...something because of what you are and look like???

1: I don't LIKE TYLER PERRY'S MOVIES!!!!! Don't assume I do because I'm Black and live in Atlanta!!!! :lmao: ... and I don't know the Housewives of Atlanta or care to! :scared:

2: I don't like shoes because I'm female. Don't start a conversation about them around me!! :scared1: I also don't like manicures, spas and tea parties!! :rotfl:

3: For my son: He's 6 feet tall and weighs 275 and NO, he does NOT play football!!! :lmao: He said if he had a dime for everytime he's asked he'd be a MILLIONAIRE!! :lmao:

Your turn..... :woohoo:

I am a very serious man at work, with a strict work ethic. Because of my work persona, people that I work with struggle with my love for Disney and other light hearted activities. They just can't believe that the person who is so driven at work could be so relaxed at home and at play...

1. I don't like cinnamon and apparently everyone likes cinnamon.

2. I don't like chick flicks. I am apparently the least romantic woman on the planet.

3. I hate Tyler Perry movies, but I'm white so I guess that's OK.

Oh I am WITH you on the chick flicks. Last Friday a co worker asked me if I'd like to go see "Dear John" with her.... :scared: I told her "you don't know me at ALL, do you????" :confused3

Idk... I don't like chick flicks either. Romantic comedy=BORING. Although, I have to admit thoroughly enjoying The Proposal.

I'm middle aged, conservative dressing, and overweight.

People assume I go to church, listen to country or "lite" music, and am a conservative.

Once people spend time getting to know me, they express a lot of shock at who I really am inside.

Music is a big issue... I've never liked rap and never will... :scared1: but at my age that's okay.

My son is 17 and doesn't listen to anything BUT Gospel or Christian music. His friends think he's cuckoo...

Hmmmm....

1. Don't assuem that b/c I called a help desk (or similar) that I'm an idiot about what I am calling. I only called you b/c there is really something wrong and I don't care if 95% of the callers you tell the plug Wire A into Port A fixes the problem. I'm not them.

2. Just b/c I homeschool doesn't mean that we have the most flexible schedule in the world or that just b/c we homeschool that we are inflexible. Hey, just ask us first!

3. Don't assume that just b/c everyone loves coffee OR that you once hated coffee but moved to Seattle and learned to love it, that I will ever care to place one drop of coffee in any form on my tongue for as long as I live.

No coffee regardless of the bean, no mocha flavored anything (ice cream, chocolates :scared1:), and no Kahlua. Blek blek blek! I don't like it, I will never like it. It ain't even close to Green Eggs and Ham so no, I'm not going to try it in whatever awesome form you prepared it. It's GROSS! (and yes, unlike that character who never tried it--I have and :scared1::scared1::scared1:)

Whew--that felt good.:lmao:

I hate chick flicks
I hate whipped cream (apparently I am they only one who does)
I have never seen and never want to see the Real Housewives of Atlanta!

In Reverse...Many of my friends think that I automatically DON'T like Tyler Perry movies because I'm white.

I am female:

I do not like pedicures

I do not like sappy movies

I am from the South and do not like the following:

grits..(ugh...it makes my skin crawl to think about eating them)

eggs cooked in bacon fat

anything fried

mushy vegetables

BUT, I do love me some sweet iced tea:love::worship:

Ppl. (ignorant ppl) seem to assume that because I happened to marry someone within my race and my children are both the same race, that I somehow must be against mixed race relationships (or somehow see something wrong with it,) and chose to speak to me like I feel the same, narrow-minded, way as they do. -Really annoys the crap out of me when it happens. :sad2::sad2: I politely let them know that I don't feel the same at all, and that usually ends the conversation.

I get asked what high school I go to and if I wrestle. It has been a long time since I was in the former and never did the latter. I've been told I am built like a wrestler but I'm not sure what that means. Maybe I need to stop wearing head to toe spandex. :confused3

I've also been asked if I was gay because I have gay friends yet I've never been asked if I was Indian because I have Indian friends. Perhaps the spandex thing is contributing to this too.

I hate whipped cream (apparently I am they only one who does)

Nope, I do too!

I love math. Everyone knows that and assumes that I also love sudoku. Nope, hate it.

As for DBf, he's 6'7 and no, he does not play basketball. :lmao: This question is asked at least twice every day.

:scared1:No PLEASE don't stop wearing the spandex ... no WAIT, maybe that's why they ask about the next thing...

On the other hand, I have people who do the same to me but the opposite way. Get a clue, people I have a pic of my ex and my current on the desk .... and they don't look ANYTHING like me!!!
:lmao:

I thought of that and went back and edited my post...you beat me to it though. Now I just look unoriginal. :lmao:

1)I hate hate hate shopping, cooking and fashion. Just because I am a girl does not mean I am going to drool at the chance to shop, bake or try on clothes. Sorry, no.

2) Sorry, I am not up to date with the latest preschool programming. Just because I like Disney, does not mean I enjoy watching all programming for 2-5 year olds. (Though I admit, I do like imagination movers )

3)Sorry, I may be a girl who likes to read, but I do not like romance novels. I prefer Sci-fi and fantasy! :thumbsup2

4) Did I mention I hate shopping? Ugh!

Because I'm a girl don't assume I like shoes and fashion. I am a jeans and t-shirt gal and I prefer to be barefoot.

I hate romance novels, I read Stephen King. :thumbsup2

Because I am married to a smoker, doesn't mean I smoke too.

I am not strange because I don't like, honey, coffee and cinnamon and your entire family does.

Just because I am a stay at home wife, doesn't mean I sit around and eat bon-bons all day.
