Kids were in the pool off and on all day. I never got around to getting in.

Inlaws came over and hung out all evening. Ended up getting some hot fudge sundaes from McD's and watch Like Mike 2 with the boys. It was a cute movie.

Tara, bummer you couldn't get the sitter. If ya lived closer, I would've watched them.

Evening, all!! Had a really nice day off today. Slept late since I closed last night and didn't get home till after 1am. When I got up, Dave peeked his head in the door and said, "Good morning, tires are all done!" There went my planned activity for the day--my car baby needed new shoes and he took care of it while I was snoozing!! I checked in with Sarah at work and offered to pick up lunch for the all day crop we're having, so we got out into the sunshine, which was SUCH a nice change from all the rain we've had this past week. Came home and watched some World Cup soccer, paid some bills, cooked a nice dinner and watched some more soccer! Tonight, we went out for ice cream and then to the fireworks display at the mall. Now we're watching Independence Day for the umpteenth time. Ahhh.......simple pleasures!

Suzanne, good luck with the painting and moving, yet again!

Tara, glad to hear you were able to tire those young men out in the pool! Hope the rest of your evening is a quiet and relaxing one. Enjoy your cross stitching!

wow am I pooped!

I have been sanding my metal stair railing and I it is not very easy. But then I just found that I have a paint striper that might take it off and boy am I going to feel stupid if this takes it off in no time. otherwise I will have to go buy more sand paper because this stuff is tough to get off!! Not to mention I'm sneezing black paint!!

well the paint stripper is not strong enough. It only takes it one layer off at a time and there are about 6 layers. So tomorrow i run to HD and get more 40 grit sand paper so that I can sand it off easier!! I just need to wear a mask so that I don't look like the guy in that picture!!

Good morning everyone! Remember me?

Sorry I haven't been around at all in the past month or so. Between work, home, looking for a new place to live, getting the house cleaned out, and even my DIS responsibilities, I haven't had time to even read this thread in a long time. Somethings gotta give, I tell ya. I need a break

I'm heading down to DC next week for a quick business trip. Fly in Wednesday morning, fly home Thursday night. They have every second of the trip planned for us, so it's going to be a busy couple of days.

The last weekend of October trip is definitely out for me. I am going to miss you all by just a few days. Since I already met most (if not all of you), I'm going to go down earlier in the month to meet my friend's family. Even that I may have to end up cancelling if I end up moving around that time.

I hope that all is well. I'll try to be better about getting in here.
