They make us start a new thread every 250 pages so we just leave the mess, relocate, and buy new. No sense in picking up the old broken stuff anyway :confused3 We try to leave directions to the new place so we don't lose anyone though :thumbsup2

Was reading a little on the old thread and saw mdrob asking about vans. We bought a 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan Special Edition 2 months ago and we LOVE it!! It rides so smoothly and I think we got a good deal on it. It came in off of a lease. It's pretty ginormous compared to the Cavalier I've driven for over 11 years, but I still like it. Plus it's much easier to park and drive than DH's truck.

I have a carvan but am so leary to get another (ours was basically good, though. 10.5 years before the transmission crapped out) due to their past history, esp. with transmissions. They also have the best deals right now and are a few thousand cheaper than toyota/honda. Our mechanic suggested GM, but they only make one van and I don't care for it. GM also gets poor reviews on Consumer Reports. Oh, my head hurts because I really don't want to do this.

DH is on his way home so I must go shower. Have fun in the new digs today. Don't trash it before I get back!

Ahhh I am home again. Feels good,

Ok I need eveyone to send good thoughts and prayers this morning. Mr Anxiety (aka DS5) is going to see his K room for next year. They are doing a 45 minute orientation with the kid by themselves. (all mommies stay upstairs). He has gotten much better about accepting the fact that K is next year, I think the preschool teachers have been pumping it up. But DS5 is never known for jumping into new and embracing it right away so just pray that he goes with the group today and cooperates.

Thanks.

:thumbsup2 good luck to Mr. Anxiety, and Mom!

Why in the name of all things holy are the twosome fighting over who gets to sit on one of the couches? There are two couches & they are both cleaned off so they can each have their own couch, but NO they both want the same one
FE needs to hurry up and get home cause they are already driving me nuts.

Update: he's 15 minutes away

Oooooh! A nice clean place! Great! Now I will have some place to set my washed but not folded laundry today!

Nice place y'all. Very clean. Wait'll my kids get home from school, it will be back to "normal" in a jiffy. Slobbermouth is on standby. Did anyone remember to bring Hissa?

I have to go look for something in the attic today. If I don't come back, send out a search party. My purging of "stuff" that I started 2 months ago came to a grinding halt and now for some reason there is more stuff than before. seriously you could lose a small child in there for weeks. Come to think of it, did I have DS8 with me when we went to school this morning?

I guess I'll look for him in there, too while I'm at it..The things I do to be a good mother...:rolleyes1

Ok we are back and Mr Anxiety survived:woohoo: They gave the kids soft pretzels which he thought was way cool. He told the teacher "he has tears in his eyes bc he was nervous but he kept them in his eyes". She said he was so cute. Yeah will see if you are saying that in October:rotfl: They broke them up alphabetically so I didnt get to see all the kids who will be in his class so I could set up some playdates and such. Oh well I will figure it out.

So I should clean a little now bc later we have a bday party for DS5 from 3-5 about 30 minutes in one direction and then I have DS10 getting off the bus at a friends and then DH will pick him up get him changed for baseball and they have to be at the field by 5 bc DH has to ump, then I need to get there for later bc we are snack today too and the field is on the other side of town. ugh

I think I am going to collapse later.

Oh yeah DS5 woke up during the night with a bad dream so I am working on very little sleep. where is my Pepsi:scared1:

Has anyone seen my coffee mug? I thought I left it right here on the sink....

Yay Mr. Anxiety!! He was so brave!! :goodvibes

Depends...did you curse, try to fix the shoe with some gum, give up and go bare foot? You betcha!

I let the F-Bomb fly yesterday in the carpool lane. It wasn't loud, but the boys definitely heard it. The people coming out of the carpool loop are supposed to ONLY go right. It is a busy street, two ways, two directions of carpoolers coming in, it's just really stupid even if there isn't a HUGE sign with a PICTURE of a right turning arrow and the word ONLY written under it. I mean, the kindergarteners can read that sign for crying out loud. I was trying to make a left turn into the CP driveway, waiting for oncoming traffic to clear, and this woman is waiting to turn LEFT out of said CP driveway...and she is not going to wait for me to finish my turn! So, being the passive agressive B that I am, I edged up enough that she couldn't come out into the street. Then I pointed to her right and she looked at me and ignored me..That's when I said it, no she didn't see my lips move, but the boys heard it. "Oooooooooooomommy, you said the worst word!!!" So I had no idea how to recover from this other than to tell them how wrong I was, and I was very sorry they heard that..and NO they couldn't EVER EVER say that word.

Has anyone else ever said that word in front of your kids?

Would I be a loser if I didn't?

Well done Mr. Anxiety and Happy Birthday!!

Would I be a loser if I didn't?

What was your recovery strategy.?.I was gonna say I said another word, but I couldn't think of one fast enough that sounded similar. They are pretty good at swear words..wonder why?:rolleyes1

Oh, a new place! I had to come in here before it got too cluttered.

Anyone else tired from getting woken up to frikken early this morning?

DH and I both thought the other was "chasing rabbits in our sleep"....nope it was only an earthquake, shaking our bed like chef with a frying pan. (It's too early to make the Earth move, honey!) Thought we left those shakers back in California when we moved to the midwest 8 years ago!

Tink, are you wearing breakaway underpants? ;)

natalie, I love the moldings in the yellow room! (Those white things by the ceiling..not mildew/mold type stuff!)

LL, I am sorry about your daughter. Thank you for sharing a memory of her with us. :)

I am glad Mr. Anxiety survived this time.

My recovery is plain and simple this: "That is an adult word. You are allowed to say those words when you have children of your own."

We let a bad word slip every now and again. But, we never make a big deal out of them, so the kids don't really ever say them. And if they do, I just repeat the above phrase again. No time outs, no punishments, just hey - don't say that again.
