Good morning.

What a talkative bunch this morning.

Mean Elaine :) How is Grumpy Luis today? Are you going shopping alone? ;)

Beth is doing retail therapy :bounce: And Lily is going to CF :bounce: Liz is going wheel shopping (that doesn't do anything for me :p ). Sherry is going to car show....for free :bounce:

I think it is cute that Pam took Gunny to McD's :) But, but how will your banana dance if you split it?? :teeth:

Cursed was "bad-good" (ya know what I mean? ;).....it was filmed so it made you jump, not for content, but for the surprise of it. There were a lot of LOL in it. You heard that much more in the theater than screams.

Karen good luck with shopping. Hope you have better luck than Christin did.

JRKaren.....glad you are enjoying your new toy.
I'm not into electronic gadgets. I leave that up to everyone else here.

Todd....you were so nice to talk you your mother so early.

M'Cori called for a long time last night to update me on wedding things :) That was nice of her. Her mother is there for the weekend and they are getting a lot done. Geoff is in hiding ;)

We are headed out to try a pub for lunch and see if it will work for the rehearsal dinner....I have been bad and putting my jobs off

Morning all!

Staying home today. Don't feel like getting dressed and running around. I did enough of that during the week.

 Banana split  (Get it Nancy??!! :Pinkbounc They mutate automatically ;) Well, it sounds good on paper......)

Nancy is going pubbin' Ohhh that sounds sooooo British. We need Boo to bop in and say something clever and witty!! :teeth:

Nancy - another one checking in who doesn't get turned on by techo gadgets! :wave2: I will admit to not even having a CD player in my car. I tried to uses the VCR/DVD combo in the LR the other night and got frustrated and watched my Survivor tape on my teeny, tiny TV in the bedroom.

I have a Palm Pilot that I bought last August that is still sitting in the box!

Sherry - I don't blame you for wanting to hibernate!

Todd, sorry to rub it in about the iPod. I'm psyched about my new new one. Can't you just not feed one of the kids for a few weeks so you can get one ;) Maybe they'll be deals out there on the old style ones. I know the Best Buy near my office knocked the price of the old ones down to $179.

JellyrollsKaren

No need to be sorry...
I am happy everyone likes them...
I'm sure i'll get one when they come down in price a little more... :bitelip:

Just got back from Wal-mart..thats always an adventure... :rotfl2:

Wal-Mart on the weekend :scared1:

Pam....LOL...why do you have a Palm Pilot?
Yep...I'm lucky the computer works as well as it does, or I wouldn't be here much.
You have a DVR?? ;)
I passed on the TiVo also.....that stuff just doesn't interest me at all.
When Dave gets the Ipod, we will probably give it away.

Okay....now I am really go to the pub.....I hope we only have to make one stop and get this over with.
then I need to go pay for the honeymoon  Now that is scary!!

Ooooh! I L-O-V-E my DVR.
It is sooo awesome. ::yes::

Pam, smart dog you have.........McD's fries are the best. :bounce:

Nancy -
DH and DD figured if I got one - that would eliminate the HUNDREDS of pieces of papers on my 3 desks. I just leave purchase orders, photo numbers, press releases, etc. stacked everywhere.

They were trying to get me organized!! :rotfl2:

Well - dirty dishes and laundry are calling my name

Hey those were MY dishes and laundry calling and they are mad you didnt show up!! lol

karen--Im so sorry to hear about your boss. I will keep his family in my prayers and you that you get a new job with one of those other drs soon.

Grumpy Luis and Mean Elaine.....ahhhhh see you guys ARE a CUTE couple!

Have fun ringing your bells Beth!

Shep sorry your mom woke you up. Its pretty frustrating when you only get to sleep in once or twice a week and then someone wakes you.

Liz, Liz, Liz.......howdy!

JRKaren--all your electronic stuff sounds cool. We have no ipods here. Im actually suprised the boys havent asked for one yet.

Nancy---all your wedding stuff is coming together, though sorry about having to part with the honeymoon money.

Sherry I feel like that too usually by the end of the week. Seems like sometimes I cant drag myself out of the house.

Gonna do a real ketchup in a little while, but wanted to pop in and say hi...

tell me I am nuts... I just decided to switch out my CD player in my car with one that will allow me to control my iPod from the stereo... and have better sound too (due to better amp)... yeah that is costing me $300 not including installation (which labor is free due to their sale)

but my new CD player can play all types of files on it so even though I have a 40GB iPod, we still have like 90-100GB of mp3s that I can burn onto a CD and have that play in my car as well now...

I still feel nuts for doing this, but Luis says I will love it... I know he's right but it's a lot of money

he thinks I ought to get new speakers too :p

I did go shopping for clothes and got some new ones... $260 worth of clothes for $89... I feel very good about that.

off to clean and do some laundry... will catch up with y'all a little later :)

Hi. I'm bored bored bored today. So what's new. Ho hum.

Ipods and new CD players! :cool1: Fun goodies! When my funky little Rio mp3 player bites the dust, I'll have to do the Ipod thing! They sound great!

That was a beautiful picture, Paula! Very nice!

Buy ya something good Kimmie? I'll try
Oh you silly girl! You'd better not!!

Yay on the excellent clothing purchases Meanie Elaine! Hey! Are you related to Meanie Beanie?! ;) Sorry you have a Grumposaurus in your house. I have to admit, I'm usually the grumpy one in my house.

How was the pub Nancy?

I'm giving the evil eye to Suzanne's hives. That should skeer'em away! Have you tried alternating Zyrtec and Benadryl Suzanne? That's what I had to do in order to get them under control Actually, they had me "overlapping" the doses just a bit. I became a giant sleeping lump.

Aiken "smut stories"... snerk!! :p

Karen, my prayers are with your boss's family and with you too.... I hope all goes well regarding employment, etc.

Liz, your aunt and uncle did a wonderful thing! God Bless them!

Tara, a hug to you for you for all you've done to help your student. It takes courage and true love to do what you did. Kudos to you!

Did Lily make it to the Ipod/Apple store? :)

Hi Beth! How goes the dingaling'ing?

Hi to Deena, Pam, Sherry, Todd, Liz, Rose Mary, Paula... Oh gosh, brain cramp.... :rolleyes1

Guess I'll go grump at Tom and Cam awhile! Have a good one!

...I know his foul mood started when I was ticked off that the alarm didn't get set. In a huff, he moved it over to my side of the room and still can't seem to let go of it all.
Elaine, buy another alarm. We did that. That 2nd clock saved that kind of dispute. Then for Christmas one year I went and got Ted a Bose. He now wakes up to the track on cd that plays "When You Wish Upon A Star." Hope you guys are having a jollier day. Great deals at the store for you. You will love your new car player. That is what I am told by friends who have them.

I had a piece of cheesecake for EVERYONE! Oh yummy!

Todd, glad you talked to your Mom. Sorry it was so early though.

Beth, sorry you got cut out of one of those classes, but retail therapy instead seems like a pretty fair trade!

Karen, hope you have been having a good day today with the kids. I was thinking only spring colors were out. I didn’t think about what Elaine said. That makes sense about having them around for business use.

Pam is having fun with the youngsters at their party! I hope you don’t fall asleep as 8:00 p.m. rolls along. You might need a nap before you go. Still have a BOXED Palm Pilot! Egad, you must do something about that.

Suzanne, hope by Wednesday you don’t have to go.

Nancy, hope your lunch was good. Pub place sounds like a fun thing. GIVE AWAY the iPod? Egad! How kind of you.

Sherry and Deena, I usually have that problem about going out of the house on Fridays. By the end of the week it is all I can do to get home. I like that evening to relax. Actually, that is most days after I get home from work. It is really tough to go back out again. Curling up and being comfy. Hope you both found a way to get that done this weekend.

I don’t have a DVR here either. Don’t really watch TV that much, so I’m not sure it is a great investment.

Kimmie, you go with that evil eye! Something should work, maybe that will do it! Sorry you are bored.

Not ready to talk about my shopping experience. Hmpf!

:wave2:
Only took 4 1/2 hours to do that lunch
Food was very good. Dave enjoyed the ale sampler ;)
The woman to talk to about the private room wasn't there....so we wait and call her to see about price. Not sure if it will work. $100 for the room....and then the good. Might be out of the price we were hoping for.
It was a pain to find....and get out again....but we were coming from the oppostite direction from what we will be from the rehearsal.
Ack....I am so glad I am only the groom's mother!!

Yep...give the ipod away.....but probably to Christin. We just aren't into that kind of thing.
M'Cori had hers for a year before she started playing with it :)

Pam...I love all my notes and things all over the desk. :teeth:

Elaine....great job clothes shopping.

Ketchup time :)

Pam, you do NOT spoil him then... or you wouldn't have made the comment about Arby's ;) However, I am curious, is your DQ only open seasonally? If I couldn't get a Blizzard in teh dead of winter, I'd probably lose it.

Sorry you are still dealing with the hives there Suzanne, hopefully they'll be gone by the time you go see your doc. LOL, I think that Grumpy T-shirt would be just the thing sometimes ;)

LOL Nancy, Grumpy is doing much better. Sleep seemed to have helped him a lot I think. He also enjoys watching me shop for clothes, whether I buy them or not... he just likes watching it all I guess.

Sherry, enjoy the day off!!!!

Todd, that may not be too much longer... they have some really good deals now on the prices... you may own one sooner than you'd think ;)

I agree with y'all... McD's does have THE best fries!!!!

Okay, Alan is *really* going to pay for this!!!!!!!!!!!

Kimmie, come over here and we'll be bored together. Oh wait, I didn't have such a boring day though. I am not related to meanie beanie though :p Twit!

Too late ;)

LOL, Lily, we must have 3 or 4 alarm clocks in this house... right now we'll see how it works with the alarm on my side of the room. Oh and being the business girl myself, I always take note of the dk colors... I just bought two pairs of black pants myself today and added a few more black items (track suit & cute sweater thing) today. I am a black lovin' chick ::yes::

Nancy, I do hope the room will work out for y'all. You are doing far more than my MIL did for our wedding... shoot we even did all the "groom duty" arrangements ourselves. Luis and I had nearly no help in the planning (besides money from my dad). I do realize they are far away, but so sweet of you to do so much.

I should go check on the clothes and all that downstairs... trying to dry a comforter and it is taking forever!!!!

Back from Bball and shopping. Bball was great as usual. The little ones are so cute to watch, they have such fun out there and thats what its all about having fun. My eldest was awesome on the court tonight. He is really learning the game and having a blast playing.

I got some great deals at Lane Bryant. They did not have dresses nor skirts in black or navy but I got a dark gray suit jacket that was 79.50 for 6.99 and a pair of matching pants that were 44.50 for 6.99. Both need to be taken up so I doubt I will wear those for the viewing and memorial service. I also got a pair of black pants for regular price and a black shell with a lace overlay. Thats what Im wearing to the viewing and services for my boss. Even though I had to pay regular price for those two the girl gave me a coupon for 25.00 off my entire purchase and another 15 percent off my entire purchase for opening a Lane Bryant charge even though I was using my debit card to pay for the purchase so I got 199.00 worth of stuff for 61.50! I also earned a coupon for a later purchase that takes 25.00 off a 50.00 purchase. If the other job doesnt come through for me for some reason I am going to need clothes to interview in. Even if it does I don't have any dress up clothes only work clothes and stuff that I wear when Im not working and to church which arent very dressy.

:rotfl:

That is too too funny!!! I want some of those!!!!

Karen, sounds like some excellent buys!

Finishing up laundry, but wanted to point out this good deal... the Angels pointed it out to me 2 Disney phones for $15

Hi gang,
Quick fly by!! Had dinner with Bethie and Dave! We had a great time! Jarrod and Ethan actually showed some good behavior :teeth: well so did Beth and I!!

However, we will not talk about the hot fudge container that I broke!! hehehe I'm sure it wasn't my fault!! :rolleyes1

Anyway...Beth and Dave should be back to their hotel soon but they looked like they were both RUNG out!!! (thanks Beth!)

I'll post my pics tomorrow!!

G'night!
tara :teacher:

ps...I meant to thank everyone for the hugs. From what I could gather yesterday...the Social Services workers were going to see the parents to make the report and ensure the children's safety. I doubt the child will be removed from the household...unless things are worse once they get to the house. I should know more on monday when the child returns to school. Thanks for the hugs!!

evening, still hivey here!

I'm gonna grab some zyrtec on the way outta town in the morning. I've also sworn off my beloved strawberries :rotfl: , even though I know I'm not allergic to them. They're the only other thing that I've had a lot of in the past couple of weeks.

Lainey :duck:, I have the 'classic' phone. I got a great deal at the time, but I find that the battery doesn't last all that long. I might pick up some more, cuz I love how the phone has mickey saying "Oh boy" and he sings a little song. When you press the locate button, the phone says "Hey pal, over here" until you get it!

:teacher: Tara, glad you had a good time with Beth and Dave. Oh no, a poor hot fudge package was damaged---I'm sad.

pirate: Nancy, glad the pub was good. I love pubs, real ones, that is. I want the roadkill candy...that is TOO funny!

I think I'm gonna pack it in-we keep having brown outs here. My 'pute isn't dying, but the cable modem keeps getting bumped off.

Might check in tomorrow before we leave.

Suzanne

Hello everyone!

No time to write a long post this morning. Just want to say that I have the classic Mickey phone, and I love it. It's so cool to hear Disney music when my phone rings. The only thing I don't like about it is that I can't rest it on my shoulder when I'm talking on it or I hang up on people (right, Liz?).
