TGIF Friends :cool1:

#1 - LIGHT UP BALL - I bought some balls that light up for the dog and they are awesome now that it’s getting dark out earlier

#2 - BOWLS - I’ll be putting my cereal in one soon.

#3 - THE LETTER O - It’s the first letter in both my maiden name and married name

Round Foods

Tortillas - The humble tortilla can become so many things...from tacos, burritos, quesadillas, and chips (for dipping or nachos) to the foundation of a wrap or the base to a salad.

Cookies - I follow Sesame Street and periodically get reels in my feed of both new and classic skits. Naturally, C is for Cookie came to mind. This song will now be stuck in my head for the remainder of the day!

Egg Yolks - I eat a lot of eggs and while I try to make them stretch (from a calorie consumption and protein goal angle) by adding extra egg whites, I love the yolks. I love runny yolks in poached or sunny side up eggs, I love yolks in how they flavor egg salad, I love yolks in deviled eggs, and I also love what they can do for sauces like hollandaise. While the fattier part of an egg, they are rich in nutrients.

1. My mom's homemade nut bread. A scratch recipe that she baked in small coffee cans. Delicious! I miss those.
2. Pumpkin roll. My mom made this from scratch only on special occasions. So good!
3. Cookies. My mom always had cookies in the cookie jar, usually chocolate chip and always from scratch.
We were a family of 6, poor, and my mom always cooked from scratch. There was always dessert and bread in the house. She worked all day and spent her evenings cooking and baking everything from scratch. That must have been exhausting!!!!

Today's Topic (Sat, 9/6) - 3 books you're grateful for

(If you need more of a challenge, do 3 fiction and 3 non-fiction, or 3 classic and 3 modern, or 3 books you were forced to read to read in school that you surprisingly liked.)

Afternoon all!

This is a rather difficult one, I've read far too many books.

1. Needful Things by Stephen King - this is one of the first Stephen King books I read when I was probably a little too young to be reading them, but this story always stuck with me. I read it so many times and i think it really got me into reading King in general.

2. The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern - this is a book that really captivated me and is always one i remember being so magical.

3. Winterset Hollow by Jonathan Edward Durham - i love a good horror book and this one really shocked me at how unexpectedly good it was. One of the few books that I'd love to see a film version (if done well).
