Thanks, I think the weather will be fine. Anything over 27 degrees will be nice to me now. It was at about 9:00a this morning in Deltona,Fl 29 degreesThey were cold and I don't blame them but now it's in the 50's were here it's still only 27 degrees.

Heading to Deltona, Fl this afternoon can't wait. We even might hit WDW for one day on Monday!!!

We got a lot of snow back in Southern Maine yesterday. Our house has been sitting empty for a few weeks now, and will be empty until we close on it next Thursday. I am SO afraid something is going to happen to it before we close on it. We called this morning to have the driveway plowed and to have someone clear a path to the front door. We know the thermostat is set at 60, but I hate not being there and seeing for myself that all is well inside and out.

I hope this will be the last big storm for awhile!

Ya, we have our MA home with a Property Manager and we have it all rented and best thing we did was put snowplowing in their lease!!!

Thanks! We had our real estate agent check out the house after the storm. The only damage came from high winds and heavy snow that managed to rip out the bottom portion of some of the screening on the back porch. We've already had someone replace the screens, so we're crossing our fingers everything stays good until the closing!

Awww, thanks for the hug. The whole city of Tucson could use one. I still can't believe that such a horrible thing happened. This whole week, whenever we went out anywhere, you could just feel a difference. There was always someone, no matter where you went, that had some personal connection to one or more of the innocent victims of the tragedy. We're keeping everyone in our thoughts and prayers.

As far as the closing, we can do everything from here. We're just waiting for the final papers (should receive everythng by FedEx on Monday) and we just have to sign everything in the presence of a notary public, then FedEx the papers back. Glad we can do it that way! We have no desire to visit Maine in January!

3:45pm- I just got back from a two mile walk. Beautiful sunny day with temps in the low 70s...never any humidity here. All week is supposed to be the same.

Nice!! Did I ever tell you how much we enjoyed our trip to San Diego last June? We had such a good time. Loved La Jolla, but we REALLY fell in love with Coronado Island.

My husband and I are planning on returning to Coronado Island for a long weekend this spring. Last trip we had others with us, but this time since it'll be just the two of us, I want to stay at the Hotel del Coronado.

My husband and I are planning on returning to Coronado Island for a long weekend this spring. Last trip we had others with us, but this time since it'll be just the two of us, I want to stay at the Hotel del Coronado.

Oh, luv, will you be staying at the 'Del' ... what a BEAUTY! And so much history! We have been there many times on just day trips to Coronado. We always end up at the 'Del' just walking around; inside and out. I don't need to tell you this ... as I am sure you already know ... but to anyone else, the 'Del' was Walt's inspiration for the Grand Floridian!

Isn't La Jolla, lovely, my son lives in La Jolla, literally steps from the ocean! He surfs before work in the early am and surfs after work in the pm and all weekend long. He had no work today but it has been crazy at work lately, so he went into work anyway but he surfed from 6-8am and is just leaving work now at 3pm and will surf 4-6pm and he is in a softball league and will play softball all evening under the lights. Not something he could do today if he was in Beantown.
luv, he actually called to tell me even though he is so darn mad and sad about yesterday's game, its days like this in the Diego that he does not hear about the loss all day long ... like he would if he was back in MA in the freezing cold buried under 24 inches of snow (which our hometown received last Wed.)

...We have been there many times on just day trips to Coronado. We always end up at the 'Del' just walking around; inside and out.

Yeah, we cased the joint last June. We walked all over the grounds, the beach, and went inside the hotel. When we entered the lobby, an employee came up to us and offered all of us cups of lemonade from the tray he was carrying around. That was unexpected, but quite nice! We looked in some of the shops and bought some goodies at a candy shop. I loved looking at all the historical photos lining the walls downstairs.

I wish we would get more snow here. Last winter we were getting snow at least once a week. This year, seems we're averaging snow only once a month. All the storms keep going to the north of us. Darn La Nina pattern. All we're getting lately is the cold and high winds.

Can't really complain too much though. Weekend was nice around here. We were mostly in the 50's. Supposed to cool down a little this week and a very slim chance for any kind of precipitation.

10:43 am and it's sunny out. Currently 42 degrees.
