What discount did you end up getting and how much did you save?

Booked online this AM - 5/27 to 6/2 - 2 adults Plus 1 Disney adult (-child 10); All Star Movies for 7 days, 6 nights - preferred room, 5 day base tickets (will use rewards card to upgrade to hoppers when we arrive) with FREE QS dining - $1608.20!! We are very happy about this deal. :goodvibes We were going to go one week before this time frame, but moved the trip due to free dining! :cool1: Can't pass up Free disney food! This will be our first trip to ASMovies. We have been to Sports and POP - excited to try this one! :cheer2:

We're booked at WL standard view 2/2-2/9, 2 adults and 2 children with free dining and saved $1011! :banana:I also ran the numbers with the 40% off and that would have saved us around $996, so both discounts were good for us!!:cool1:

For those who called and were told that your preferred resort was not available, were you told it was actually sold out or was there never any availability to start with? I'm thinking perhaps some of the larger villas anywhere other than OKW or SSR and club level rooms might have been blocked out. Seems odd that anything would be sold out at 9 am, esp. since most people wouldn't have known about the offers opening today.---Kathy

Booked Free Dining this morning! :cool1:

POP
January 11-16 (5 nights)
2 Adults, 1 Child
6 Day Tickets (no park hopper/waterparks)
Upgraded to Regular Dining Plan

Total Package: $1370.65

Saved a little over $400

I ran the numbers and told DH our cost for dining is only $22 a day! He ran the numbers and rationalized that this deal was like getting POP for $20 a night. He thought that sounded even better! :rotfl:

Just 6 easy payments of $228.44 on my Disney Visa (0% interest)! ;)

Booked 3 nights over Marathon weekend in a Garden View room at the BC. Saved 40% over Rack - $500

I priced out the free dining but decided to stay with our monster pin savings of 40% off a moderate (trying CBR for the first time!) DH and I already have tickets and we only need to purchase a one day ticket for DD. In the end I think we'll save a little more with our original discount, even paying for Chef Mickey OOP for breakfast one day.

We already had reservations at CBR for 01/06/11 - 01/13/11 with an 8 day Park Hopper and QSDP for $3,669.32

Now we are staying at CBR 01/05/11 - 01/13/11 with a 9 day Park Hopper and FREE Dining for $2901.03!!:banana::banana:

changed a reservation @ Gf to BC-12/9-12/16. 3 adults/ 2kids, 7 day base tix
= 2984.79

And for all of us out there (teachers/school staff) who can't travel during Disney's discounted/free dining days and don't wish to travel during the heat of the Florida summers, there is hope! We can find other ways to get discounts for travel during those peak vacation times. Here's my happy news: :goodvibes

President's Week (Feb. 2011)
6 nights/2 adults
UnderCoverTourist MYW tickets $460
Table service dining budget $600 ($100 per meal)
Quick service dining budget ($200 Disney rewards for opening Visa acct.)
Travel costs (driving from Massachusetts: free hotel nights on points, gas, tolls, and meals on the road) $400
Swan (Deluxe hotel, 6 nights, 5 of them on Starwood Points = $389.00 total, including resort fees and taxes)

That's a total of $1849! For a deluxe Epcot hotel, our own dining plan, park tickets, and travel expenses! You too can have a budget friendly Disney vacation even when you can't take advantage of Disney's discounts during expensive peak seasons!!!! :thumbsup2

Booked All Stars Music and saved $120 on a room only discount. I'm just happy I'm not paying rack rate!

We had AKL booked for Dec. 3-11, but missed Free Dining by one day and
the 25% discount annoyed me so I changed to:

Beach Club-Standard Room 8 nights
DDP- 3 adults 1 child
6 day Tickets (non-Park Hopper)

$3,800

with 40% off saved $1,088.

Had my heart set on AKL, I hope we will like Beach Club!

It's done !! YIPPEE

On Hold twice for at least 50 minutes each time, finally got a real agent.....began process and got cut off by my phone !!!
I was NOT a Happy Camper or DIS'er for that matter.....

Called twice again, after the (what seemed forever after the 4th time) answer process, received some Spanish message and line went dead....

I was trying to remain as calm as possible......It Would Be Worth It, is what I told myself.....

Literally took me from 8:30am until 12noon to finally get it all reserved and I am HAPPY NOW !!

RESULT FOR US: CBR from Feb 3rd thru 11th, dates we wanted !! YEAH!
AND FREE DINING !! AWESOME & MAGICAL !!!

This is our 4th trip and 1st time getting FREE DINING....I am totally GEEKED !!

Free Dining was a better deal for us then the room discount.....

HOPE EVERYONE ELSE GETS WHAT THEY WANT !!!

We applied the room discount to our CR Bay Lake Tower View for Dec 16-23 and saved $1700. It was a better deal than the gift card or free dinning, since we are doing deluxe dinning and resort.

I guess the rumor yesterday that you could combine discounts did not hold true!

We had to move our dates, but got FD. we were March 5-12, mover to March 2-9. 7 nights at CSR 2A 1C 8 day park hoppers and regular dining. Total before Discounts:$3168 After Discounts $2407.
Saved $764

I had to reset my tickers too, but totally worth it. Becuase of my scheduale at school we will be losing one park day by donigthis, but I think it is worth it!

First had club level at WL booked, but changed to AKL club level and I'm excited to try something new. :thumbsup2

$1232 for four nights in January, we're AP holders, so were good for tickets.

I just stuck with what we already had: free dining. There was no availability ANYWHERE I wanted this morning for either gift card or % off.

Two rooms at WL the first week of December, courtyard view, free dining, park hoppers for 4 adults, one infant, $4600. We weren't wiling to move to SSR or OKW to save the money.

For those who called and were told that your preferred resort was not available, were you told it was actually sold out or was there never any availability to start with? There was no availability at BLT for a 2 bedroom this morning but the CM said they might load something into the system later this week. I checked late this afternoon and it was available! Yeah! So, I would keep checking if you were told it was sold out or blocked out.

Had WL courtyard view booked for four nights in October with AAA 10% off discount ($310. per night). Changed to the courtyard view bunk bed room with today's new discounts ($228. per night) and knocked it down another almost $370. My daughter and I don't really need the bunk beds, but what the heck?!

Really I just got tired of holding 1+ hours and booked a new reservation; now I'll have to cancel the old one. We were really shooting for the Grand Floridian but couldn't justify the $700.+ more dollars for our stay... Hope we'll like the Wilderness Lodge. :cool1:

I was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction. I did see were they free dining and gift cards were being offered as discounts. But, I didn't see were the codes were for percentage off. Can someone help. Thanks
