...Kimmar, I like that GermaRican!! :teeth: We are hoping to get to PR someday, if I can get over the flying thing....

....it's better'n SWIMMING there.....!

LOL, that's true!!!!
And I do remember you talking about the trip... I just didn't realize your mom had a home there :teeth: Lucky lady, though the one thing that is holding us back from a trip to PR is actually the flights... not so much the time (dramamine zonks me out) but the cost :faint:

Lily, hope you won't be working too hard soon! I say kick the son out and get a cat :teeth: Of course you can always come visit my kitties. Cleo really loves it when people visit.

John, sadly no YP for us either this year :( It really gets hard with all the home games here. I can't get out of Columbus easily since I am less than 2 miles from the stadium

Bethie, sorry that the knee is bugging you so much. That Yaris is really cute! I also like the Fit (Honda)... I admit I like the hatch better and I like 4 doors so the Fit wins a bit over me. The xA is a great looking car too! I like that one a lot! I'm "lucky" enough to have my right knee hurting so the left will be good for shifting for a while to come. I do hope you find a good way to get a car... but 4 jobs? Gack, I didn't know you had three :faint:
Oh and I love the way you think about the League of Nations :teeth:

Sherry, you'd think with the cold weather we could sleep better, but I didn't sleep well last night either. I hope you enjoy the day off from watching your nephew!

...actually, sometimes you can get really good rates for JetBlue to Aguadilla....

Afternoon, all.

I have a pile of stuff to do, but the darn jet lag did me in. Just woke up from a three hour nap! :thumbsup2

Kimmar, prayers for your Abuelita. Your mom is a special lady-to move away from the kids and grands to make sure Abuelita is taken care of in her older years.

Lainey, please tell Luis that one gets used to the heat pretty darn quick. Heck, we've lived here two years and California seemed COLD to us. I used to get headaches from high heat and now I don't even break a sweat! Yeah, dog is on the horizon-was waiting to hear back on one, but now I think it's time to go check some out from lab rescue.

Sherry, wine invitation's open to all! :teeth: You're going to look so pretty for the party-new hair and nails!

Bethie, isn't there a tax credit on the Yaris? That's a hybrid, right?

Tara, I agree-let him go naked. It'd only happen once.

Lily, go give it a try. Dunno who you're getting-I'll look at the mealprep website. I've had feedback on some, but got a bad review for one up in your neck of the woods (in Westerville, I think) It sure helps a lot on those busy weekends!

John, have fun with YP's last weekend!

At work, owners had been debating whether we'd close the week between Christmas and New Year's. The decision has been made, and for the first time ever, I am OFF that week. I need to call my sis and extend an offer to come visit us. If she can't, we'll take a short trip-probably to Key West. I'm soooo psyched! We'd really prefer that family comes to visit, but either outcome works.

Gotta go run to the north end of Tampa for something before work, so I'll pop back in tonight when I get home from work!

Not here... Jetblue doesn't fly into Columbus :(

Woo hoo for that time off, Suzanne!!! I am glad that you will be free that week for your family :) Oh and convince stubborn hubby of anything? Um yeah... no! He's actually lived in PR and Hawaii and still refuses because he hates heat.

Off to take a shower and get my hairs cut :)

....

still no word yet.....

Suzanne, I hope your week's plans for the holiday work out as you would like. Thanks for offering to look into the dinner place. We just got the flyer from Simply Done Dinners. I just checked the Web Site and we could really be eating like royalty if it works out.

Elaine, hmmmm kitty visitations. Great idea! Actually DH may be working somewhere closer to your place next week than ours. He's porbably pulling a detail he's not certain of it all yet.

Beth, well I'm so glad you got your priorities straight with the pick up of DH instead of bookkkeeeeppppping thing. (never remember the #of repeated letters in that word) :confused3

Sherry, you are getting all done up there. Enjoy!

TC, yeah, looks like it a pass year on YP.

Got my nails done and they look nice and purty. :teeth: Nice to be pampered...esp. with the week I've had. :rolleyes1

Suzanne, yay for the holiday time off!! I might be heading over for some wine real soon. ::yes::

Kimmar, actually, I think I'd prefer swimming..........even though I don't know how to swim. :lmao: We would probably fly out from Orlando though, so it wouldn't be too far, but still.....me+flying=:earseek: :faint:

....I think either Delta or Continental does....
They do, but the last time I looked the fare was sky high. Considering I can travel to LA for $300 or less, it seems like a total rip off to pay $500. Though I haven't looked lately. We have no time to go on a trip at the moment.

Lily & Kimmar, you both made me crack up!!!

Sherry, dramamine baby... that's how I made it to LA ;)

GA is on :wave2:

I know GA is on but I've got to get to bed!

suzanne...check out the first page of the "oppostional child" thread. I love people who have no clue what the hell they are talking about!! Thank goodness pages 2 and 3 are better!!

Elaine...Don't you know that you have to pay extra for a trip to an island because you get the wonderful scenery of the water as you cross it!! The only thing you see going to CA is the green landscape!!

Sherry...cool job on getting the nails all purty! I love having purty nails but I'm too cheap to worry about it! I understand the need for it!! trust me I do!!

Lily...hey great to see you. Sorry if Kimmar bumped you too hard. She can get a tad rambunctious at times!!

Kimmar....¿Como esta tu abuelita? (how badly did I mangle that one??? The only other spanish I can do....comé mierda y muerté!!

Gotta go to bed now!! See you all tomorrow!!

oh and I think a naked day at school or a pj day at school would be fine by me!!

tara

Tara, I saw it-and said 'back away from the laptop, woman, before you get yourself banned'. This was after replying to the thread asking if you have siblings you don't speak to. Hmmm, after working for the therapist's practice, how do you explain families with several kids and only one is ODD? It's part of Neil's 'alphabet soup' but we tend to ignore the DX-bigger fish to fry and all that jazz.

Lainey, would it be cheaper to fly someplace else (like MCO or TPA or MIA) and then book a second flight to PR? Never looked into it personally, but sometimes it's weird that way.

Lily, I won't bump ya! Haven't heard anything about Simply Done-lemme ask the expert. If she's got details, I'll pm ya.

Yay on Sher getting pampered!

Back to work! While I love the busy nights, sometimes it's a lot of fun to have the smaller groups to give them individual attention. :)

Suzanne

Just popping in to share my 10,000 post with you :)

Yay me!

Morning!

:yay: for 10K, Karen!!!

According to my MIL, it is cheaper to fly to PR from Orlando. So, if/when we go, we would drive to Orlando, leave the van at inlaws, then fly from FL. :teeth:

you mean person you ;)

Morning all! Everything I had to do this week finally caught up with me. I am so tired. I suppose lots of house work takes something out of you.

LOL, Tara, you are probably right about the scenery there! LAX doesn't have a snit of it ;)

I think I need to go look at that thread. I always get amused but how silly people are on the DIS :p
Yesterday I found this "holier than though" attitude on the restaurant board. Some lady was floored that her friend was going to WDW without one single ADR. She claimed that the kids would have no where to eat! Um... okay, I've done that! And if off season I've had no problem doing sit downs with a walk up or calling that morning if we wanted a place for lunch. But we all all know that everyone on the DIS knows better than us

I haven't looked at doing that yet Suzanne. I really don't want to look now though because I am afraid I will like the prices :rolleyes1
Though unless it is less than $200 to fly from FL to PR, I wouldn't be saving a lot of money. It was almsot $300 to fly into MCO this time  THough with the gas prices dropped, things might be different. I'll keep that in mind the next time I look ;)

Woo hoo!!!! Congrats on 10,000 posts Karen!!!

Sherry, to make you laugh... the idea of driving to FL probably scares me more than it would for you to fly period :teeth:
