DH and I both thought the other was "chasing rabbits in our sleep"....nope it was only an earthquake, shaking our bed like chef with a frying pan. (It's too early to make the Earth move, honey!) Thought we left those shakers back in California when we moved to the midwest 8 years ago!

I heard about that this morning. Must have been very wierd. I'm glad I've never had to experience one.

While we're wondering how long it will take to do something - would anyone like to make a bet? I'm sitting here looking at my suitcases from our trip. First, who would like to guess how long it will take DH to take them upstairs, and second, who would like to guess how long it will take me to unpack? Let's see, if we only wear the clothes that are in the suitcases, I give us about a week before the suitcases are empty! Problem solved!

Wait - but then, the clothes will be wrinkled and I'll have to iron them. I can't win. I might as well just go ahead and unpack.

The other day, when I thought I was going to DC, I was rummaging through my closet looking for something to wear. I came across a small suitcase and thought, what's that doing in there? I opened it up. Yep, THAT'S what happened to all my underwear!

Apparently, I just threw the suitcase in the closet and promptly forgot all about it.

I go shopping for a few hours and you guys plow through 4 pages?! Sheesh!

DS3 just brought me the iPod. My wanna listen to da monorail song. I still get a kick out of this. In case anyone has forgotten...he loves the song Sister Christian by Night Ranger. And he loves the monorail. So instead of the song saying "Motorin'" he thinks it says "Monorail." So now he's hollaring Moonoooraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaail!!

DS8 was looking over my shoulder and saw someone had an Obama thing in their signature. He tells me that they've been studying a little about the candidates. I asked him who he thought would win. He says John McCain. I asked him what he thought about Obama. He said, he stands wrong when he does the pledge of alligiance! I asked him what he thought of Hilary. He says, I just don't like her. Poor Hilary. Even 8 year old boys wouldn't vote for her.

DS8 is happy because he made honor roll again. Now I have to think of something to do as a special treat.

just because my kids are on honor roll, don't kick me out of the club guys..They do this all on on their own, I barely help with homework. They don't get if from me, and most days I dont' thing it's from DH...now the mailman is pretty smart....

He is all newf. His coloring is called, "Lanseer". After a guy who used to paint them long ago named "Landseer". He is my DH's dog, and I want to make that perfectly clear.

I am off the grocery store again-my second home. We are having fajitas with the left over steak from last night, and I need cilantro and more ice cream for DS8..Yes, I am a loser, spoiling mom, he gets ice cream every night he finishes his dinner. With chocolate syrup, sprinkles, whipped cream and TWO cherries. Go ahead, call CPS, I'll make one for them, too.

Just FYI, I have a hole in my ceiling from a Rocket Fishing Rod. Those things are dangerous. Oh, and it wasn't the kids who put the hole there. It was hubby. I told him not to. He just couldn't help himself. Too much temptation and too small a brain.

As far as honor rollers -- I don't help my kid too much either. He's really smart -- except he doesn't try to be smart. He never studies, yet somehow he still manages to do good on his tests. He only puts the minimum in, which makes me mad, but he still gets good grades, which makes me proud.

He's one of those kids that hates school. He can't stand it. If I ask him what happened at school today, he'll say, I scored twice at football and got an interception! Or I was the high scorer at basketball today!

So I'll rephrase my question and ask, What did you do in class today? Ah, I dunno, just some stupid stuff, like every other day.
