Well, it's raining today and supposed to do so all day, so I guess I won't be mowing the back yard today. My mom would say, "Oh, you won't melt, just get it done." ;) But it's no fun trying to push a mower through wet stuff, so I say she's nuts. :thumbsup2 I'm going to take advantage of the wet, dreary day and just lay around reading and watching tv and napping. :goodvibes

My Dad always told us that it hurts the grass to cut it in the rain. It does not cut well or straight.

So, use this (as Deborah and Marilyn call it) DULL day to have indoor activities.

Stilll have about 8 pages to catch up on, but wanted to report in.

I did go get checked out yesterday, and we did spinal x-ray and will do an abdonimal ultrasound on Tuesday. My biggest bruise (a lovely shade of purple today--matches my nightgown) is on my side just above the waist, so we want to make sure the kidney and related area is all OK. I was warned that tomorrow will be the day I'm the most sore, so I'm getting the rental car and everything else taken care of today...so maybe I'll just spend tomorrow floating in the pool! I stayed overnight at Peg's again last night, and she's taking VERY good care of me.

Thanks for all the hugs and well wishes. You guys are the best!

.

So glad to hear you are taking care of yourself and that Peg is helping. WHAT A SIS!!princess:

Floating in the pool sounds therapeutic!::yes::

I sent out emails this week to let the users of Mouse Manager know about the podcast I was on.

I sent out over 700 emails (I have a desktop program that does it, it took 3 days).

I suddenly have had a FLOOD of new users registering. I couldn't figure out why. It was because I made the front page news of dvcnews.com

I must have received about 30 or 40 new users in the past 2 days.
Wow, that's great!

Glad you're alright. Both Sukie and I are much relieved to hear that.

We have one question, what is the fashionable side for people to be wearing their bruises this season? We'd hate to commit a faux pas.
:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

What did he think of the Dolphin pictures in his room?

He's not home yet. I pick him up at 5.

Is there any way we could see what the book looks like on line?

Jan :earsgirl:
I don't think there's a way to do that because if I put a link on here it would give access to my WHOLE Kodak account.

Hi Everybody

Good Morning

After had a bad night at work:mad: I was so frustrated with one staff and I lose my temper at her. She reported to manager and line manager tooked me upstair. I explained him why I was very upset. Fed up with her for LAZY and give me too much work to do. He realised and he think that I have lack of communication:mad:

I came home and had a glass of wine. Feel good to get out of my chest!! have a nice day (ps weather look very dull now, think go to be heavy rain soon:sad2: )

Scottishwee35

I also had a TERRIBLE day at work on Thursday. The woman I work with has a reputation for being difficult, and she is sure living up to it!

I arrived at 10am ( an hour early) because our manager thought I would be needed. Well, I got there and Miss Betty is trying to juggle 6 balls in the air, and dropping half of them, but she won't let me help. She had the phone going, she had guests, she had luggage people, she had the list for the departure on Thursday....and she insisted on doing it all!

I stood around for an hour, and then I got the departure organized, she was helping a guest and I said I would go do the departure...we only had 40 people, I could easily do it myself.

Well, she about had apoplexy! :scared1: She snapped, You did the departure last Sunday, I'LL do it today! But since she was so busy, I left anyway. about 10 minutes later she comes huffing up to actually TAKE OVER THE DEPARTURE! AMAZING! THE gall of this woman! Then later on she lectured me for butting in on HER guests! Like she owns them! :lmao: :lmao:

HONESTLY! I could have screamed! But I didn't I counted to 20 and then I told her when we started using the computers we would have to start working together, since one person would do the computer and the other person would deal with the other stuff.......she won't liike THAT!!!! After she left, the photopass girl came over and gave me a big hug and said how glad she went home, I guess she was on a tear before I even got there and shouted at somebody! oh, my! :rolleyes1

I'll be working with her tomorrow, too. I just have to be patient with her, but I still need to stand up for myself at the same time!

oh, and we are having a DULL day today, too rainstorms all day and clouds when it's not acually raining. drip drip drip drip!

Not caught up from last night yet, but wanted to fill you all in on my latest adventure.

I was in a car accident last night on the way home from work. Got hit by a red light running, DUI, hit and run dude. Rolled my car and I got up and walked away from the accident! SOMEONE was watching out for me, that's for sure. REMEMBER TO WEAR YOUR SEAT BELTS! The police did get the guy...he fled the car on foot but, I believe, walked back (I'm thinking in his state he panicked, then realized what he was doing.) I just have one bruise on my right hip area...from my seat buckle I think. Either that or my PassPorter flew around and hit me there.

I'm expecting I'll be pretty stiff tomorrow, that's for sure. Funny thing...my right hip and leg that had been bothering me all week....feels fine. I must have gotten a chiropractic adjustment in the tumble! :lmao:

The police woman who was with me through the whole process said I was so lucky that she wanted to go in a lottery ticket with me.

.....see, I just knew I should have stayed on the DIS a little bit longer yesterday evening......

OK, back to catch up .......

Jackie, so glad to hear that you are doing okay and that you went to the doctor. Better to be safe than sorry. Take it easy for a few days, the reality of what actually happened may not have set in just yet.

Ian,

I haven't had a chance to listen to your interview yet but Doug has and he says that it was very good.

Sorry I haven't been on for a while. I was on my back for three days starting the 4th and finally was able to move without quite so much pain on Monday. Did something stupid on Wednesday and aggravated my sciatic nerve and then tried to do some exercises on Thursday which just managed to put me down.

Spent the week trying to get caught up here (thank goodness the weekend slowed down) and getting some yard work done that we have been putting off.

Having company on the 24th who have never seen the house (Jan, Denise and Steve are coming for a short visit) and that can motivate you to do a lot of things.

Ian, sorry Doug and I won't be there for your wedding but we are going out in October to visit the kids in San Diego for a week. I have made reservations for two nights at the Grand Californian since the last time we were there they mentioned they would like to stay there. We will be Trick or Treating at CA on Tuesday. I can't wait to take the grandkids. A question for those near DL; what are the temps like there the last part of October?

Ken, got your Mii. Haven't gotten a chance to send you a message yet but will soon.

Carol

::yes:: I bet it is. Lack of sleep might be a contributing factor to the migraines, right?

SO GLAD YOU WENT TO THAT SPECIAL CLINIC!

Around here we have had some advertisements for $4 perscriptions at Walmart and some of the Grocery store pharmacies. I wonder if that could be going on in your area too and if your medications would qualify.

You have Krogers in your area and this is the web ad: http://www.kroger.com/generic/Pages/index.html

Walmart $4 Rx: http://www.walmart.com/catalog/catalog.gsp?cat=546834

Jan :earsgirl:
I doubt lack of sleep was an issue for my migraines because I've had them since I was a kid, and I ususually sleep well. I just think the new med (the Pamelor/nortriptyline) is making me sleepy because I'm adjusting. Plus, that could be why it's supposed to be taken at bedtime.

Thanks for the links, I checked them both. Walmart doesn't have the dosage of the nortriptyline I use - they offer 10mg and I do 25mg now but will soon bump to 50, so I'd had to have to swallow 5 per day.

Kroger does have the 25mg, and since I pay $5/monthly rx for that one, if I do their $10/90-day supply, that would save me $5 every 3 months.

The other one, the Relpax, I don't think that's been around long enough to have a generic. There's something about when a new drug comes out, the manufacturer has exclusive rights for a certain number of years so no generics will come out for that amount of time, however long that is. I think 10 years.

Jan :earsgirl:
Well, you know what happened? Shortly after I posted that, the sun came out! ;) But I was already in the mindset of just lounging today, so it can wait until tomorrow either before church or when we get home from going out of town to visit my dad.

Connie, hugs to you for putting up with somebody like that. Good grief, what an angry person she is!

Carol, I hope you're back up and running soon.

Well, if things stay sunny around here, enough to dry things up, I suppose I could do my backyard tonight after Tyler goes to bed. I haven't checked the bee/wasp/stingy critters situation back there, so I'd hate to have him play back there while I mow in case I stir up trouble again.

Well, I'm off to jump in a quick shower and head off to pick up Tyler. Will check back here tonight after he's in bed. :goodvibes

I don't think there's a way to do that because if I put a link on here it would give access to my WHOLE Kodak account.

 I understand. That's OK. Maybe some day I can see it in person. ::yes:: Maybe you can let us know what Tyler thinks of it when he gets it !!:yay:

You did a wonderful job with a difficult situation!! Way to go!!

Where at WDW do you work again?

Jan :earsgirl:

Hi Connie, sounds like you're having a busy summer! I'll be at WDW in Oct and am hoping to arrange a mini-meet , are you interested?
Kathe

Kathe...

When are you thinking of going in Oct?

Jackie,

Thank goodness you are OK. What an experience! So, glad you were wearing your seatbelt and were unharmed.

You are very precious cargo.

Ian... if she didn't go to the Dr.. YELL AT HER!!!   (I mean that in a good way Jackie...)

I have a question for all of you DL mavins out there. Do I need to rent a car or will it be a complete waste of money?

If you need to rent while you are there... I do believe there is a rental agency - not sure which one... over by the grand cal..

Why not send suggestions? If DCL tells the entertainer that he or she was requested by cruisers, it might encourage them to accept the offer.

Jan :earsgirl:

& just make sure we are ON the cruise!!! :rotfl:

if you plan on just doing the park stuff, no need...but....talk to kelly, I suspect it might be good to have a car....for other stuff...

Nan... what other stuff???? ;)

Ian...You don't have to yell... Jackie went to the Dr....

THANK GOD!!!

Jackie... do what's best for you!!! Take it easy and be well... :grouphug:

Glad you're alright. Both Sukie and I are much relieved to hear that.

We have one question, what is the fashionable side for people to be wearing their bruises this season? We'd hate to commit a faux pas.

You know a couple of years ago up at the lake I fell backwards off the Bingo table (the bench actually) and got a bruise straight across the right cheek that was in the shape of Manhattan and Staten Island... Of course, everyone came running when I tipped... (that was my mistake for playing at the Ambulance Corp table!!!) They all wanted to know if I was ok... I wanted them to call the next number... I was ONE away from winning!!!

I sent out emails this week to let the users of Mouse Manager know about the podcast I was on.

You're getting WAY more popular than Mr. De La Croix.... :cool2: I fear competition in that house... Did you sign Talullah and Truman up for that new pet reality show????

Happy Saturday everyone!

Jackie - so glad you got checked out, please let us know the results of the tests when you get them. Tell Peg thanks from us for taking care of you.

Ian - have to try to get to that podcast & listen to it...did check out MM news on dvcnews.com. WAY TO GO!

Kathe - LOVED the story about the time spent w/ Serenity. I can just see the 2 of you playing & bonding....lots of love    You are going to have a great relationship & even though she probably won't remember this time as she grows she will know that she can always depend on you.

Connie - do you work every Thurs, Sat & Sun??

Carol - take care of yourself too.....better yet, make DOUG take care of you :goodvibes (I know he is)

Gydell - I know you're on your way to MX but in case you read this - to you too....glad you got that checked out. Have fun & relax.
