Just wondering if anyone knows where I can find a misty mate, or any other similar contraction in canada anywhere? Does Wal-Mart carry them, or any other major department store?? Let me know ifyou know.

But I can't remember what it is. I looked through the boards, as I know that it has been posted many times, but do you think I can find it when I need it??? Anyways, it's a fan attached to a water bottle to mist us while waiting in the excruciating heat to get into rides and attractions.

Does that explain it???

We have a store called showcase that sells items from TV infomercials. they have misty mates and squeeze breeze.

There is one of these stores in the Seaway Mall here, saw them there last week.

I went into the "As seen on TV" store, and saw the Misty Mates, and they were $29.99! Is that over-priced? I am wondering because I thought that I had read on other posts that people have gotten them for $5-$10, but then again, that might have been the Squeeze Breeze ~ those were priced at $14.99, but that still sounds expensive. What does everyone else think??

Joline:rolleyes:

I think that I may be able to help clear up some of the confusion between misty mates and squeeze breeze.

Squeeze Breeze (www.squeezebreeze.com) is the squirter water bottle with fan (like the ones sold in Disney parks):

Sometimes Squeeze Breeze fans are called Misty Mates, but there is also a product called Misty Mates that aren't fans, but rather "personal mist systems."

Here's the link to the
Misty Mate Page that explains how they work, but essentially you fill it with water, pump the handle to pressurize, and then when you turn the "nozzle" the mist comes out the little tube. We had one and they worked a lot better in the infomercial  but I suppose that in theory they would be better than the Squeeze Breeze fans because the mist is much finer, but who knows! (I've never tried a Squeeze Breeze to compare.)

If you go to the links above for Squeeze Breeze and Misty Mates there may be US prices that would at least give you a ballpark figure.

Wow, that was long, but hope it clears it up! :D

I saw an item that resembled Sqeeze Breeze in the Regal catalogue...(a catalogue service that is like Avon but for cute household items and wrapping paper)

I hope this helps...They were under $15
