I do that, too, for anything that's going to involve great sums of money! :lmao:

Oh, heck, who am I kidding? I research the dang toasters before buying one. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

But to just go to Ocean Shores for a few nights, not a big deal. What's to plan other than where to stay?

I agree with you, I can't imagine driving all that way without knowing where you're going to stay, what are the typical rates, and so on. That's nuts! And they're probably going to wind up paying a lot more money. What are ya gonna do, though, it's their choice. :confused3

Thing is they dont have a lot of money so Jeff told them it is going to cost over $300 to get in the gates of Disneyland for all 5 of them. They said "But we are not going for more than one day we wont buy the 5 day hopper"

UMMM OK They know to call it a 5 day hopper but lady we were talking about a 1 day 1 park ticket!!! :sad2:

I baked a cake today, and I cannot wait to eat it! :yay: :yay:

DS7 asked me to bake a cake or cupcakes a week or two ago, and I kept forgetting. Then I said I'd do it Friday... didn't. So today's the day! DH bought cake mix and frosting yesterday, but oddly he got his favorite cake (yellow SuperMoist) but not his favorite frosting (he got vanilla instead of chocolate.) It just seems strange to me to have yellow cake with vanilla frosting. I should have at least colored the frosting, I guess, but I didn't.

We've got strawberries, so I think I'll put some of those on top, yummm!

That was quicker than I thought. Everyone was fixing their burgers and gave me these pathetic looks. Can we watch the Daytona Supercross that we recorded and eat our hamburgers in the living room? It was 3 against 1, so no family dinner table tonight!:lmao: Oh well, not a big deal. We still eat dinner together at the table more often than not. Which I think is a pretty rare thing as the kids get older.

It seems really weird to have it be 6pm and it's still light outside. Have I mentioned how much I love daylight savings time? I never did understand why they separated the hours only by longitude. To me it would make sense to have it go both by longitude & latititude. But maybe that was too complicated for everyone.:confused3

You can make your own frosting... Or just add some stuff to the mix to make it tons better. Its really easy, I swear!

Wow alot going on here!!

This is cracking me up!! Me thinks they are somewhat.........OK how about ALOT clueless here. Where do you start?

First of all............how long does it take to drive to AZ from Kansas? How are they going to fit all that in???

One good thing is that you might get to go to DL next week! Maybe not so good. Spring break!! Trouble with a Capitol T!!!

Whaever, it's good that they want to come and visit after all of this time. I hope it works out.

I'm typing fast here, cuz need to go pick Kaitlyn up from a Mexico planning meeting.

I want to comment on Morgan's dance, but i need to go.

Later!

That reminds me, I originally hopped on the computer to find a good recipe for jam cookies... Found it! Time to go make cookies!:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

About 22 hours to get here from KS. I guess they are pulling their kids out of school on Thurs and Fri so they will leave Wed night. So more like 8 1/2 days as Jeff just talked to them. Better than we thought but still.......

Yikes, these people are not the type to pay $150 for a room and I cant find anything less than that. even that is not where I would normally stay. Spring Break people!!! UGH.

Shawna, if I'm remembering right, the re-do of the Disney Playhouse is on now. I think it's supposed to be done before we go in late April. So I'm going to try to take the boys there, I think they'll enjoy it. Or at least DS3 will, but DS7 (when he was 6yo) enjoyed it the first time, too.

Is Handy Manny in it? If so i may go in by myself on SAtruday or if you guys go in on Saturday then I'll cling to your family. You know I got to have me some Handy Manny!

They might have to stay someplace within driving distance instead of walking distance.

What's the HoJo going for then?

False alarm!! My oldest daughter is bring Kaitlyn home.

Can they do 8 1/2 days?

Back to dance.

I feel for ya. I guess we got lucky, with the dance intructor we had. She just was not into hip-hop or funky stuff. She was all about classy stuff. She also felt strongly about the age of girls and what was appropiate.

Maybe your next convention will be based more on technique, and not so much hip-hop. I do know when Becky had specialized classes it was usually for all ages too. They did not separate them. So the little ones aspired to do the big girl stuff. Becky seemed fine with it, but she hasn't a shy bone in her body. As a matter of fact, she probably tried to tell the instructors what to do. :rotfl2: Actually I'm kidding. She was in awe of them.

But by the time she was having these special classes, she had already been to many competitions with all of her dance classmates, and knew them all really well. So she didn't feel funny around them. The older dancers were like their little mothers. Am I making sense here? Am I helping? :confused3
