We Went To See Lion King Last Night

What a great show. The props and the animals were amazing. Madi decided she didn't want to go, so Emilie took a friend who was amazed by the show as Emilie.

As they were singing the song, "He Lives In You" I knew I knew it from somewhere. It's not on the movie is it? Even so, do they play it in WDW somewhere? It seems like a very familiar song to me, but I haven't seen the movie in years.

I think that song is from the Lion King 2.

Great show isn't it! They really start it off with a bang!!

We sat on the end, which wasn't alway ideal, but at the beginning of the acts the girls loved having the animals right next to them singing.

Maybe that is where I have heard that song. It still made me think of Disney World, though.

My favorite song from that movie has always been "Can You Feel The Love Tonight". I felt like I needed to close my eyes during that song.

I'm with you, I'm trying to figure out where else they play that song too. It is very familiar. I'm thinking Tarzan? Did they play it at the Tarzan show?? That is what is popping into my head.

Hmm, I don't know. Maybe. I've never seen the Festival of the Lion King. We've attempted twice. So, it's not that unless they play it at the beginning. Maybe Tarzan. For some reason, it made me think it's at the end of something and that I'm walking out of someplace. It's driving me nuts.

I think that if you listen close, the music of "He Lives in You" is in the Hans Zimmer score to the original movie. I THINK....

I've also seen Lion King onstage and have to admit, I much prefer Festival of the Lion King!!! Makes me tear up every time when they sing "Can You Feel" and the blue lady bird spins around and around! Every time I think to myself "She's gonna hit the speakers!!!"
