I got approved today and used the card to buy Star Wars Nite tickets 15 minutes later, so I should have a definitive answer on the ticket credit for hard ticket events soon!

hmmmm... I'd like to make my upcoming Wish cruise into a B2B. So you had the card number right away so you could use it to buy the Star Wars tickets?

Dumb question alert!

I see people mentioning charging to the room. What is the purpose of doing that in regards to this card?

Also...how does one charge to their room when in the parks? I've never done that.

Everything charged to your room counts as a hotel charge, rather than whatever charge it actually was. So I did it all the time to get 3% (now 4%) on my Chase Sapphire card. So if you link the new Disney Inspire, you’ll get 3% back in Disney Rewards.

Still a net savings if you don't already get D+ free with some other CC and can use $100 off tickets.

I do at present with my Amex Platinum, but we also get YouTube Family, so I may switch our YouTube to the Amex Platinum and Disney+ to Inspire, as I still come out ahead when you factor in the 10% Disney Rewards… though I lose the 125 Chase UR Points I get each month for buying a $25 Google Play card to pay the YouTube Premium. Hmmmm. Decisions, decisions. ;-)

Did you use the gift card or new Inspire card? If Inspire, how did you get complete card number? Our pckg payment is due tomorrow and hoping to be able to put on new Inspire card

I got the Inspire Gift Card right away, but haven't been able to use it. I tried transferring to another gift card on the Disney Gift Card website, but it wouldn't work. Anyone else have any luck?

Do you have to make a purchase on the card before it will work????

Have not made it through the rest of the thread so maybe someone else answered, but, no, they do not.

Well that is dumb.

No I received emails constantly and this was a decent offer. A lot of the other offers were for making 1 purchase and receive between $50 - $100 which basically just covered the AF.

Part of it for the offer was probably because I never used the card unless I was emailed a 5x offer there was no point since I have better cards for everyday and category spend. Until PYB my Rewards Dollars would sit in jail to as I wouldn't have enough to move it over to the redemption card.

Now that people are getting the Inspire card they can downgrade their preferred card and let it sit in a drawer and see if an upgrade offer comes their way since Chase will see you are not spending on it.

Idk why I never get these emails!

For those who upgraded, did you just call to do that? I have a premier, and I have like 3K of Disney rewards at the moment, and I think it might be easier just to upgrade, so that I could use that for the pay yourself back feature, rather than have to use the redemption card to pay off charges.

I just clicked on the link in the email, entered the details through MDE and used it to apply towards our pckg . Not sure if that’s what you’re asking.
