Wait times for Gingotts in the AM

We are going July 20,21 and staying on property and I hate to get up early since we have the express pass for everything but Gringotts and the train.

What are the wait times usually around 8 or 9, I don't want to be there at 7 unless its over a hour wait time around 8 or 9.

How long is the wait for the train ride at that time?

Anyone been there recently in the morning?

I would sleep in and do that area between 7-10 pm.

You will probably be looking at long lines being the park opens to all at 8am and that's where everyone goes first. I would try riding Gringotts the last hour of your first evening there. One issue with this is that if it is having technical issues you may not get to ride. If you try this on your first night you can always suck it up and wake up early your next day or stand in line for a while.

That being said we were just there the 3rd week of June. We got to the park for early entry. Probably about 10 people back from turnstile. We were first group on DM and then walked back out past where they check for early entry and stored some of our stuff we were carrying for water rides in a locker. Since nothing else was open yet we figured we would go to Diagon Alley and to our surprise Gringotts was posing 20 min wait and actual wait was less then that. We hopped on a second time when we got out. Not sure if this was a fluke or what.

I'm going to mostly agree with everyone else. Skip Diagon Alley first thing in the mornings once the entire park opens to the general public. Like the previous poster recommended, I'd hit Despicable Me first thing in the morning then if it's open HRRR. The one difference I'd make is I'd consider checking out the line for Gringotts about 11:00. Looking at historical crowds on Touringplan, Frequently Gringotts get's swamped first thing in the morning then by about 10:30-11:00 the line drops in length. It's not as short as late in the evening but you've got less of a risk that you won't be able to ride at all because of technical problems. When Gringotts is working well, it has great throughput.

So I guess 8-9am the wait is over a hour.

We will be traveling from Disney and then have to check in that first day so it will be hard being there before 8.

What is the wait around 8 or 9 at night?

We went July 3. At 8 am we went to minions(10 min wait) then right over to gringotts. Wait time was 10 min. Went back in afternoon and wait was 20.

We got to nearly all rides in U/S by 12 pm with only a long wait for RRR including a snack/ drink break for some rest and time to try 2 spells in WWoHP. We skipped shows, shrek and "sight seeing" since we went in fall and did it leisurely. Oh and we skipped dueling dragons since kids missed height by 1/4"

How about the train how long of a wait is that?

For us at night it's been 10 min to basically walk on.

I have to say I think Gringotts has been understating the wait time this whole week. At night it's been 10-15 minutes but the line is past the entrance of the bank. We rode single every time with under 5 minutes and plan to do the same thing later tonight.

The big question would be how much of the queue was open inside. If they closed off the overflow queue out back and took a straight shot through the bank lobby, I could possibly see a 15-20 minute line being past the entrance. If they let it spill into the street, it would discourage people from getting in line.
