NEW Disney Gift Card Deals and More

I hope you feel better soon! I think we're in high allergy season too, so many trees and plants are a blooming. Ugh!

I had no clue about the newest console that's how out of touch I was. I didn't even know who was offering pre-orders. I went to slickdeals and a few other sites and was schooled. And after ALL that, DS tells me he and his friends were planning on camping out at GameStop. Had he started out with that, it would have saved me so much time. :rotfl: Oh, that crazy son of mine!!!!
Your DS wasn’t tricked into a warranty on his preorder at GameStop, was he? The Reddit is flooded with people complaining that the employees tacked on warranties saying a person only needed to put $5 down toward it (but you pay the balance of $55/75 at pickup).

Did anyone get a Switch 2?

DS & his friends pulled an all-nighter, they went to GameStop at 12:30am and waited outside until the store opened at 12 noon  . They were all set up with lawn chairs, blankets and plenty of food. DS said he had a lot of fun and was happy they did this together. Memories!
We preordered one from Target!

Hey guys, can you use gift cards to pay Disney Dining Plan costs? I’ve never done the dining plan before, but I think we will in 2026 with the free kids option (ours will be 5 and and 9 for our trip next year). Thanks!

If you get a dining plan you will be booking a package reservation. You can pay $200 balance and have to pay the full balance 30 days before your check in date. But yes, you can use Disney gift cards to pay for the package.

Re: Sam's Club Disney eGift Card Offer

I came here to discuss ^... I've been on the DGC thread for a few years and this is the first I have ever heard Of Sam's Club limits reset every 30 days. I'm not doubting you were told this @gerarar , it certainly sounds plausible and could explain a lot. However, we have had peeps post otherwise and for years too. I tried to open the discussion before but may have worded it differently perhaps causing confusion. IDK. :confused3

I was trying to understand how some were able to buy 4 $XXX DGC one week and make the same exact purchase, as reported, two - three weeks later.
  • Did they use the same account
  • Did they use a specific credit card
  • How long have they maintained a membership
What's the variable here? And now in 2025, have things changed for everyone?

And to keep everyone on the same page, Post #2 Discount District houses all the DP's that I'm aware of. The 30 Day Limit Reset is not on there.

For those still interested in buying DGC at Sam's, I would at least try. Hopefully others will chime in.

As someone who has bought a ton of DGCs from Sam's Club I can say that the policy might be a 30 day reset, but at least in the past, in practice - it did not always work this way. Sometimes, you could buy more within 24 hours or a week later but other times I got locked out for months, eventually I opened a new membership because the old one expired and then of course it reset.

Its possible they've improved the system and it now properly enforces a 30 day limit, but I have definitely had mixed results in the past.

Wow! Maybe my problem was attempting both the app and website? I swear I tried for 25 minutes straight!

I agree about the queue. Walmart started 2 minutes before 12am ET and Best Buy 28 minutes late, but they both worked very well for me.

I think I tried for 30 minutes before Target finally worked - so maybe it was just persistence that eventually paid off lol.

@FoxC63 in regards to a deal for the Switch 2, I didn't get a deal - just paid retail. I was able to use a $500 Target gift card that I bought last year during their 10% off Target gift cards sale, so I guess I saved $50 that way?

I heard some people said they had a 20% or 15% off Circle Promotion that was not supposed to work on Nintendo items that applied at Target, but I also heard some people had their orders cancelled because of the incorrectly applied coupon too.

If you're DVC you can also add the Dining Plan - and surprisingly the free kids dining plan for 2026 applies for DVC members booking with points, this is the first time a free dining plan has worked for DVC members that I can recall. If its for DVC, you can pay the entire Dining Plan with a DGC.

WOW Target cancelled the orders with the Circle coupons!? That's terrible!

Yeah, we will be renting points. Sorry, I should have mentioned that. Thanks!

Not sure exactly how you are renting them, but in my previous rentals everything extra had to be done by the DVC member, and there was not a way to use gift cards to pay. You may want to look into that more before going all-in on gift cards. If you are renting from a friend and can give them your GC to pay, that might work.

So I rent my points sometimes through dvcrentalstore.com and with a recent rental, they sent me an email with directions on booking the dining plan for a renter, along with 2 Disney Gift Cards to cover the cost of the dining plan. I don't know if the DGCs belonged to the rental company or if they belonged to the renter, but that was how the transaction took place.

Well I’ve bought the sale DGCs from Sam’s the last 2 years and after purchasing the card limit I receive message that I had reached the limit for months both times and I would check 2-3 times a week.

Disney Tourist Blog has the steps to book it with a rental through the My Disney Experience app.

Sams glitch in the matrix for DGCs... Based on years of experience. Never buy the limit of DGCs (4 is the limit). Always buy 3 and then wait 12 to 24 hours then it resets to allow you to buy the max of 4. I've also alternated between 3, 1 , 3 ,1 all within 48 hours... Try this on May 2nd and thank me later :)
