Great event summary thread! Do you recall Frontier Day at the Park in 2018? Western-themed dress-up day... it's being revived on February 22, 2026 in Disneyland Park (Anaheim Ducks Day is in DCA). @Frontier_day IG (@FrontierDayatthePark on Facebook) If you’re able to add it, great! Thanks!!

My DD wants to attend the Star Wars after Dark event. My DD is neurodivergent so there are some things I need to take into consideration. I try really hard to make the necessary accommodations ourselves. I have a couple of questions.

I have scheduled our trip such that we have 2 tries for tickets. However I really would like to have April 28th. We fly in that morning and would work perfect for us. Do you think that would be hard to get tickets for that night? I am worried that I am up against the vloggers and key holders.

Will Disneyland have fireworks that night? My DD wants to see them from Galaxy’s Edge. I am thinking of doing the meal package so we don’t have to stand forever. Sitting forever she can do.

Neither of us have ever seen Paint the Night Parade. Will that be nightly? We could see that either on Wednesday or Friday night. If Disneyland moves to having the parade and fireworks on weekends only, then we will have conflict on Friday night - fireworks or parade. I am not sure we could do both.

I guess I could try for the 28th and if I don’t get them then but get tickets for the 30th we could change our flights, park and hotel reservations to fly home on Sunday instead of Saturday. That does put me in a bind with a cute grandchild’s 1st birthday party. This cutie was born on Star Wars day and is the reason we aren’t going on May 4th

PTN doesn't run during the After Dark events.

For Sweetheart's Nites, fireworks are scheduled for 7:30 pm which is during the mix-in period. However, April 28 is after Daylight Savings Time and the sun doesn't set until around 7:30.

I would expect both Shadows of Memory and Fire of the Rising Moons to be very popular (ie. crowded) on Star Wars Nites. The dining package is such that you dine earlier in the evening and return to view from a standing only section. The one positive is that the dining package standing section tends to not to be as crowded as the non dining package area.

Fireworks and the parade can both be seen on the same night. Watch Shadows of The Rising Moons in SWGE, exit via the Fantasyland exit and walk towards Small World. The parade doesn't reach Small World until approximately 20 minutes after the start time. If the parade starts at 10:30 at Main Street, it won't be at SW until 10:50 which gives you an hour to get there after fireworks.

You should probably start a new thread with the exact info you posted above. There are people with neurodivergent kids who can give you pointers and tips. There are also people who have attended SW Nites in previous years who might not be reading this thread.

Thank you for letting me know. I added it to the February calendar.

Thanks for your help and information. I did start a new thread on your recommendation.

I definitely will be going for the dining package. I know my DD will not like anything on the menu but we will do it anyway just so there is a less crowded place to see it.

Thanks also for the idea of watching the parade from Small World. I have not thought about that. It is a good idea.

Does anyone have any insights on VidCon June 25-27. We are looking at going June 24-27 but are unsure how much VidCon will affect the crowds during the actual event. I could see Sunday the 28th being crowded though.

If you had a choice between VidCon weekend and the following weekend with July 4th on Saturday, which would you do?

Thanks for the insights and for putting the post together every year!

July 4th. I went the last 2 years. It is one of the best weekends of the year to visit. Not crowded most of the time. Hidden secret.
