What’s for Dinner Tonight?

Tonight was one of my favorite dinners: I bought DH an Ooni pizza oven a few years ago for Christmas and once or twice a year we do family pizza night. We all have roles:

DS-27 is in charge of maintaining the fire
DH puts the pizzas in and out of the oven and brings them back and forth from the kitchen.
I roll the dough, spread the sauce and add the cheese
DS-29 designs each pizza by using a variety of toppings and condiments. He even gives each one a fancy name.

It's such a fun family tradition and the pizza comes out great!

Today was Sunday funday! We had about 10 friends over. The guys watched football and the ladies hung on the patio. We had so much food! Charcuterie board, buffalo chicken dip, Cesar cups, bruschetta, wings, pizza, kielbasa, rice krispy treats, peanut butter cookies, apples and caramel, and pudding shots.

Broke out the slushie machine for its first run. Super easy to use. My only complaint was I wish it was larger!

tired from cleaning out the garage and putting up the big Skelly so we Door Dashed from a local restaurant:

Beef Kalbi Short Ribs.... Lo Mein.... Dumplings.... Scallion Pancakes... and Sesame Chicken

We watched football so we had a charcuterie board, wings, stuffed knots and I made a batch of gumbo later for dinner.

We went to my sister in Law's house for dinner. Her DH and step son (22) and friend, (both on the Spectrum) are in Disney, jealous!! She is a great cook. She made a grilled pork loin, roasted seasoned tiny potatoes, broccoli and butternut squash and a great homemade apple crisp (homemade whipped cream) for dessert. We contributed the Heavy whipping cream, LOL.

Thank you all for the Anniversary and healing wishes for my poor thumb!

Yesterday was early dinner on the Lake Erie island (Kelley's Island, to be specific). The restaurant had a special - their lobster martinis

We had lunch today at our favorite Mexican restaurant in Glen, NH with our sons so tonight's dinner is just leftover pizza.

I have a colonoscopy (routine) tomorrow. DH is enjoying leftover lasagna. I’m having a gross drink and an ice pop.

I forgot to leave something out for dinner so I quickly defrosted some ground beef and made spaghetti and meatballs. Found some leftover garlic knots in the freezer and popped those in the oven too. DH has been doing all the cooking all summer long and I got out of the habit of planning. I’ve just been running out the door for work and remembering I have nothing ready for dinner until I’m on my way home! I’ll have to step it up!

I was starving after not eating since Sunday so we stopped for breakfast at Shady Glen on the way home. It is one of my favorite restaurants. Their griddled cheese
