Like a bad penny, you never know where I'll turn up :teeth:

I remember that my 13th birthday fell on Mardi Gras Day, so I was enjoying the parades in Mobile, assuming they were all to celebrate my ascent into teen-dom. :thumbsup2

Good luck having three ;)

Thanks for the b-day wishes for Jared. :)

Just got back a bit ago from trick or treating. We had so much fun. :teeth: No more rain and the temp was around 60. :bounce: Afterwards, we had ice cream cake for Jared's b-day.

Gonna head up to bed in a bit!!

Evening, all! Got up bright and early this morning for a nice breakfast at the Grand floridian with Nancy & Dave, Mary Poppins, Alice, and the Mad Hatter. Pooh and Tigger showed up too!!! Mary Poppins stayed out in the hall, meeting and greeting, so we really didn't get to see her, except in passing. Pooh, Tigger and the Mad Hatter visited us at our table, but Alice gave us the cold shoulder. :confused3 Dunno what we did to make her ignore us.

Nancy and her Dave went off to MK after our yummy breakfast, while we trundled off to Epcot with plans to spend the day. We got fast passes for Soarin' and then checked out the new Nemo ride at The Living Seas. It was really cute, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Then again, I REALLY like Nemo and his gang, so I was inclined to like it from the start. Did Soarin', but didn't get the front row. So I bought the t-shirt instead! :teeth: I'm such a sucker for t-shirts  Headed over to visit with Figment and was even able to snag a camera at the end to make a goofy pic of ourselves! By then, we were starting to feel a little hungry, but wanted to hit Mission Space on an empty stomach. We practically walked on to the ride, even though the standby sign said 20 minutes! After our successful landing on Mars, we grabbed some lunch at the Electric Umbrella.

By the time we finished eating, we both decided we are too old to keep up this pace and we needed a nap. Now I am NOT a nap-taker and I was actually feeling like I was wasting valuable vacation time--after all, I can sleep at night when the parks are closed! All it took was lying down and I was out like a light. 3 hours later, Dave is telling me we ought to get a move on if we wanted to get back to Epcot to see Illuminations!

Here's where we had our first Disney disappointment. Sat at the bus stop and waited and waited and waited for a bus to Epcot. Finally, after nearly 30 minutes, a bus that said "Wilderness Lodge/Fort Wilderness" pulls up. So Dave goes up to the door after people got off and asked the driver where he was headed, cuz he still has the resort destination showing. Driver says "Epcot" and changes his sign, Dave says "Great! And we've got an ECV." Driver seemed to acknowledge that, but closed up BOTH front and back doors and drove off!! We were both flabbergasted, to say the least. Thankfully, the next bus was almost exactly 20 minutes later and that driver called the supervisor on the radio to meet us at Epcot so Dave could report the incident. Just to let him know it happened, not to complain or request any kind of compensation. Both he and the supervisor were very nice and apologetic and appreciated our letting them know. Happily, we found a great viewing spot for Illuminations with 1/2 hour to spare and ended the evening with Hot Fudge Mudslides at Beaches and Cream for "dinner".

Dave is now "sawing logs" (cuz he didn't sleep this afternoon!), so I'd best get the lights turned out. But before I go.......

Happy Birthday to Lela and to Jared!! Mickey D's for one and ice cream cake for the other--both are winners in my book!!

Tara, hope Ethan is feeling better soon! What the heck is the Norwalk virus?

Glad the rain cleared out amd trick or treating was good!

Night, all!! :grouphug:

Morning!

Sounds like a great day, Beth. Sorry about the bus incident, though.

We have enough candy to open our own candy store!! :earseek: Oh, and Jared ended up being Elvis and everyone loved his costume. :lmao:

Gotta get these boys up and moving!!

Good Morning!! :sunny:

I've got some ketchuping to do and then I'll be back to mingle!! :thumbsup2

Happy belated Birthday Jared!! :cheer2:

Sherry--Lots of candy? :Pinkbounc ..Mandy wanted to quit early because she seen one of her little (boy) friends and wanted to be at the house when he came by.. ..needless to say we didn't make it in time & she blamed it on me... :confused3 ..We DID have to hit the houses on the other side of the street on the way back for Cassie.. popcorn::

Beth--Sorry about the bus driver.. :grouphug: How was Illuminations? Need I even ask? :teeth:

Alan--How DID you get that picture? :confused3 :lmao:

Good Morning!! :wave2: Remember me? Boy! It has been a long time. Well we finally got moved, and I do  our new house. It is big and has lots of cool stuff. Love our wood floors and the kitchen layout. I have even made some of Amanda's amazing chocolate chip cookies!! Yummy! We are getting settled and still have LOTS to unpack, but for now most of the stuff we haven't used in months is still in the basement. I think it just may stay there for a very long time. We are happy to be moved and getting settled. That is the upside of thngs here.

On the downside, Barkley is not doing well at all. It looks like we will be putting him down sometime in the very near future. Sadly, he has cancer in his hip and there is really nothing that can be done for him but to keep him comfortable. I am a wreck. Greg is a mess. We both have very differant feelings about how things should be handled. Greg wants to keep him around...and I want to see him not suffer. For now, I think there is minimal pain...but, this is not going to get any better. The vet seems to think things should go quickly from this point, but you just never know. It kills me to watch both Greg and Barkley. Never have I gone through anything like this at all. It is absolutely heartbreaking.

Well that is all for now....going to take a little nap with my puppy while I can. It is good to see you all again! Hope you all have a great day...and if you are in the World...have a wonderful time~~~~  Tell Minnie I said

Liz, it's great to see you. I'm so happy you are enjoying the house, but sorry you are having to make tough decisions about Barkley.

Beth, thanks for the ongoing trip reports ::yes::

But my gosh; I thought Lainey took a lot of pictures

Thanks for sharing them. ;)

Todd, the hardest part of that pic was holding my camera steady while still driving that fast. :teeth:
