I've been over on MOUSE MANAGER looking at restaurant menues.

We've got a tad over two months till ADR booking window opens (about 3/6/09). Hopefully the new reservations system will be up and running...think that's supposed to start testing mid-January.

So, I know on the DDP that Spoodles is a premium (2 TS credits) for dinner...BUT WHAt ABOUT BREAKFAST??? Anyone.....Bueller? :confused3

.

Jackie... I thought Spoodles was only 1 credit??? Flying Fish is 2... at least it was this year...

Well, not exactly Marilyn....I only wish....yesterday we found out about my car and I was very upset. Today we found out about John's truck and now he is very very upset. He got in his truck today and had to use the plow to stop it. It seems that there is no brake fluid. The kid (yes, Nan I call him that for a good reason and this is why....Wilson would know better!!!)....the kid said they were normal when he first started driving the truck yesterday then they got squishy. John asked when the brake light came on and the kid said, what brake light.....I didn't see anything. GET A CLUE and get with the program kid. Not him. He has no idea. Not even the brakes all of a sudden going soft and not even the brake light coming on gave him any idication that maybe there's a problem. John got into his truck today and was furious to find NO BRAKES on a mountain in the snow. No warning from his son who was in the truck all day yesterday.....along with my car. We found out that the reason the fender is broken up on my car is because he used the truck to pull it out of the ditch and didn't hitch it up properly.....something about tieing it off to the radiator???? We're already down one vehicle right now. The kid's car bit the dust last week. So we're looking to replace it. In the meantime the only two vehicles we currently have, my car and John's truck, the kid killed both of them in one day. We don't like to leave him alone alot. He's not responsible. He can't be trusted to make good judgements. He doesn't even have a clue when he's screwing up. He makes a bad situation worse. Like I said, I would have trusted Wilson to know better.

Sorry for the rant.....I just needed to vent. Merry Christmas to us from the kid. He's expensive. He's always very expensive to keep around. I worried when we left town and it snowed and he was in charge. I was justified. He proved me right, very unfortunately. He's 36 years old. He's still the kid. Today, he's the flipping kid!

Ok... I thought the kid was more like 21 or something... no excuses... tell him to pony up... and lock him in a closet or something next time you go away...

So how did Tom do???

That sucks Deb. Since "the kid" has "the job" he can help pay for "the repairs" right???

We have had reason to be worried about our cars when we travel too at times. We have gotten to the point that we hide our keys. Fortuanately all the boys in my family (some of who we worry about) will be travelling with us, so that takes it off my mind for this trip

I left my car once with my brother (actually I left it in his parking lot... ) and I came back to over 350 miles put on it... I asked him where he went... "oh....just around town"... I found out later he took it to see a friend in DE and left me with 1/4 of a tank of gas... :headache:

But God forbid I touch HIS car... :sad2:

Right Nan! Sometimes they never grow up. It's not a matter of age. Wilson at 8 would be more responsible than the kid at 36. It's sad because we know that if he has not gotten it by now, then he never will. He'll never be able to live on his own. Otherwise why is he still with us??? He's just not capable of taking care of himself. But his IQ is off the charts.....go figure.

Deb... that sometimes happens to very smart people... they test high but can't tie their shoelaces... I used to work with someone like that.

Jackie... I thought Spoodles was only 1 credit??? Flying Fish is 2... at least it was this year...

You are so right! I don't know why I thought it was on the premium list. Still waiting to see if a mess of the Epcot and DTD restaurants 'sign on' for 2009. Also Yak & Yeti isn't on the list yet. Gotta remember to have plenty of cash for tips this time too.

All this menu viewing is making me a tad hungry. Think it's time to hunt down some food. ohhhhhhhhh....I have a BistroMD black bean soup in the freezer....might do that with a piece of leftover chicken....yum

I won't mention that the sun is shining and it's 64 degrees. Think I'll go for a stroll after lunch!

You rant away - sounds like you really need to.

Think I'll ever get out???

Wow Michelle. Can't remember when we had snow like that.

I am SO not into decorating this tree... :sad2: :sad2: :sad2:

I have just done ours today. Seemed more like a chore than a lovely Christmassy pleasure. I can understand you feeling flat about things( ), but not me!!:confused3

Marilyn... there's a 6 foot green thing sitting in my living room...it's been there for 2 days... I'm thinking of getting rid of it right after New Years... and it's shedding little green thingies...

I think I'm supposed to put on lights... and some round thingies... and throw tinsel at it...

This is SO not happening...

Oh my gosh Deb, I'd be furious! I agree with Nan, he should have to help pay for the repairs. Sorry you had to come home to this. :headache:

Michelle, that's exactly the same scene here, so now I don't have to post photos! I was thinking about it, but Tyler went inside before I had a chance.

Have a glass of something and just get on with it!!;)

I think I would move him somewhere further afield!!

I tried to take pictures outside, but didn't get my camera out quick enough. The snow is almost up to Tyler's behind. And somehow this didn't surprise me, but he managed to find a use for my broken shovel. He was using the handle to break up the hard chunks thrown by the snowplow, then he was on his knees, pushing the shovel part like a snowplow (in fact, he was pretending to be a snowplow). ;)

After about 15 minutes, he gave up and went inside. Neither of us has ever heard the wind roar like this and if it freaked me out, I'm sure he was quite alarmed too. It sounds like what they say a tornado sounds like. Unbelievable! It's so loud, we had to shout to hear each other. Watching the snow blow and swirl through the air looked like a sandstorm, according to Tyler. I've never seen anything like this. If this continues, there will definitely be a snow day tomorrow.

So after Tyler went in, he poked his head out the door a bit later to yell at me, asking if we could have snowman soup when I got done. :goodvibes I stopped, only 1/2 way done, needing a break, and we had our snowman soup while I fixed a very late lunch. Then when I gave him his lunch, I told him I was going to go finish the driveway while he ate. I came inside to find his lunch all gone and him asleep on the couch! So I'm going to follow his lead and take a nap myself! We seem to do this every Sunday, and it's so nice! ;)

It's 2:15pm and I'm still in my pajamas! :lmao: I'll take a shower after my nap and maybe Tyler and I will venture out somewhere, just to get out of the house. I sort of want to make sure my car will start. I don't want to let it sit more than a day in these temps.

Marilyn... I just had a cup of tea and rye toast...

Now I'm going to take a nap...

Thanks for the thought... I need a teddy bear right about now...

We were going to attend the Blue Mass this evening... it's for those who want to celebrate the religious aspect of the season but who are feeling down or sad or mourning a loved one... But since I don't think the roads will be any clearer... we've decided to stay home...

That sounds really nice for those who just aren't up for the cheer. Even if you don't get out tonight you can have your own little talk with God and tell him how you are feeling. I usually feel better after those talks

I'm so glad no tree for us this year. The living room is a mess of suitcases and my bedroom it piled high with clothes.

I've got a mirgraine coming on and I have to go out for a wax and pedicure in an hour. I hate the getting ready for a trip...

Michelle: Stay warm and cozy.

Nan: I hope your migraine doesn't last long.

I was lucky enough to get an hour nap! Right after we woke up, we've been working on a Lego Coast Guard ship and tower and other accessories that came with it. Tyler got it at his dad's family Christmas yesterday. His dad was trying not to laugh because Tyler wanted it put together right away, so he wanted to bring it to our house. I tried to convince him he should wait until his dad could help him put it together, no such luck. His dad chucked and said, "Have fun!" as he left. :rotfl2: So we're slowly working through 774 pieces. :scared1: I'm taking a break to check the weather report and will probably eat my late lunch. Well, I should just have a snack and wait until supper since it's almost supper time. :goodvibes

We haven't ventured back outside yet, the wind is WORSE. But at least it hasn't started snowing again.

Deb & John - So sorry. I'm surprised all you're doing is venting! I'd be livid.
