What did you get and what did you give for Valentine's Day?

Honestly, we don't make a fuss over this day. I don't expect to get anything this year from DH since we just purchased a used SUV.

We will be giving our daughter's a small box of chocolate. I bought a card for DH and I will bake a chocolate cake.

We don't do much either. I sent the kids a box of chocolates and gave one to DH as well. That is usually the extent of Valentine's Day for us. I almost never buy cards for anything any more. They just seem like a waste of money!

I buy all my cards at Dollar store. They didn't have husband Valentine's when I went so I just got "To the one I love"
My friend told me that I always send nice cards....she doesn't know they come from Dollar Store LOL

Dh and I don't celebrate it. We get the kids something small and order a heart shaped pizza for dinner.

I know what you mean about the cards. I had one in my hand for dh and it was almost $6. What!? That is more than I spent on his candy lol.

DH bought me flowers and DD gave me some chocolate truffles and they both gave me cards. I didn't give DH anything but we are going to Dave and Busters so he and DD can play games. He bought DD a card and we bought her an outfit that matches her American Girl doll. So really nothing big, but we will have fun spending the day together.

We never do something major on Valentine's Day but this year will be the most unromantic Valentines ever. I've been battling a severe stomach bug since Thursday night. On the plus side, I can get out of bed today

My husband gave me some Rachael Ray suction lids cause he says I waste too much Saran Wrap.

I gave him some hand cream.

They're actually pretty neat and they come in three different sizes. I prefer practical gifts too.

Not sure yet....DH is sleeping. I made him a card and put a movie gift card in it

DD is getting chocolates, gift card to Subway and a Disney one. We have a trip coming up.
DS and DDIL got chocolate and a gift card to a restaurant
DGD got a book, a stuffed tiger, Goldfish crackers and fun fruits

I received an iFit scale.

And flowers. I did say I was thinking of buying one this weekend to go with my Fitbit. I joked and said he was lucky we have been married to 20 years. He didn't mean to offend...he is a practical type of guy.

I only realized it was Valentine's Day when I logged on here. I wished him a happy v-day, he said "you too". End of celebrations. Lol.
