TC, June 4 is what would be my brother's 49th birthday - he passed away 4 days after his 34th birthday. Our DD was supposed to graduate last year on June 4th but because of snow days - it was pushed back to June 5th.

Paula - sounds like you had a great day with your son. My 16 yr. old DS hasn't experienced BaB yet - I keep hinting for the Beagle - I think I'm getting one for Mother's Day!

Last year of HS brings a lot of stress, especially to girls.

Did some shopping this morning and I think I am finished with my basket exchange. I will hopefully get a box this weekend and have it out on Monday or Tuesday!

No snow here. YAY!! We may get about an inch tonight, though.

Liz, I love my pink Ipod. I figure I'll keep it and just see about a price adjustment. Its only been 2 weeks since I bought it.....can't hurt to try.

Hello everyone!

No big ketchup here right now. I just have to do a happy dance. I thought there was an error in my pay check that gave me an extra hour and half of overtime. I talked to my boss about it because I try to be honest if I see errors (you know I'd piss and moan if I had been shortchanged, so I think it's only fair that I mention it when I get more). Well it turns out that one afternoon, my boss told us we could leave early because of a snowstorm, and I couldn't leave when she said, so they gave me double time and a half for staying on the snowstorm day. Not necessary in my opinion, but I'll take it

Hi everyone,

Im home and My boss didn't make it. He passed away this morning after they went above and beyond to try to save him. I was the first one to find out. I went in to see him, held his hand, told him what a wonderful boss he was and what s sweet person he was, and told him he would be very missed. I was there when his wife got there. Im holding up pretty well considering I loved my boss to death and this is the second boss I have lost to a heart attack in four years. Reality has also struck that I am now out of a job soon. Thankfully I already heard from one of the other offices that wants to hire me. God opened a door after closing a window. Im just saying prayers that the timing will all work out. Im also calling one of the therapists I saw a while ago and seeing if she can fit me in today. I think I need to debrief.

I am now the owner of a new blue iPod mini. I don't like the color as much as the blue of my original one, but it's still OK. I wound up skipping getting the service plan on it--the Apple service plan is $59 and it only adds one additional year over the one year the machine comes with--the Best Buy one was $49.99 for two additional years. So, I wound up spending $100 less.

Deena, I got my first round today and should get my next round sometime next week. I ate a portion of some Tagalongs and then I sent them away to others. I have a bunch of Lemon Coolers for myself to eat over the next few months. Next round will get me my thin mints and my other half of the Lemon Coolers

Hey all!! Made it to Chesapeake all in one piece and was pleasantly surprised to find a 'puter in the lobby!! For ANYBODY--even me!!! Looks like it is going to be a busy festival--we ring tonight from 6-7 and again from 9-10. Classes from 7:45-8:45 tonight and then 8:45-9:45 in the morning. Ring again 10-11, then lunch, then classes again 12:30-1:30, massed rehearsal (that means EVERYBODY), we get to watch a special concert at 3:15 and then put on our own concert at 4:00. There are about 50 choirs here and each have 10 or more ringers (14 in ours). That's a LOT of bells!! Getting ready for our late lunch/early dinner, now so we can be fed and ready to rock come 6PM!

Prayers for you and your boss's family, Karen. I'm so sorry he's gone. Good luck with the job situation and all.

Thanks for the pampering!! Mel does such a nice massage and Michael keeps that hot tub at a positively delicious temperature!!

what I don't get is how he can go from being as sweet as can be on Weds (I was hurting needed *gasp* tampons and he went out and got me an array of feminine products, Aquafina... fell in love with that water this week, and ice cream w/o even being asked to) to this...
