What discount did you end up getting and how much did you save?

it looks like everyone saved lots of money today. I am part of a grand gathering so each family saved between 600 - 800 for a total savings of 3,200!!!!!

I booked free dining this morning. We had to change our dates slightly... well, first by almost a month, now leaving the day after I get off work (I'm a teacher). And we'll have to do a room only and then check in for our package the next morning. However, since we're staying at Riverside and Disney considers all three of our kids adults, we're saving a huge chunk of money.

$1400 saved this morning!!

Pretty cool, huh? Worth getting up super early on the first day of school.

So sweet! The lovely CM applied the code to our existing reservation (originally AAA rate), and we are saving about $170 on that. $769 for 5 nights at POR. We already had tickets, and didn't want to pay up front, so room only is our way to go.

Can't wait until October.

Didn't really save any money here.

We were going to go in May to Pop Century for 7 nights with the dining plan, which would have been about $2500. Instead, we booked March 3-11 (8 nights) at French Quarter with the free dining, and it's about $2500.

So, I added a day and upgraded my resort instead of taking the money savings

Only on hold for 25 minutes tonight! Already had free dining, but the 40% was a much better deal for us- saved $414 more than the free dining originally saved us!

My first post! We just booked Pop Aug 21, 2011-Sept 2 with free dining and upgraded to preferred for 2250 for a family of 5! That's only a bit more than what we spent a few months ago for one week with no dining. I can hardly control my excitement and I have a whole year to wait! Thanks so much to the board for sharing the buzz on these deals.

We where already booked at the WL Nov 10 - 17. 2 adults, dd (1) and ds (4). Applied today's discount and saved $1086.68!!!

OK, I've heard a few people talk about AAA discounts and a Disney deal. So you can book a AAA discount and get another room discount on top of that? I thought you couldn't combine discounts.

Updated existing reservation at Poly for Jan 2011. 40% room discount only still available on Lagoon view room (instead of Garden View), so upgraded to Lagoon view and still saved almost $600 for 5 nights. Never stayed at the Poly before -- Woohoo, Lagoon view.

We already had room only ressies at POR, 9 nights. 7 day MYW w/ph tix.I also had made my ADR's that I wanted, so..... I went with free dining, and it should save us about $1,500 We also have 600 dollars on our Disney visa to help pay down our trip. It should be $2,200 by the time we done.

We are staying at the Pop for 7 days/6 nights with free dining, and 6 day park hopper...grand total $2732.00 Saved $835!!! Very happy! (oh, 5 people with two rooms)

Our dates were already booked and we can't change them, plus the GF is our favorite resort, so we won't change that either. Well, FD is blacked out during our week and once again (like last November), so few GF rooms were available to add the room discount to...so we took the $500 gift card. That will pay for quite a few meals since we have a TS dinner almost every night - it'll definitely be used up before the week is up.

You know you've been spoiled by past discounts when a free $500 gift card is kinda disappointing!

Booked 9 nights at POR with free DDP for end of May-June. Paying about the same as this year for 3 of us. But this year I had the 40% off military rate, plus salute tickets, plus GAD vouchers to upgrade from and paid full rate for the DDP. So for only about $100 more I'm getting a very similar trip. Can't complain.

AND, we didn't save anything, but were able to change our 9 nights at the WL in December to 9 nights at the GF for only $400 more. So, we didn't save but are so excited to stay at the GF.

Had 7 nights at Poly in October with free dining. We changed to the 40% off and saved about $1300. That was worth one hour on the phone.

We switched from June 2011..POR 6 nights with 7 day hoppers/water parks/no expiration options

to August 19th with FREE DINING and lower rates for a savings of $1247!

And still have 7 day hoppers with water parks and no expiration!!

Trying to book my vacation now but the reservation system is down. Anyone know if this is scheduled maintenance? It is frustrating because I'm ready to pull the trigger on discount airfare but need to be sure that I can book the free dining first! Of course, I need 4 tickets and there's just 4 discount airfare tickets remaining....
