The DH

Thanks everyone. We will now own a disney phone. Not a build a bear but a mouse phone for me. Lily can share it if she wants to. Will arrive in a few!

Quick hi before I head off to church.

Glad you had a good time with them Tara! And best wishes to the child and the family.

Suzanne, hope you get some relief from the hives before you leave!

Hi Karen :wave2:

Lily, yay for the phones :p

I got the pack that has one of each in it... I couldn't decide between the two and was happy they offered the option to get both :teeth:

That was Ted posting; he hijacked my 'puter. He tells me that this DIS has caused him to spend more money. He couldn't get his finger moving fast enough to get the phones! Thanks Elaine. Tee hee. He got classic as that is his thing. He likes all things Mickey.
:confused3 :earsboy:

Actually, Nancy and Pam, while I love my little Palm thingy I use it more for calendar rather than notes. I still like to "feel" and hold those more often than not. I am still trying to "train" myself away from that. Alas, I think it is hopeless.

Nancy, I think I would have loved sampling the ale with Dave more too! :earboy2:

Nancy and Pam, You know if you served up those roadkill gummies I would partake. Those are really funny! Mmmm.

Tara, Beth and Dave, so glad you all met up and had a good time. Oh, and Tara, of course the boys would behave...it's Bethie! Looking forward to seeing the pics.

Suzanne, have fun! and No more hives.

JRKaren, guess your review of the Mickey phones didn't deter Ted at all. I will be the one "hanging up" on folks then. I am notorious for that with some phones we have had.

Everyone, have a great day. I am still a bit pouty from yesterday but am getting over it.

hey everyone :wave2:

haven't been here in wayyyy too long a time! :sad2:

hey Lily!!

my family is doing so well, thanks for asking.
Believe it or not, my brother is actually back skating(he still skates better than me  )
and my dad can walk pretty well with a walker.

how are you? :)

Well Im back among the computer living. Michael and I went to 4 stores last night to look at the stuff and get what we wantes. Got a flat panel from Fry's, tower from Best Buy, and speakers from Circuit City...lol.
And I can now use these guys again :teeth: Well Im off for Evans party today.

Quick good morning. We're getting ready to head out the door for church.
Have a b-day party after church for the little boy I used to babysit. They are having it at Eatza Pizza. MMMM!

:grouphug:

Good morning.

Manda...glad to see you back. And very glad your family is doing so well.

Lily....I think Dave wants to go back to that pub/brewery soon ;) So many types to try/so little time. They have samplers for $1.00. He had 5 yesterday :teeth:

We're going to lunch ana our usual movie today.
Hope everyone has a great day.

:wave2:

Birthday party went great! Had a lot of :rotfl: , , :Pinkbounc , :rotfl2: , and of course some :earseek: over my choices of birthday gifts! (Well... the little old ladies DID enjoy the Pecker Peppermints!!!! :rotfl2: )

The dog and I picked up DS at Camp this morning - missed Church because my son is such a nice guy, he stayed and cleaned up the kitchen because everyone else blew out of there except for about 5 guys.

Nancy ! Ooooohhhh....... I need some of those Roadkill Gummies!! :rotfl: I will have to try and find them before they're yanked off the shelves!! Tell hubby not to "sample" too much. They just opened a micro-brewery in town this week. They also serve food - but they really knocked my minister in the newspaper - the building is very close to the Church and the congregation didn't want alcohol served that close. So the guy started a smear campaign..... I don't drink anyways - but I probably won't go there because he ticked me off. People should not tick me off..... ;)

Tara - so you met up with the ding-a-lings, huh? Did you cheeto Beth for us? Hey JRKaren - we're supposed to be getting hit with ANOTHER snowstorm....... I still think the oranges in a pillow would be a good thing....

Elaine - what's shakin', Mama???

Well - I'm off to do something. I'm not sure what - but it sounds better to say that I am going to something instead of saying that I am going to crawl back into bed with a bag of Cheesies, a Pepsi, and my InTouch magazine....

Lily - New phones?? WooHoo! Hey - if your DH keeps posting here we will have to make his do the Ritual Nekkid Initiation YaYa Dance..... I must have missed something - why were you pouty yesterday???

Suzanne - hives?? :guilty: Poor dear - I am sitting here scratching now in sympathy. Benadryl works great for DS when he gets those. Did you try Calamine lotion?

Hi Manda! Wow - your brother and Dad have made great strides in their recoveries! That is wonderful! :cool1:

Deena - welcome back to the world of computers!! Evan is having a party? Where???? Why wasn't I invited?? I'm on the crap list now - huh? You have decided to shun me along with everyone else.... :rotfl2: I'm soooooo hurt!!

I'm not sure what happened - but my last post is all out of context.....

The closing went up into the middle of the post for some unknown reason.... :confused3

Pam, I have tentative plans to have dinner with Beth (and hopefully Dave, too) this week when I'm in DC. I'll be sure to throw some oranges at her in person. And

You are THE BEST, JRKaren!!
(I just hope you can get to DC - they are calling for storms here starting tonight and lasting through Wed.! :guilty:

Went to church, lunch & then dropped my car off to get the new stuff installed... we went shopping and hopefully my car will be ready within an hour or so now. They called not too long ago to clarify something with me (about the interface that is being installed) so I cannot wait.

Lily, too funny that Ted likes to hijack like that :teeth: Oh and I am notorious for hanging up on people too with a few of our phones as well.
Funny, I still think I use my cell phone more so why I felt we needed more house phones, I don't know yet :p

Howdy Manda! Good to see ya!

Deena, yay for the new computer & stuff!!! Hope you had fun at the party :)

Nancy, sounds like you found a good place whether you are going to use it for the wedding or not ;)

Pammy, not too much shakin' we'll see how the car shakes on my wya home though ;) And hey, your "something" sounds great to me!!!

Karen, very cool about your plans to see Bethie... give her a hug for us if that does happen!

Not sure why, but I am so tired... I could curl up and sleep... too bad I have to run teh vacuum and still, the never ending pile of laundry...

Oooooo, sounds like I will be well-stocked with orange juice shortly!! :teeth: How can you say this storm is my fault, anyway?! I was out of town!!! I'm hoping all goes well for your travel, Karen. You might want to consider leaving tonight, though. The storm is supposed to hit here around daybreak. :sad2:

Yes, we are pleasantly (w)rung out from our weekend. Had an absolute blast and hope to get to go again. The other adult choir is supposed to go to next year's festival--I may have to beg to be allowed to sub or get myself moved up to that group! Then again, since we'll be getting a new director, maybe BOTH groups will go!! Here are a couple of pix from the festival.

Blue covered tables are ours--you can get a bit of an idea how big this thing was! We were in the Grand Ballroom of the Chesapeake Conference Center.

We were treated to a special concert featuring music played on this Glass Armonica, which was invented by Benjamin Franklin back in the 1700s. The wheel causes the spindle to turn and rotate these nested glass bowls. The player makes music in the same way a wet finger on the rim of a wine glass makes sound! He dips his fingers in water and holds them against the gold band ringing each bowl. Plays it almost like a piano! It was FABULOUS!!!

Ah, the hot fudge incident!! Max and Erma's will never be the same!! LOL!!!!! Tara and her mom were beautiful, as always and the boys were adorable. Jar must have felt that mom was ignoring him a bit too much because he crawled under the table and came up between Dave and me!! Tell him we said Hi, Tara! And tell Ethan we say, "GRRRRrrrrrrrrrr"!! LOL!!!!

Must go change the laundry and see about some dinner.

Just got home and I feel much better now. I got to “walk it off” so to say. Got the crabbies cuz I let it get to me last night. DH and I had a very nice ride to the Apple store and I got to see all the lovely toys that I would enjoy some day. Well DH decides he likes the new iPod minis so much he got himself set up with one and the sport band to take it to the gym. (btw it’s blue). We then went to CF and had a nice lunch and decadent dessert. Mmmmm. Now I’m ready to take my turn at the mall for the look see as agreed upon before we made this trek. We pass by the drive and I’m figuring that he’s going around back as we don’t usually ever go to this mall together. Well he gets on the freeway and away we go, I’m saying what’s up with this and he completely forgot that it was my turn! He did offer to turn around, but that would be such a hassle as the next exit is so out of the way. So, I put on my pouty face and had a miserable night that kept getting worse cuz when you are in that kind of snit, nothing is going to get it better. I took Azmarelda with me to beddie, threw in POTC and we watched until DH finished playing with the set up of his toy. Ted likes his new toy and I am glad of that. He went for the walk with me today and we went to my happy place. We did 4 miles on the icy trail of the Towpath in 1 hour and 40 minutes. That is a miraculous fete as you will remember Ted is doing this 6 months after his hip replacement. He is a bit sore right now, but says it is not too bad. Life is good for now. More later, dinner prep now.

Wow, people on the DIS are way too chatty if we were on page 3 ;) Thanks for the bump Bonnie :)

Bethie, I love the pictures!!! I think that looked so amazing where y'all were!!! Welcome home, and hope you can rest well now :)

Lily, glad you were able to "walk it off" Sorry you were so crabby for a while though. Hate when happens.

Went to visit my dad after he got home (went on a quick business trip to London, England) and showed off my new CD player and stuff to my him as well. Now I am off to read through the manuals :teeth:

:wave2:

Had a fun time at the party.

Beth, great pics.

Lily, glad you were able to walk things off.

Off to watch the Oscar's!
