Ooh Kate, I love the pink shoes! But wear whichever ones you want.

Sorry your nap didn't work, Shore. At least you got a cuddle out of the deal though.

where are you going, sorry loser here, not catching up;)

So, you couldn't find your keys cause the car was running? I can TRY to compete with that...I was replying to an e-mail earlier and ended up somehow forwarding it to myself! :surfweb:

Black shoes, Kate! Cute dress!:thumbsup2

I think we are tied..thank you for making me feel better. we both need a drink..

If Kate is still here, the strappy black shoes!!

Yes, Kate, I vote black strappy,too...but I am fashionably challenged..Keep the pink ones, though..they are cute too. Maybe buy another outfit for them, too!

I tried to take a nap. Really, I did. Even the kids were cooperating. About two minutes into our snuggle, DS3 fell asleep.

The problem was...the couch. I looooooove my couch. But that's the problem. DS3 took all the cushions off the couch last night. I put them back on, but apparently, I put them on wrong.

Now I must have worn my body outline into the couch. And rearranging the couch cushions has disabled my outline. It seems like the last cushion (normally where my feet go) must have ended up in the center. So it's like the center cushion was higher than the 1st cushion and the 3rd cushion.

It just felt way weird. But I can't change it, because DS3 is sleeping on it. It was impossible for me to fall asleep on the couch with the hump in the middle.

I have my butt outline in the recliner. We have another, but it is leather, and I don't like the feel of it. The cloth one is more comfy, so we race to get to it. I always win, so it's got my imprint on it.

And then my MIL called. On the CELL PHONE!!

OH NO SHE DI' ENT!!

Anyhow, she was taking my workers into town to do their grocery shopping and get their checks cashed and stuff. She called me and says:

Um, yeah (in a snarky tone of voice), these girls (pause for dramatic effect here) want to leave with these boys.

I said, what am I, their babysitter? Let them go!!

They are twenty-something year old women. They have the weekend off. Does she really think I would (even if I could) stop them from having their fun?

Maybe she was mad because they didn't invite her..:confused3

where are you going, sorry loser here, not catching up;)

Wednesday was her 21st bday. So tonight is the real celebration! Well, she celebrated the other night, but for some reason I'm thinking tonight will be even more party-ish.

We're going on a pub crawl in the next town over. We being me and all my friends. Im the baby, and FINALLY 21 so we're making a big deal out of it. It has something crazy like the most bars in 1 square mile. Im not sure if thats on LI or what, but theres a bar about every 10 feet. And pizza open till 4 am. And no last call. I feel like a little kid waiting for their birthday party....this is me  :yay:  :woohoo:

Thank you so much guys! I love talking to you all.

Sorry about the nap shore. I hate not being able to take one...makes me cranky.

Turbo, I love the pink ones too! I just got them last weekend and wore them out, so I guess ill go with the black ones. Other wise the black ones will be sad that they stay in the closet, right?

do we have bail and cab money? ;)

we have a best friend that doesnt drink...and we know all the cops! All my guy friends are firemen in town, and my dads a NYC firefighter, and for some reason, me flashing that card gets me out of all sorts of trouble.

DS8 is happy because he made honor roll again. Now I have to think of something to do as a special treat.

I got a couple of honor rollers this time, too! They want Rocket Fishing poles or whatever instead of cash..

just because my kids are on honor roll, don't kick me out of the club guys..They do this all on on their own, I barely help with homework. They don't get if from me, and most days I dont' thing it's from DH...now the mailman is pretty smart....:rolleyes1

:cheer2: :cheer2: yea to all the other kids that made honor roll too & to the fellow loser moms :cheer2: :cheer2:

-Kate have fun tonight :cool1:

Just finished dinner (steaks & rice a roni) and had cherry turnovers for dessert. now all of us are vegging in the living room watching Ben10 & on computers.

Maybe she was mad because they didn't invite her..:confused3

No, she's just a drama queen. Every little thing is a huge disaster. It's a crisis! OMG, what am I supposed to do?!?!?!?!?!

It comes from her past life. She used to be a very brazen, overbearing person. This is because she had a very well liked husband who had more money than nearly everyone around them (she was :snooty: ). So everyone wanted to dress like them, everyone wanted to be like them, and she reveled in the attention.

Then her husband died, she pissed away all the money, and since no one really liked her anyway, they just stopped paying attention to her. She was big to start with, but she's put on a ton of weight, lost all her teeth, and she has a bad dye job.

Sooooooooo she just called me AGAIN. Do you know these girls were in the grocery store for over an hour. And then they put their stuff in the van and went over to a car full of boys and made the rest of us wait for them???

I told her next time it happens, start the van, pull up to where they are, blow the horn, wave, and say "Bye." They'll get the hint that you're ready to leave.

Is is wrong for me to feel sorry for her..a little?:confused3 Of course, I feel sorry for YOU, too, having to deal with her on a daily basis...What does DH do/say about her?

Have fun. I love the dress and the shoes. I also think the black shoes look better.

Is is wrong for me to feel sorry for her..a little?:confused3 Of course, I feel sorry for YOU, too, having to deal with her on a daily basis...What does DH do/say about her?

DH says, I really don't care and I don't wanna hear about this (insert bad word for poo here). He doesn't take her crap. He told her yesterday that she was paying the $235 for the cell phone bill. Period.

I feel bad for her at times too, but she's done this to herself. She stopped getting her widows pension last month because her youngest turned 16. He still gets a SS check, but hers stopped. So she went in to the SS office to see if she could do anything about it. She couldn't.

Anyway, she tells me "I knew I should have signed up for disability! At least then I'd still be able to get my check."

I gave her a funny look. "Are you disabled?"

"No. But so what?"

That's the kind of entitlement attitude she has. It makes her very difficult to deal with.

She had no money to buy her sons Christmas presents -- we bought them. But yet, she used her income tax refund to go to WDW. And when fall comes, we'll be buying his school clothes and school supplies, because she'll be broke.

She has no car, so I let her borrow mine. She brings it back with the low fuel light on.

It's hard to feel sorry for someone that's constantly taking advantage of you in one way or another.

Shore I think in many ways your MIL is like Wardens mother. If you have not noticed I never call her my MIL (yuck):rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Yay for him!

I wouldn't feel sorry for her if I was the brunt of all her crap. But I guess what I meant was that she was pitiful...I'm glad you guys are trying to help out with her son, it's not his fault his mom is like that. Is he a good kid? How much older is your DH?

Shore I think in many ways your MIL is like Wardens mother. If you have not noticed I never call her my MIL (yuck):rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Kellie, do you get the weekend off from treatments? do you start to feel better after a day, or does it hang with you until the next treatment?

I am such a freakin' loser I think I'm going to go to sleep the second the boy falls asleep.

And it's not just the things she does, it's how she does it.

For example, the girls taking too long in the grocery store. She doesn't just tell me that. When she first called she said, I'm leaving town, will you be awake when I get home?

Uh, yeah, I tell her.

She says, Because I'm going to ride down to your house, there's something I need to talk to you about.

About what? I ask

These girls, she says. That's when she actually tells me that she had to wait for them.

And the car thing -- I wouldn't care if she said, I didn't have the money to put gas in the car, but I'll give you a little something on pay day. Nope, she just brings it back, never says a word about me needing gas. And this isn't a one time thing. She has no car, so she's constantly using mine.

Oh, and another thing that happened with the car. Hubby drove down to LA last winter, taking my Expedition. Well, my car was in her driveway, because she had borrowed it. I told her to make sure that she brought me my car because I wasn't going to sit at home with two kids for a week while hubby was gone. Did she ever bring me my car? No. I had to use the crab truck to putter around in.
