What a disaster!!

Great updates! I am also a little afraid of heights, but am looking forward to Soarin'!!! Too bad about the boring couple at Test Track - I wonder if the guy impressed his date with his knowledge or bored her to tears! :rotfl2: I have also made a note to look for the "secret" elevator!

I hope your pokey foot gets better! I was sad to hear that your wallet never turned up - I just knew that you were going to get a call and when you went to get it, you would find more margarita glasses!! :thumbsup2 But way to go for not letting it ruin your mood/vacation. I would have really struggled with that one!!

I am glad that Teppon Edo was worth the wait - and that you had good table mates. I am sure that I will get some strange looks too when I ake pics of our food! :lmao:

Oh Topdog so sorry to hear that the wallet never showed up. :sad1: But I'm glad that you didn't let it ruin the rest of your vacation. :cheer2: Great pictures and update again. Yes people do have a tendency to put their hands where they don't belong. My DH step dad has done it twice now so we've come to the conclusion he's not allowed to go to Benihana's again unless we strap him to his chair. :rotfl2: Thanks again for another great update!!

Bummer about your wallet, but great outlook about it!! ;)

Glad to hear that Teppan Edo was good. We thought about going there, but I really don't want to have to sit with strangers, so I will wait it out until we go with enough people to fill a table. It's not that I am anti-social, it ds. His manners aren't the greatest and we are constantly on him and quite honestly, no one needs to be subjected to that while they are trying to eat! :rotfl:

Wow your review of Teppan Edo is excellent. I've never wanted to try that place but now I do. I love to watch those chefs cook and perform their show :thumbsup2 So sorry to hear that you never were able to recover your wallet either. Major bummer. But that's good that you were able to get ahold of your credit card company and inform them of what happened.

I hope this poky foot doesn't turn out to make the rest of your WDW trip painful for you. :sad2:

Your pics of Teppan Edo are so delicious looking, I cannot wait to eat there now!!. I am just like your wife, I love Ginger dressing. I'm so sorry about you wallet, your trip is not over yet, so hopefully it will turn up!

Topdog, OMG, what beautiful pictures!!!!! They look so professional! I hate rude people...especially at WDW. At every Japanese Hibachi grill we eat at, you have to share a table. I'm a social butterfly but my husband isn't so he is always extremely quiet while sitting around strangers! Everyone has their preferences but don't take it out on the hostess! Lol. Sorry about your wallet. And you are such a gentleman. But I loved your update!

Well, that stinks about not finding your wallet. I just knew that Disney Magic was going to bring you some good luck. Whoever found it and stole your money will pay for his/her indiscretion at some point or another. I couldn't spend someone else's money and not feel A LOT of guilt. Then everytime I looked at what I bought, I'd feel more guilt. I don't like feeling guilty. :guilty:

And what's up with that family who didn't want to share a table? I wonder if they let them have a table all to themselves. :confused3 It wouldn't make it right if they did, but if you create enough of a stink, you'll most likely get your way.

And to answer your question, yes, DH FINALLY hooked up DSL! :yay: I haven't had a chance to check it out yet, but I cannot wait to go home and see what hi-speed looks like on my computer!!!!

Thanks for the update. Can't wait for the rest...

I am just joining in on your report. So far I've only read the last update but I am in love with your pictures!! I also like the way you tell your story. I was laughing out loud a couple of times. :lmao: Sorry to read about your wallet!! But glad that you guys still had a good vacation. There should also be more gentlemen like you and my DH. He also would stand to offer his seat on a bus. ;) I loved your review of Teppen Edo. We eat at our local hibachi quite frequently. We love the food and the show and sitting with strangers helps us to come out of our shell. :rotfl:

Ok, I'm off to read from the beginning..........

So excited to read another great update! I can't believe that your wallet has never turned up. The way you were writing I was certain it was turned in and in your possession long before you left WDW. My guess is that someone saw its contents when you were in DHS and they lifted it from your pocket. :sad2: They will be held accountable someday. Kudos to you though for putting a positive spin on it for your wife so it wouldn't ruin her vacation. My DH does the same thing. I also have to commend you for giving up your seat to women and children. I do the same thing myself. I even squeezed in a child who was dripping wet so he could sit and the bus was PACKED like sardines in a can. We need more people to be considerate of others in this world.
Now for the food. Your pictures were, as always, excellent. It is a bummer that they don't serve smoothies there, but I might have tried the tea. DW salad looked good and of course so did your dessert! I was also glad to see there wasn't anything served on foam of anything ! :lmao: I am not an adventerous eater so this is one resturant that is not on my to try list. I'll just stick to my smoothie and dessert WDW diet. ;)
That leaves us with sore legs, pokey foot and the missing Mickey glass. Carmel corn anyone? popcorn:: popcorn:: popcorn:: Anxiously waiting......!

I am sad that your wallet did not turn up. We lost our camera in Epcot a couple of years ago and it never turned up either.:headache:
Your foot is concerning me!!
How many people sit at the Hibachi table? I would love to try this but we are a party of 8 adults and 1 child this summer and I do not think we will all fit at one table. I might have to wait for a trip when it is just my own family!!
Keep the reports coming they are great!!:goodvibes

Don't feel weird taking pictures of your food....

You are not the only one:goodvibes of course I don't have your fantastic camera equipment! Wish I did!

I loved that resturant! It's our new favorite ... for now, it changes quite often!

That looks yummy! I've never eaten at this restaurant, but definitely want to try it now.

TD, sorry about your wallet. You are truly a gifted story-teller.

I am thoroughly enjoying your TR! I've been reading for a while and subscribed some time ago but I don't think I ever delurked.

I'm so sorry your wallet was never returned, but happy that you didn't let it ruin your trip. Your photographs have inspired me to try to learn more about my camera and photography before our upcoming trip so that I can get some good pictures...they won't be as amazing as yours, but you have definitely inspired me to learn more and try harder!

And it's wonderful to know that there are still gentlemen left in this world. It was so gallant of you to give up your seat on the bus...I wish more men were like that.

Another great update!!

Sorry about the wallet. I still think a wallet with a chain is in your future!:lmao:

My DH was looking over my shoulder while I was reading and saw the pics from Teppan Edo. Now he wants to go there! My DD 13 and I are not at all interested in that kind of thing.
However, I have a question. Is it common knowledge that you will have to share a table with other families?? I've never researched this place because it just doesn't interest me. Here's my point. Why would someone who didn't want to sit with strangers choose to eat here? That would be like me complaining that I have to see fish while I eat at Coral Reef or that Tigger is at the Crystal Palace. Now, of course, if sharing tables is not common then I totally see why a family would be upset by this. Just asking:confused3

Where do we go next?popcorn::

Hey Topdog. The line talker had me cracking up. I'd be eye rolling and yawning as well. The food looked awesome - loved the pics as always. Sorry to hear about your missing wallet. That's a bummer. I can relate on the late night over-stimulated and can't sleep thing. Even though I'm tired when I get home at night (usually around 10 PM), I can't just go to bed. I have to watch something, read something, or do something for a while first. I can't wait to see how the rest of the trip turns out.

I really enjoyed this latest report. :thumbsup2 but I am sad that you didn't find your wallet. :guilty: You have a great attitude, though, so as not to spoil your vacation. :wizard:

As always, great pictures. We went to this restaurant on our last trip and had a blast. The kids even ordered the sushi (the first time they had ever had any) and they said it was very good. Me, I don't do any seafood, so I was glad they ordered it and enjoyed it.

Looking forward to your next post. Thanks for sharing. :goodvibes

Hey, TD! Just stopping by again to let you know that I am at home on DSL. This rocks!

Also I didn't mention in my earlier post that I certainly felt for you when reading about the guy in line - what torture to have to listen to a "know it all" for a solid hour with no escape. Certainly hope the ride on TT was worth all that!

Wonder if he impressed his girl? My guess is no, he most likely bored her to death or at the very least put her in a coma. She probably needed CPR after her date was over to revive her. :lmao: That was mean, but I've heard guys like that before - OBNOXIOUS!!!!!

Wow!! This must be the most popular update I've ever had. What a boost that was! :thumbsup2 I had a rough day today. Our NJ office lost power yesterday. Data center and building operation called me last night to warned me about the situation. This morning, I have to traveled to all the way to Hartford, CT, 3.5 hrs of driving each way, for 2 meetings.

I just go home, have dinner and then saw all the response and a few lurkers came out too. This means a lot to me. :lovestruc Thanks again.

I'm so sad to hear about your wallet :sad2::sad1:
I hope you had better luck finding the margarita glass!
Once again, your pictures are amazing--I get hungry just looking at them! :goodvibes
Super thanks.

Some how, I got the feeling the girl wasn't too interested about the topic he was talking about. But then she had to asked a question once in a while, (being polite I guess.) then he will start all over again.

Teppan Edo was really a great surprise. I would go back there on a heart beat but the ADR has to be a little earlier.
Oh Topdog so sorry to hear that the wallet never showed up. :sad1: But I'm glad that you didn't let it ruin the rest of your vacation. :cheer2: Great pictures and update again.
Thank you.

It's okay. Your DS can seat next to us any time. :thumbsup2
:rotfl2::rotfl2:
Great update! Sorry to hear about the wallet, but at least no one used the credit cards.
Thank goodness for that. The CC was my main concern.

If you think I am kidding about my DW, think again. ;)

Thanks Ledger. Teppan Edo was really a fun restaurant. As for the poky foot...just stay tune. I didn't name my TR "What a disaster!!" for no reason.

BTW, I meant to ask you after I read your old TR from 07. Since you work for your father, are you an accountant or bookkeeper for your father?? You know...ledger??
Your pics of Teppan Edo are so delicious looking, I cannot wait to eat there now!!. I am just like your wife, I love Ginger dressing. I'm so sorry about you wallet, your trip is not over yet, so hopefully it will turn up!
Every time we go to Japanese restaurant, DW always ask for ginger dressing. That's her favorite.
