What discount did you end up getting and how much did you save?

We just changed our ressies twice this week. The first time my mom got a pin code for free dining and we saved about 300 - then the 40% off came out (we had to switch resorts) and we saved an additional 1450. Woo hoo! (even with paying for the dining plan)

I keep trying for a deluxe club room at Boardwalk or the Wilderness, but no availability is showing? I'm gonna keep trying!

There are only 10 deluxe club level rooms at BWI, so it makes them hard to get. But keep trying, I ended up getting one, a month before my trip. The room was awesome, so huge, and the balcony view was great.

Going Oct 22-29 to do some househunting. Waited an hour and fifteen on the phone so I booked online with the new discount and called to cancel the old ressies. Waited about ten minutes with a very helpful and cheery CM.
Old ressies: WL Std (2 days rack rate) and WL Woods view (5 days Monster PIN). New Ressies is WL 7 days Courtyard view (No std available). Saved $171.00 off Monster PIN. Rate paid is $209/night which is 40% discount. We were hoping to do a little better by getting a std. room but satisfied that we upgraded view and saved a few dollars in the process.

We got 7 nights at ASMu Family Suites with FREE DINING!! We were already planning on the QSDP but were only going to be able to stay 4-5 nights. With the discount, we get free food and it made it so that we get to stay a whole week for the price we had budgeted for!! We're saving $1200 on food! AMAZING!!!

I had originally booked with a 35% room discount PIN last April, which saved approx. $340, but changed to FD in July, which saved $500 over the room discount. Even considering the tips for TS meals, FD is still a much better deal for us this time.

I have a question about posts like these. Are you saying you saved the money from what you had budgeted for food? Or did you already have dining in your package and with the free dining promo you got that amount taken off your bill??

Just curious.....for someone like me who wouldnt have booked w/the dining package, wondering if it's actually a savings, or more of a "perk"???

For me, I'd originally planned to get the basic dining plan, so when it was added for free on the dates we were planning to go anyway, it translated to a nice discount for me. So instead of paying over $2200 for two adults at CBR for 6 nights, it was $1800. Nice little chunk of change back in our pockets!
