I'm back...Tara, come have some wine with me!
Apparently, I put the fear of God into the child, because he was the model student today. After this morning's debacle, I was torn-do I send him to school the way he was acting or do I keep him home? (which rewards the lousy behavior)
I brought the kids into school, so I can give the teachers a heads up (his head teacher is a computer phobe). One of the paras saw the look on my face and immediate came up and hugged me-so I started crying.
The long and the short of it was I spent an hour talking with his teacher and she's getting some info together for us. We've been in a holding pattern on some stuff while waiting for SSDI. I'm good at keeping things together, but it's wearing me out. His teacher is awesome and had lots of advice. I feel better about it.
So, I still haven't written the trip report. Today was spent cleaning out the fridge and freezer, then going into work to make my meals so there would be food.
However, one thing from the trip-well, two, happened. First, on our way to Hollywierd, we noticed a Dale Tiffany outlet along the I-5. Ed and I are gaga over those lamps! We've got a bunch picked out for the house that we figured we would pick up one at a time (mission style/craftsman/Frank Lloyd Wright inspired). So, we went in-and found a one of a kind hanging lamp for our dining room. It arrived today and Ed will put it up tomorrow.
The other was that we found the mickey icon knobs that WDW discontinued, but DL still has. So, my cabinets now have icons!

The kitchen color scheme had been based on those knobs, lol.
Lainey, been painting some more? Wanna come help here? Home Depot's gonna loooooove me this week-getting paint for Neil's room next. Arggggghhhhhh!
Paula, meetings-ugh. My advice is to raise your hand when you've had enough and say "may I be excused? My brain is full"
Kimmar, he doesn't look very pirate like!
Bethie, thanks for the hugs. I needed them.
Gotta get dinner together-we have scouts in an hour.
