As for me - it's 8 degrees here - accoring to my Weather Bug we have a blizzaard advisory for tomorrow night into Sunday. We are supposed to visit SUNY Albany with DD tomorrow - DH says we'll still go. Kids are out - DS at a friends - DD out to eat with BF - I'm sure it will be a Sci-Fi Channel night for DH..and a DIS night for me. Have to work Sunday 12-5 so may not ketchup til Monday.

Boy am I glad this week is over. It's been totally nuts in our office. Im hoping it slows down some soon though I doubt it because it's season here.

Welp I guess I better figure on what's for dinner. The chicken I had planned for the crockpot this morning was still frozen solid so that was the end of that. LOL It's still frozen. Should be thawed for tomorrow nights dinner.

Went to the grocery store this afternoon and OMG the place was PACKED!!!!
I guess everyone was stocking up for this storm that is supposed to come tonight.

John, that's OK that you didn't remember. Hope Sue doesn't get stuck in this storm.

Karen, I'm not sure how long he can remain on disability. I haven't heard from him yet, so I don't know if they kept him, or if he's sitting in Labor Relations waiting to see if they have a job for him.

All this talk of milk and cookies reminded me of the yummy treat that I baked a couple of nights ago. I posted about it in a thread called If Sam's Club keeps this up, I'll never lose weight.

It started out as a reply on this thread, but I was on a roll and decided to post it for everyone to see. Not that it's anywhere as good as a Zurg or delswife post, but it was the best that I could do on short notice.

Thanks for the offer of a place for Sue to stay, Elaine. She has enough stuff to stay at her relatives for 3 or 4 nights. I think that she's there for the duration. Apparently the hospice nurse things that Uncle Ed's time has come and Sue wants to be there for her aunt and uncle. I just hope that she's got enough sense to stay there and not risk a drive home with all the crazies during the snowstorm.

Well, it hit 10 degrees here today. I was ready to break out the shorts. Now, they are predicting 10-18 inches of snow on Saturday into Sunday. I am not happy about that. Now, I'm ticked off at Caroline for sending the snow south, and Bethie for requesting in.

Deena, sounds like you are having one of those "Calgon take me away" days. You sure got a rambuncitious little guy there. I can't remember. Is Connor the youngest or the second youngest?

AA, glad to hear that Mrs. AA is on the mend. Good thoughts for a continued speedy recovery!

Bethie, I'm not stalking you. You are stalking me. I think you were jealous because Caroline and Liz were having so much fun stalking me that you wanted to join in.

Nancy, I'll agree that the PF Changs Orange Chicken is pretty bad. I had it once, and won't order that again. I do like the chicken lo mein, though.

Kristy, have fun scrapbooking! I think I'm going to scrapbook during the storm on Sunday. I really have to get working on the pictures from my December trip, and all the fun Yayas (and Beth) that I met.

Lily cans her cookies? She probably has an emergency stash in the freezer, covered in glass with a little hammer.

Paula, don't you just hate New England winters? Cold and snow. Yuck.

John, I'm sorry to hear about Sue's uncle. I'll keep them in my thoughts and prayers. I'm going to check out your other thread.

Well, Junior just called and he'll be off for a YEAR. If his shoulder heals or his restriction gets lifted he is to tell them and they'll see what they have available. UGH!! He's very upset and is going to talk to a comittee man and see if they can do something. He has to get all kinds of paperwork filled out now on Monday. I can't believe all this has happened to him.

I think I have decided to go off the med that's supposed to help me quit smoking. First off I don't feel any different nor do I feel like I want to smoke less on it etc....and it's causing very bad noticible tremors in my hands. Why use something that really isnt working and is causing problems.

Sherry I am so sorry to hear about Junior. I hope the committee man can do something for him.

Yikes Karen that is a lot of snow. Please do not try and shovel it yourself. Get your brother out there to do it.

Holy Crow. I was just talking to eldest ds and he just told me he got 99th percentile in both math and reading for the Benchmark Assesment Tests. These are the precursor to the FCAT tests they do in March. I am just SO proud of him!!!

I must admit I never understood the stocking up before a storm. I figure if we lose power, we aren't going to want food anyway... we'll be eating out more And I doubt we'll ever be totally locked in the house int eh first place

Oh goodie Elaine is going to do a snow angel for me!!! I used to love to do those as a kid. Heck Im just a 42 year old kid now LOL!!!

Just one of those hectic weeks. Im glad it's over. I did manage to get a lot of work done and got myself pretty caught up even though we were busy. It's amazing what I can get done when not on Prednisone LOL.

I talked with dh and I am going medless. Im not going to take it anymore as of tonight. It's not helping and it's causing problems. No sense in taking it. He is aware that tonight is the end of my smoking and said he would help me in any way he could and especially keeping the kids calm so I stay calm LOL.

Anyways, is anyone else hoocked on "I love the 90's part deux" on VH1? I've been watching it all week. It's fun to hear about things I haven't thought about in years. I also loved the "I love the 80's" series, but I'm much too young to appreciate the "I love the 70's" series.

Has anyone been watching the Surreal Life this season? It has Mini Me, Peter Brady, a couple of models (Markus Schensomething and Adrienne Curry), a rapper named Da Brat, Jane Weidlin from the GoGos, and the wrestler China. It is wicked funny this season.

Anyways, I heard on the radio that 47-year-old Peter Brady is now dating 22-year-old model Adrienne Curry. I'm sorry, but that is just nasty. He is old enough to be her father. There is just something creepy about it.

My DSL modem came in the mail the other day, but I can't use it until Tuesday night. I can't wait until I can use DSL. I can't wait until I can get rid of AOL. I'll probably overlap them for a month to make sure I'm happy with DSL, but I can't wait to nuke AOL.

I can't say much about the ages of some... I have a friend who is living with a man (and they have a child together) who is about 20 years older than she is. Not that much better... but they are happy as can be

snow------ughhhhhhhhh-----my car is already full of salt from a few days ago and just when it all melted away too.....yuk!!

I have been spending alot of time on the anysoldier.com boards and reading the soldiers posts and request and I found out for $10 Avon sends them care packages too sooooooooooo I will be checking all that out. I sent out 7 letters and included the names and address of the girls in my Yahoo snailmail scrapping/swapping group who asked to be on the list..Some slodiers just request letters soooooooo my group is out to please..

I also spoke with my Avon manager about my problems and my slump and she says honestly everyone seems to have slacked, but I am still doing better then some...she is also trying to get me back into leadership now that I have more free time..sooo I may end up going to people's houses and signing them up to sell..I was even thinking of doing an open house and advertising for all curious people to stop buy, win a prize, have a cup of coffee and enjoy the meeting..of course it will have to wait til February..

went to BJs wholesale club and got me a membershio and ordered a cake for dh surprise party..it's next week, thank goodness it s almost over..

ds came home with an honor certificate from school, seems like he raised his grades again and is back on high honor roll.. full report cards come out in february so we shall see how ell he did.

ok ok ok i think i have talked out my welcome, my post became a story book so i will stop here for now..i will be in and out depending on if the power holds up and electricity stays on through this storm..my temp is reading 8 degrees right now...bbbrrrrr

This is shaping up to be a lovely morning. I went to the store to get milk and doughnuts for breakfast. On my way I saw a cat curled up in the street. When I came back I caught a glimpse of his face which was full of blood. I had dh go around and see if he thought what I thought that the cat had been hit. He said yes and I called Animal Control. I had to go stay with the cat until they got there. When I talked with the man from animal control he said they wouldnt even try to save him that they would just put him down. I am SO sad right now. I know I did the right thing but Im still very sad. I couldnt let the poor thing suffer out there like so many other people did just driving by the poor kitty.

Morning all... it is very pretty out right now and I think we are lucky and should only be getting about 6" of snow. We'll go check out the driveway personally and all that in a short while. So I do think we'll be on for tonight

LOL, Stacy, glad you found your way back! Thanks for the good wishes on the sleep... I am slowly getting there and at least on the weekend I can nap more to make up for it. I have a bad cycle for me that if I cannot break, it just gets worse.

Karen, hope your day gets better. Sorry about the cat though... sadly things like that happen. We lost a bird one day that had fallen out of the tree. Nothing could've been done no matter how early, and it died in my lap (in a box) as we were trying to go to the animal rescue place.
