I got a little weirded out when i was at my first appt. and we were talking about my health and she said that I was "OLDER" now.. I started to feel really old. I told dh about it and he laughed at me.. You arent even 30 yet, I dont know what you are worried about. The midwife said I was OLD!!! Thats what Im worried about!
I can't believe she said that! Twenty-seven is NOT old as far as a pregnancy, GEESH! I was 37 when I had DS7, and hated it every time they mentioned "advanced maternal age", makes it sound like I was ready for the nursing home.

I let my nephew rub my tummy last night (he's 19). Told him it would be the one and only time I ever let him touch my b o o b!:thumbsup2 :rotfl2:
:lmao:

What's wrong with tht mid-wife?? :confused3

You are not old for a baby Megan!!!

I had Kailyn when I was 37. Now that is old!! :rolleyes1

One time we went to New Mexico to an Indian Reservation. One of the nights there was a potluck that we were invited to. I was tring to be polite and eat everyone's dish. One of them looked and smelled pretty bad, but I took a little. I tell you what, I did everything I could not to gag, and spit it out. I finally swallowed it. I think it was some kind of mutton stew, that had been stewed for for too long. :scared: :scared: :scared: :sad2: :sad2:

I'm kind of laughing now, but then it wasn't so funny! :rotfl:

:lmao: :lmao: I know!! Some of that stuff takes some getting used to! I used to date a Samoan guy, and the food at his family functions was very interesting. :scared:

Geesh I type so slow, that about 2 pages filled up on me.

Hi A and A!!!

How goes it?

Alison, I like to camp too. We used to tent camp all the time, until my bladder became weaker. I hated to getup and have to go the restroom. So I resorted to a coffee can. But then in the mornings I would have to discreetly bring it to the toilet to dump it. :scared: I told Dave, I'm ready for a trailer, and that is how we camp now. I am a wuss!! :rolleyes1

I :lovestruc my trailer. It really is the best of both worlds. You can enjoy the outdoors, have a campfire, but still have the amenties of home. There are some drawbacks. For instance our hot water heater is 6 gallons, so you have get wet, shut water off, soap up, rinse, turn water off, shampoo hair, turn water back on. Sometimes if I feel like taking a little bath we will heat extra water on the stove outside. Also, unless you are somewhere to hook up to water you are stuck with about 40 gallons of water total. So you do need to conserve. But with the generator we can camp just about anywhere and still have microwave, tv, dvd. The heat runs on propane, fridge runs on propane or electricity. But it is WAY better than tent camping. Nothing beats getting up in the morning from a comfy queen size bed and cranking the heat up!

That's really cute! :goodvibes
I know!! I think I might have to get that!

I think what she meant was that I might have more trouble since I was older then my other 2 pregnancies. Namely with diabetes. I am CERTAINLY not 21 anymore. Thank goodness. :lmao:

Hi Everyone1

Megan, get a new midwife if she calls you old again. GEESH. She doesnt know what she is talking about. :sad2: :sad2: :sad2: Now if you were say 77 wanting to have a baby then the word "older" might apply. :lmao:

I once attended a (seasonal) blessing of the root vegetables on the Yakama reservation. It's very ritualistic and taken very seriously, no one is allowed to eat these type of foods until the ceremony has taken place, I'm not sure if they're even allowed to pick them until designated people have picked them for the ceremony.

Anyway, it was very interesting; each item was blessed one at a time, then we took a bite of it. I had no idea what any of it was, but some tasted like parsnips (which I hate), some very bland like potatoes, and some slightly oniony (which I liked.) And salmon is a part of every food-related blessing ceremony, and my gosh, was that good! I didn't really care for fish up to that point, but I really loved that, and DH grills a great salmon, too.

Hi Shawna! I dont think she actually meant I was old.. Just older then I was when I had the other 2.

I LOVE salmon!! I especially like it when its cooked on cedar planks.. YUMMY!!

Yikes 2 posts and I have to run. Morgans home from the convention. Not sure I really like those. Scantily clad teenagers and 8 year olds running around isnt really what we are into. There was not much technique taught just a bunch of choreography.

2 of her friends cried because they are anti hip hop. Morgan doesnt like hip hop either but she gave it a try. I was proud of her for not giving up. Then one class they didnt try either was Rock Jazz. Morgan was a little worried at first but the instructor ended up being hysterical. He had them do a whole class pretending to be robots. They made funny noises and were completely wild and goofy the entire time. Bless Morgans heart, her friends ran out crying and she stayed and then ended up being really funny and came out of her shell a bunch. She was laughing while she was dancing and having a blast. She came up with the funniest stuff to do. it ended up being her favorite class. I really wished the director would have seen her do that class because she says morgan is too shy when she dances. Well, tell her to be a robot and the shyness disappears. :rotfl:

You got it!!

Mornings by a fire with a nice hot cup of coffee in the hands. Oh, and bacon frying somewhere in the campground. Even if it isn't yours.:rotfl: Another nice thing about camping is that people meet people. We love to walk or ride bikes, and just stop and say hi to folks. The kids love it as well. As a matter of fact, they can't wait to go on our traditional one every year at the beach. Now it is becoming their traditon too. :cloud9:

Awww!! That is great Shawna! How great for her to come out of her shell like that!:yay: :yay:

Guess I dont have to run quite yet Jeff is still on the phone. He said he wanted to hang out with us since we have not seen them all weekend.

BBQ Mickey Burgers it is! I got all the fixins made for them. We are down to the last 2 boxes of Mickey Burgers. Safeway had them on clearance for $1 a box, so that made them like 75 cent a pound. So I bought a ton of them. They are little kid size burgers, takes 2 to make a regular adult size burger. But the price was right. I'm sure DH will be glad when he can go back to bbqing plain round hamburgers again.

Howdy Shawna!!

I'm glad she ended up having a good time. :goodvibes
I wonder if you can pick and choose what conventions she can go to. Then maybe you can be more picky.
