Evening, all! Got up bright and early this morning for a nice breakfast at the Grand floridian with Nancy & Dave, Mary Poppins, Alice, and the Mad Hatter. Pooh and Tigger showed up too!!! Mary Poppins stayed out in the hall, meeting and greeting, so we really didn't get to see her, except in passing. Pooh, Tigger and the Mad Hatter visited us at our table, but Alice gave us the cold shoulder.

Dunno what we did to make her ignore us.
Nancy and her Dave went off to MK after our yummy breakfast, while we trundled off to Epcot with plans to spend the day. We got fast passes for Soarin' and then checked out the new Nemo ride at The Living Seas. It was really cute, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Then again, I REALLY like Nemo and his gang, so I was inclined to like it from the start. Did Soarin', but didn't get the front row.

So I bought the t-shirt instead!

I'm such a sucker for t-shirts

Headed over to visit with Figment and was even able to snag a camera at the end to make a goofy pic of ourselves! By then, we were starting to feel a little hungry, but wanted to hit Mission Space on an empty stomach. We practically walked on to the ride, even though the standby sign said 20 minutes! After our successful landing on Mars, we grabbed some lunch at the Electric Umbrella.
By the time we finished eating, we both decided we are too old to keep up this pace and we needed a nap. Now I am NOT a nap-taker and I was actually feeling like I was wasting valuable vacation time--after all, I can sleep at night when the parks are closed!

All it took was lying down and I was out like a light. 3 hours later, Dave is telling me we ought to get a move on if we wanted to get back to Epcot to see Illuminations!
Here's where we had our first Disney disappointment. Sat at the bus stop and waited and waited and waited for a bus to Epcot. Finally, after nearly 30 minutes, a bus that said "Wilderness Lodge/Fort Wilderness" pulls up. So Dave goes up to the door after people got off and asked the driver where he was headed, cuz he still has the resort destination showing. Driver says "Epcot" and changes his sign, Dave says "Great! And we've got an
ECV." Driver seemed to acknowledge that, but closed up BOTH front and back doors and drove off!! We were both flabbergasted, to say the least. Thankfully, the next bus was almost exactly 20 minutes later and that driver called the supervisor on the radio to meet us at Epcot so Dave could report the incident. Just to let him know it happened, not to complain or request any kind of compensation. Both he and the supervisor were very nice and apologetic and appreciated our letting them know. Happily, we found a great viewing spot for Illuminations with 1/2 hour to spare and ended the evening with Hot Fudge Mudslides at Beaches and Cream for "dinner".
Dave is now "sawing logs" (cuz he didn't sleep this afternoon!), so I'd best get the lights turned out. But before I go.......
Happy Birthday to Lela and to Jared!! Mickey D's for one and ice cream cake for the other--both are winners in my book!!
Tara, hope Ethan is feeling better soon! What the heck is the Norwalk virus?
Glad the rain cleared out amd trick or treating was good!
Night, all!!
