Morning!

No time to ketchup. Need to straighten up, get dressed, run a quick errand, then get ready for company and THE BIG GAME!!!

GOOOOOOOOOOO BUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!

 and puckerup: to all!!

Good Morning all...

Not sure what I am doing today - probably running errands with Alyssa before I have to work at 4:00 (one of my staff members had surgery on Thursday and is still not feeling up to working so I am covering her shift).

Elaine - as to what you said about working from home - it definitely has its advantages and disadvantages - I love working in my jammies and eating at my desk - but the isolation is usually not a good thing.

Chris counselling appt went well yesterday - I think his counselor thinks that Chri really needs toget out of his environment - he even suggested that Chris take the ASVAB (SP?) not sure how I feel about that.

Sherry - enjoy your day and the BIG GAME!!
Tara - good luck witht he family dinnner tomorrow.
Suzanne - I hope your last day goes well - :grouphug:

More later gang.....

Good morning, all! Sorry to have missed ya'll for the last few days. Been so worn out when I got off work, I just crashed when I got home. Had every intention of dropping in yesterday morning, since I worked the late shift last night, but Dave has been on late shift too and he allowed me to sleep in till 10AM!! Then he took me to see Happy Feet, which was sooooo cute! So, here I am, slept in again, but have the rest of the day to play. I think we're going out for a bit of grocery shopping later, but nothing too strenuous! :teeth:

 Elaine, I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. Been there, too. I was amazed when I had that same procedure you did, that I felt as if nothing has happened. I wasn't sore or anything! So strange.

 Suzanne. Sorry your last day has arrived, but glad the new insurance will kick in immediately. Hope the new job turns out well for ya.

:hug:Paula, I know how hard it is for ya, but the counselor is right--Chris has to pick himself up on his own. So tough to stand by and not intervene. I know that you know he could do better, but it has to come from him, not from you forcing him. Hardest lesson I ever had to learn!

Sounds like it will be an exciting day at your house, come game time, Sherry!! So great that you can share that with friends and family! Kinda like tailgating, only it's in the house, huh?!

Whoo-hoo, Tara's diggin' out the luggage!! Must mean it's almost time for your WDW trip! Hope your class today is at least an interesting one, since you had to give up your day off for it.

 Amanda and prayers for the family troubles. I grew up in a dysfunctional family and it hasn't gotten any better over the years. Hope the friction doesn't totally ruin the Thanksgiving holidays for ya.

WOW!! Liz AND Jellybean, both in the same day!!

Karen, sounds like things are progressing nicely in your new home! A dinner party, even?! I guess my invite got lost in the mail..... Oh well, Dave and I are looking forward to seeing you again at WDW in a few weeks! Do you have a daily adjenda? What do the 12th thru the 14th look like, during the day?

Liz--potato chip cookies?? Never heard of 'em! Sounds kinda weird--cookies=sweet, to me, and potato chips=salty. Can't quite wrap my brain around the combination. Then again, I thought chocolate covered pretzels sounded like an awful combination of sweet and salt and I found out I was wrong there, too!!

Well, I guess I should at least get the laundry sorted and throw in a load. Gotta play domestic goddess today, I figure. Ya'll have a wonderful day and I'll try to drop in again later! :grouphug:

:woohoo: Hey everyone!!! You all did a lot of talking and I have a lot to catch up on, so it will be in short comments........just not enough time to say everything.

Elaine - :grouphug: I am so sorry. I do not have any words that can relay to you how much I am hurting for you. Hopefully OSU will win today to make Luis happy and then you will be happier. If you want Turkey, please come here....we will be having two. One on the grill(smoked) and one in my kitchen.

John - popcorn:: The band from Akron didn't come to the game. I guess it was too cold and too wet. Hope you stayed warm at your game.

Alan - :cloud9: You must be happy to have a date with your daughter. DH went to a Father/Daughter dance when she was around 2nd grade. He even gave her a corsage. She still talks about her first corsage. Hope you made some wonderful memories.

Suzanne - :sad2: I am sorry that you broke you toe. Can you still wear shoes? And once you have gotten over the shock of Kevins insertion......let me know why he stuck the eraser in his ear. :cheer2: Last Day of Work!!

Amanda - :stir: You have a lot on your plate this Thanksgiving. I do hope everything goes well. I have the opposite problem than you. I can't have real plants in the house because of the mold.

Todd - :santa: I got a sneak peak at the Osbourne Lights when we were at MGM two weeks ago. They were gorgeous....I could even see them from the Swan....we lucked out and got a corner room. We could see Epcot and Illuminations from one window and MGM from the other. :woohoo:

Sherry - Don't clean too much...it is family and they won't notice. :rolleyes1

Tara - :smooth: have fun with those lesson plans......I am glad that you are all prepared for your trip....now is this about putting lights on your bushes???? You would think it was time to decorate :p

Paula - Best wishes for Chris. My second born is my challenge child. She is a freshman in college now and is doing OK. I am sure that time will help him. Isn't the ASVAB the military test? Does he want to join? I missed OC this week because I was at a football game. Did anything good happen :bitelip: Sure hope that Alyssa's BF isn't giving her any trouble....I could come and beat the living daylights out of him if you want....and while I am at it I can beat Allison's exboyfriend also...... :Pinkbounc

Hello everyone else who stopped in.......it was good seeing all of you.

Our weekend was great. We got to see both kids and came home very late.

:wave2: How could I totally forget Beth.....hi there Cabin Buddy

Glad you have been able to sleep in. Have a great time shopping and then coming home to do :laundy: I have some here if you run out :hourglass

Back from shopping for house items...still need to finish the rest of the Thanksgiving shopping before Wednesday.

Betty...I got rid of all but one plant because of my allergies to mold. The plant I kept was one I gave to my Mom and my Dad couldn't keep it going, so I told him I would take care of it. My MIL has most of my plants.

Going to try to get in a 30minute walk before going to the gym for a weight workout...then leaving the girls there for Todd and I to go out to dinner alone and the do some Christmas shopping.

Wonderful evening to all.

Evening all! Luis is watching the game... I am too... well, let's just say I yell at the team and get ticked off quicker than most, so I avoid big games like this, so I am avoiding it. I know what the score was at the half, and I am just trying to kill time before the game is over ;)

Sherry, I hope y'all had a good time watching the game together!!!!

Paula, what is the ASVAB that you were talking of (not aware). I can understand hat environments really can make it or break it for some.
Oh and I can understand the disadvantages of work. In my old job, working from home would have been a bonus at many times. There were moments when I wish I could have gotten up at 2 am with the work that was being done to help guide the techs if something went wrong. I would have worked more than 8 hours easily in a day if I were at home.

Thank you Bethie, and yes, it is amazing how little I felt afterwards. I know they shot me up with pain killers and my back was hurting a lot (probably from laying down on my back like that for 2 hours) and a wee bit crampy, but nothing today. It's almost like nothing happened.

Betty, I'd love to come your way, but we leave for DC on Monday unfortunately. Can't leave early or go late either since we are flying  I need to get my knitting together so I can have a lot to work on while there.
You have me curious, what is going on with Allison's ex? I'm nosey you know ;)

Amanda, good luck getting things done tonight. My last Christmas gift came today so I can start wrapping soon. I will have to do the food gifts in a few weeks though. You reminded me that I need to kickstart walking again. I gave it up for a while due to some issues, and now I can start back anytime I want. Wonder if I could take long walks at DC next week :scratchin

Oh BETHIE!!!!!!!! What is your schedule like next week. We will be in town Monday night through Sunday morning. If it is possible I would like to meet up. If not, I totally understand. I need to call another friend too who Luis went to HS with as well as my friend Marc. We have a few others who might be out there at that time as well, so I hope ot have people to help me avoid bad things ;)

Amanda have a nice dinner with Todd tonight.....and have fun shopping!!

eveing gang,

wow! mothy for as saturday!!

Went to class. Was done by 1 :woohoo: my lesson went off very well!

Got the lots on the outside bushes. I have to find the rest of my lights to finish but they are packed away. Don't feel like moving that much stuff tonight!!

I did find the suitcases. one was full of the legos I took from Jar during the summer when he refused to clean them up and the other has scrapbooking junk in it! Now I can get packing...oh and we leave in 4 days, 14 hours 6 minutes and 30 seconds...but who's counting :confused3 :teeth:

Elaine...I'm glad you physically feel okay today. Still sending good thoughts your way. Hope your team wins today.

Suzanne...did you ever get a reason why the eraser was in his ear? Oh and I forgot to tell you that I could feel your pain with the sore toe...I think mine has finally healed from all the slip ups this summer!

Beth...wow woman relax some!! sheesh! you're making me tired!

Karen...it was so good to talk to you the other day! It sounds like you have made quite the dis pack with all your dis travelers!! I'm sorry I'm going to miss the Jellyrolls meet this year!

Betty...glad you got to see the kids!!

Amanda...good luck with your family! and I hope you and Todd have a good evening out! Mom and I need to get a sitter for a day so that we can get our shopping done!

Sherry...so hwo was the party??

Okay, gotta run and do some more cleaning for tomorrow!!

hugs to all!
tara

OMG, I can't believe we won :faint:

Only team in history to be #1 and play the #2 team 3 times in a season. That's pretty amazing!!!!

Truthfully I hope we play Rutgers. I'd like an easy team ;)

Woo hoo for leaving in such a short time, Tara! Where will you be for Thanksgiving meal? (just curious).

Off to find something to eat for supper :wave2:

Hi Elaine.....we are now watching the Rutgers vs University of Cincinnati game. I think it would be nice if OSU played Rutgers also. :bounce:

Enjoy that game Betty :) We are watching Elf right now. I have never seen it before and thought it would be a cute one to watch.

Anyone want to pack for me? I have to come up with stuff for Monday

Gee, Elaine....great minds think alike....must be why we get along. We are watching Elf and just tuning into the game on the commercials.

I would love to pack for you but I already have my slippers and jammies on.....so I better stay here. Also, my broom is being repaired so no trips for Witchy Betty Sketty.

We really are thinking alike. We are watching a game, though USC/Cal during commercials. That is the one that Luis is most interested in.

Eh, no worries on teh packing... I just don't want to do it. Then again I don't think I really want to go to DC ;)

Totally understand not wanting to go. I like Thanksgiving in my own house. We are still watching the Rutgers vs UC game. Wonder why? :rolleyes1 Oh yes, Allison said to tell you hi......and she still loves your coat!!!! :rotfl:

OMG, I totally forgot who Rutgers was playing *slaps forehead* I heard they were winning?

Tell your lovely daughter I say hi back... and the coat is still mine :p Actually thank her for pointing it out to me, you have no idea how many compliments I get on that coat! Everyone seems to love it. I just think it is fun and happy. It's a bit big now, but I won't give it up yet ;)

She will be so unhappy that you are not willing to give the coat up yet. :sad2: Yes, silly girl....University of CiNCINNATI They are still winning but the game isn't over yet. :happytv:

LOL, maybe some day I will give it up, for now I will just love it! Maybe I'll bring it down in the spring and she can try it on for a while ;)

I don't know why I forgot it was UC playing Rutgers... I just know I would like an easy person for OSU to play at teh National Champ so I am watching the top teams closely now :teeth:

Hey girls....

I'm watching ELF too - while I'm working....

Elaine - to answer your question about Chris the ASVAB is like the SAT's for the military.
