We were a party of 4, and were seated with another family of 4. I agree with the above configurations of 2 on the ends and 4 along the front, with the chef on the 4th side. It was fun for us, because the other family was from Scotland. Everyone was having a hard time trying to understand each other (I'm sure our Kentucky accent was just as indecipherable to them as a Scottish brogue can be to us), but we had fun learning about each other.
