Reservations for Epcot Candlelight Processional Dining Packages begin 10/14

I have an update. Went to our Chefs de France candlelight processional package and we were given the option of the standard candlelight processional prixe fixe of any entree and any dessert OR their standard prixe fixe of any appetizer, limited choice of entree and any dessert. I was pleasantly surprised with that option and we all took it because we wanted appetizer. So downside it limitation on entree. This worked at chefs de France because they gave a standard prixe fixe. Would not necessarily translate with all restaurants.

Thanks for the update! We have a CdF in exactly two weeks Glad to know this will be an option.

I have a 12/18 CP dining package reservation (Gary Sinise) I will not be using (click here for details). The dining reservations thread where it is posted does not seem to get the same traffic it once did, but I wanted to give DISers an opportunity to coordinate with me before I cancel it.

Reporting live from the dining package line! Got in line around 3:10 because don’t have anything better to do. Maybe a dozen people in front of us, half are in ECVs. Sprinkling a bit which was not in the forecast. Taking turns relieving each other in line. Now 3:30 and only a few people came after us. I like to sit as close as possible which is the only reason we are here so early!

Passed by at 2:30 and maybe a few people in line. Now at 4:00, standby appears to go to at least Italy. Dining package to the Japan festival booth.

4:30 non-transferring people in mobility devices went in first. 4:33, regular line going in! Maybe 20 people in front of us. We were able to get front row left, only one person from aisle!



It didn’t rain but the sprinkles may have deterred some people from lining up.

I’ll be there Saturday and rain is in the forecast. I also like to be close so with a non transferring ECV need, I will line up early in the DP line. Already got my ponchos and umbrella ready!

Good news, for people booked for 3 people, but only 2 people dining. We were booked at Biergarten. Ten minutes before our reservation, I did the online check-in, where I indicated only 2 people were in our party. When we physically arrived, they knew only 2 people were coming. No problem! We were only charged for 2 people, no questions asked!

For those doing same day walkup tickets, here’s how the process worked today (which was different/better than what I’ve experienced in the past). We got to Regal Eagle around 10:45am. A cast member was outside and knew how many tickets were available to each show. She then allocated the number of tickets you wanted before having you stand in line. So, you knew before waiting if you would get tickets or not, but then you did need to wait in line.

We then were let into the restaurant at 11:15 and could sit down. They handed out menus to prepare to order. I’m writing this in realtime, but they’re telling us we’ll order soon and get our food at 11:45 when it officially opens.

Overall, very organized and efficient!

Wow that seems way too organized to be Disney.

For real, when I did it a couple years ago, they were all secretive and watching us and counting but not interacting with us at all. We had no idea if we’d get tickets or not!

Did the dining package at Coral Reef today. Had one less person than the reservation and that was absolutely no problem. Could pick any drink, entree, and dessert. There was no stated dollar limit on the drink (there was last year at Tutto Italia). It was honestly pretty far down on my wish list of places to go but the food was solid, our server nice, and we really enjoyed both the meal and the processional. Seemed like they let the first show dining package holders in even earlier than 4:30 today - we basically just walked right in and found a seat at ~4:35. It looked like a lot of the standby line got into the show and I had a dining alert set and saw a lot of options becoming available in the morning so if you didn't get at all or didn't get exactly what you want, there's hope.

We did the same thing at Via Napoli last Sunday. Went from three to two people at the podium - no problem at all. I worried about it beforehand, so hopefully these reports give other folks peace of mind.
