How to eat on a budget when staying at Signia Hilton Bonnet Creek

I'm tagging along with DH who has a conference at Signia by Hilton at Bonnet Creek. The resort looks beautiful, so I'm sure I'll have no problem spending my days at the pool and lazy river I would like to eat on a budget though as this was a totally unplanned trip and we've already taken a few vacations this year, so I have no vaca budget left! The restaurants at the resorts are a bit more expensive than I'd like and I saw it costs $40 a day to self park at the resort, so we likely won't get a rental car.

Am I understanding correctly that you really can't walk anywhere from the Bonnet Creek area? I know it's not far from Disney Springs, but I guess what doesn't look far on a map is still not walkable because of the highways.

Soooo, any suggestions? I'm thinking I can probably grab a few things at a grocery store to keep in the fridge for breakfast, but lunches and dinners are where I'm struggling.

An uber to DS probably won’t be too bad & you could get take out from a few different places to bring back to the resort. Will you have access to a microwave & small fridge?

Can not walk anywhere outside of Bonnet Creek. Not allowed. Within Bonnet Creek area there are sidewalks where you can walk over to the Bonnet Creek Resort or Grand Hotel. They have a few quick serve spots that might be more reasonable. It is a nice lake in the middle to walk the loop of the resort.

Your Hilton resort fee includes a shuttle (on Coach) to the parks and Disney Springs. And from Disney Springs you could take bus to any resort to check them out, enjoy their quick service. At Disney Springs quick serve and at resorts quick serve you can order kids meals. We do it all the time, very filling. Cruise the menus and see which have good options.
