TOTAL SAVINGS OF $891.28

We were booked at the Poly, tpv, for 7 nights with free dining pin in October. I just called and got the 40% discount on our room, paying for the dining plan, and still saved $800.

We already booked our next trip. Free dining next Sept. I was going to do the bounceback offer if they had it during our stay, but no need to now. I'm very happy that we already have our next trip booked before we'll leave:banana:

We're staying at AKL, club level for the first time. Had originally booked with the free dining pin, but switched to the room only discount today....saved $800 off non-discounted package, and $250 off what we were paying with the pin.:cool1:

The money saved will go to the fund to allow us to take the auto train both ways instead of just home!

No discounts for us. They blacked out free dining for Presidents' Week 2011, and the room-only discounts and gift card offers conveniently end on the Thursday before then.

Really WDW, can'tcha throw us school vacation week folks a freakin' bone? :sad2:

Feb 3rd thru Feb 11th at Caribbean Beach Resort:

We booked last week for 5 of us at a POR standard room from Mon Jan 31/11 to Mon Feb 8/11 with QSDP and it was going to cost us $3686.89, now with FDP it is down to $2623.24. That brought a smile to my face.

My very good friend and TA booked for me, I'm sure she was sick of me texting her all morning if she was done yet!!

We got 2 rooms, my husband and me, and my parents & brother.
Jan 22- Jan 29
All Star Music Preferred
Park Hopper 6 days
upgraded free qs to DDP
In all, we must have saved just over $1000 (but we used some of that to get the park hopper, we wouldn't have otherwise.)

Already had OKW booked Jan 3-6; 2 bedroom villa and Jan 6-12; 1 bedroom villa. Waited 48 minutes (plus one dropped call) to have 40% applied and saved $1970 on the two ressies.

Soooo excited!! Can't wait for Christmas / New Year's on the Gulf side and then 10 days at Disney.:banana::banana:

I'm only saving $150 since I'm blacked out for free dining. When I called tonight after work, there were no standard rooms available for the 25% off so I ended up switching to preferred rooms. The CM was SO nice and checked to make sure there were no pins attached to any of the adults on the trip.

I'm happy 'cause I'm going to Disney World!

We were already booked at ASmo for 4 nights with our band trip for Jan 13 -18. I called this morning and changed my ressie to include Free Dining.

So, we added a $600.00 value to our vacation for free :cool1:

For those who called and were told that your preferred resort was not available, were you told it was actually sold out or was there never any availability to start with? I'm thinking perhaps some of the larger villas anywhere other than OKW or SSR and club level rooms might have been blocked out. Seems odd that anything would be sold out at 9 am, esp. since most people wouldn't have known about the offers opening today.---Kathy

I can say that when I went online right at 7am, I was looking at BWV and BCV, and both had one bedrooms available, and BCV had two bedroom villas as well. I went with a studio at BCV because it would have been nearly $1000 more to book the one bedroom and for a solo trip, a studio is perfectly fine. Since I booked 1/11-1/21, which includes MLK weekend, I booked DVC because the rate is consistent every day, instead of going up over the holiday weekend. I booked a studio for 10 nights for $2328.80, a savings of $1552.50 off rack rate! I was very happy!

I was relieved that I was patient and didn't go ahead and book a AAA discount when the 2011 rates first came out. It made a lot of diffference being able to go online right at 7am and just book a new reservation instead of having to sit on hold waiting to change an existing reservation. There were a lot of people on hold for over an hour, where I had my reservation done in ten minutes start to finish. It can be a gamble sometimes - but this time I feel it really paid off.
