What is something you wished you packed for your cruise? We are going for a 5 day cruise in September and I was wondering what is something that you wished you had packed that you didn't?
Yes, this. I have part of a rather expensive bottle from a cruise on another line that I had to purchase on board - actually I ended up purchasing 2 bottle - that will be going with me, and I'll buy an extra to take along since I'll be checking a bag with the airline. (The onboard purchases...first after I didn't even think about my legs being in the sun in the rooftop garden while watching "Barbie" and my thighs got burned. The second when I got crispy on a float snorkel trip in spite of reapplying sunscreen constantly and needed more. Same cruise.)
I was in the keys snorkeling at Bahia Honda state park and NONE of us thought to put sunscreen on the backs of our legs and we ALL got sunburned a TON.....and we were camping so we had to sit around in camping chairs more in pain every time we moved hahaha
Socks. The socks I set out did not get packed. The lesson here is, if one person in your family does all the packing, have a second person double check their work.
So my first purchase in port on our Alaskan cruise was socks. That was 23 years ago and I still have those socks. I have never seen heavier, better made socks than the ones I bought in Alaska.
The worst thing I ever forgot was my long-sleeve cover up (saves on needing aloe). For an extended day at the beach, I put it on when we're walking around, eating, etc. I had my sleeveless one that I use on the ship and I was like "this is useless!"
I have an insanely long packing list that I am happy to send you if you want it. It covers pretty much everything (it is SUPER long). I share it with a lot of the cruise FB groups. Happy to send it over if it is helpful.

Cough drops and books. DCL has cut back extensively on the helpful things they used to carry in the shops (including a small selection of paperbacks). It was a transatlantic cruise so nowhere to buy anything I had forgotten.
