl:

Maybe I can try to fit in the Hoover Dam next time. Never have enough time while on business.

Yes we found a lot to do and still things we missed .so many of them were free too!!!

Hello There stranger !!! Great to see you on the Dis again!!!:cool1::cool1::cool1:For those who don't know Cherie , we were in Disney together a few years ago, actually the year I did the Torpedoing :rotfl2:Of course we wont mention the bushes she fell in :rotfl2::rotfl2:

And I think Cherie started the whole pole dancing fad with a certain unnamed carousel horse incident.... :rolleyes1

Great updates Rosie! Freemont street certainly is different at night than in the day, but you can get some good shopping deals and cheap food down there! :goodvibes

Looks like Hoover Dam was a hit. What was the lake tour? Was 3/4 of your group on it, or the bus you took? We played on Lake Mead with jet skis a few years ago - very clear and only a few fish because there were no plants. Lots of fun, but just a hole in the dirt. :rotfl2:

Okay now to tell about my day !!! I was "OFF" today but still on call:sad:So by 8 a.m I had my first call , Dan who is in Disney :goodvibesleft me on call for his house and his overnight who is a rea whiner called and said no one was scheduled to come in on Saturday morning to help her and proceeded to tell me all about why she needed someone ... Okay I get it:rolleyes:So I quickly filled that and then the Van saga began !!We have 1 of our vans in the shop and 2 appointments around the same time sooo we needed a second van which my wonderful staff made calls without bothering me and asked if I could take her over to pick it up which was NO problem until the call came in that one of Dan's people hadto go to the ER and that was the van we were borrowing !!!!:sad:By 11:30a I was ready to just go in and stay :rotfl2:But the Heavens aligned the planets and my wonderful staff found another van and they would bring it t he . Did I mention my wonderful saff:rotfl2::rotfl2:
I was then ble to drive out to Lockport and have lunch with Carol and give her the Memory books to mail. Even better one of her Program Managers had a guy who is interested in going to Albany with me next month!!!So what started out as a nightmare has ended up pretty good !!!:goodvibes

After Lunch we picked up the Lake Meaders ad headed to The Ethe M. Chocolate Factory , where we actually did see workers making some sort of yummy candy

We then went into the Candy Shop !! Wow was that stuff expensive !!!:faint: Again I would have liked more time , not for the Candy store:rotfl2:but for the gorgeous Cactus Garden right next to the Store

I could have easily spent an hour just looking !!!

Then we headed back to The Strip and had a total of 15 stops to make , I don't think we were #15 but we sure were not the first !!!:faint:

We arrived back to the City and the Strip

These ere taken while we were waiting for the Volcano at the Mirage

This was really magnificent . The Guys Loved it

I will leave off now and continue !!
