Bertha (that hurricane that was CAT 3 but did nothi land) has caused the wave to be 8 feet and the rip tide to be HUGE!! The kids have had a lot of fun!!

Lisa, I keep having to read things twice, Cat 3 caught my eye...who is Bertha and how did she get so lucky to have a Cat 3 cabin....oh, wait a minute, she's a storm

I've only had my grandaughter in my house for a week and a half and I swear I am ten years younger:) ;) I've been crawling around hoping she'll copy me  Actually, she has started to get up on her knees and rock and is pulling/dragging herself all over the place the last couple of days, she did not do this before moving in, although she was rolling wherever she wanted to go! And she sat up by herself in her crib for the first time yesterday...I think I'm a good influence on her :wizard:

I picture you doing this :cool1:

Got any current photos of Serenity?

Lots on my camera. I'll try to find time to get her mom to help me upload so I can post a few in a few days. I'm off to bed now, early to work for the next few days :headache: I'm having minor surgery on my left wrist in a couple of weeks (had the right one done last summer) so I'll be off work for about 4 weeks :cool1: Should have more time to post then :thumbsup2 Goodnight all.

Best wishes at finding a new place for your Mom. Do they have any Senior Communities with nursing home, assisted living and independent living in one campus or building? We have some and people can have whatever level of care they need.

Home redecoration sounds great! Glad Patrick likes his colors! :scared1: I am such an 80's girl--all off white walls and I am happy.

Jan :earsgirl:

I used to have all off white walls, and some wallpaper when we lived in Illinois,:hippie:, back when I was an earth mother, but gradually since we have moved to Florida we have gone to more colors.......AND totally Disney decorations!:tigger:pooh:

But going to the Food and Wine festival a couple of years ago we bought a print with all these great colros in it, and we pulled all the great colors from it.....greens and golds and reds and oranges.....It's fun!

We don't seem to have the type of places you describe for my mom to live in right now. She needs her independence. We have a really nice beautiful assisted liiving faciltiy here in Hunter's Creek, but I don't think she's ready for that yet. She wants to live on her own for a few more years.

:flower3:Tomorrow is her 79th birthday! Whoopeee! I am giving her a massage and a sound machine for her special day. :butterfly

::yes:: so do I :thumbsup2

You are probably a good influence on her mother too. She may have no idea how to play with a baby and as you do what comes naturally, she sees it and will be better able to do it too.

Connie, Happy Birthday to your mom tomorrow! What great gifts you're giving her. :goodvibes

I'll feel better after a couple of weeks away. It doesn't help that dh keeps saying how happy the dog was thinking he was coming home.

I've been "off the disboards" for a few days, where are you going on vacation? I'm sorrry about your dog, we had to go through that a few years ago.

I'm glad you're getting away for a while! Connie

:scared1: I forgot to EAT!

:upsidedow is that actually POSSIBLE?:confused3

GOOD NEWS ABOUT FRANK!! Thanks for keeping us posted!

:scared1: RIP TIDE:scared: They are playing in the rip tide????

I hope they are all OK.

Jan :earsgirl:

Yeah, they keep saying STAY OUT OF THE WATER on our news! They are always saying how many people the lifeguards are saving every day.

I hope you can find her something appropriate. My friends who are in the full range of care facilities have freedom and independence. One lives in a little house but has no responsibility for the yard work. The other couple has an apartment in a big building. Meals are available but each unit has its own kitchen also. The one they are in is called "Westminster Village North" and is run by "Presbyterian Homes". Maybe an internet search?

You could start your search at the Hunter's Creek facility and see what they know.

Best wishes,
Jan :earsgirl:

I NEVER forget to EAT! I might forget other things, oh, maybe I should foget to eat.....that would work!

But what would your stomach have to say about it? :rotfl:

Mine would start a revolt. ::yes::

Getting sleepy now after filling my belly with soup, so I'm off to read in bed until I fall asleep. Tyler's book is done and ordered. Tomorrow I'm going to try to remember to hang his dolphin encounter pictures in his bedroom before I pick him up. He'll LOVE that! :thumbsup2

Goodnight everybody!
