Got Lucky!!!!Nonstop BWI to MCO for $59 both ways! I was able to get through at about 10:40 am going through the "book travel" tab.
Now if only I could get a good rental car rate!!! LOL!
Good Luck to all!![]()

What dates did you get. I got $62.00 each way BUF-MCO as well but have to leave Wed the 10 and return Monday the 22. This is fine with me anyway as we like to go down there for a longer jaunt. But my kids will still miss 3 days of school. these flights are way less than opening day last year for the same time period.
Are you scheduling out of MacArthur? They have plenty of direct flights. What airport are you using?
What do you think? $2196 r/t for 5 tickets from Long Island to MCO. I have never flown SW before. All the other airlines are hight to, which is to be expected over President's Week. How likey is it that if I book it the prices will drop and I can get refunded the difference? Or should I give it a few days or so.
You guys are amazing! I wouldn't have even tried for our date since the main page still says it only books through Jan! I just go non stop for March 6th! (we already booked Airtran for our return flight). Yesterday I learned about the "kids sail free" on the Disney Cruise for our spring break, and now this! The Dis Boards is a life saver!
Thanks everyone!

So, I'll have to wait six more weeks!
However, it did give me a better picture of pricing & times. Exactly one week prior to our dates, both the pricing & times are excellent. I'm hoping the prices won't go up much for our dates, since it is spring break.I never thought to book them separately. I will have to look into it. Thanks for the idea!
There really isn't any reason to offer any seats at the deeply discounted fare buckets for flights that are likely to sell out at higher prices. Families flying during President's week, who want to maximize their week, may have to pay more then they'd like. People on DIS don't want to hear this but high fares on peak flights is what allows airlines to offer deeply discounted fares on off-peak flights.
Some posters may have missed booking the "cheap" seats but it's possible cheap seats weren't offered.
Airlines don't follow this policy but I've read any fare that sells out in a few days never should have been offered. The airline could have sold the seats at a higher fare.

for my oldest sister's 60th birthday trip
to Vegas for all my sister's (plus my sister's daughter-in-law and BFF, 8 of us in all). We are travelling Thursday 1/14/10 - Sunday 1/17/10 and the best from Indy was $299 RT NS. That seems pretty steep to me, so I think I'll wait a bit and keep checking. I LOVE SWA and they are the only airline that flies NS to Vegas from Indy. I just wish the price would be a bit closer to ~ $200/person.
