Not as bad as the flu, thank goodness! DH has a low fever today, but just feels a bit queasy and tired.
DS3 didn't eat dinner, but i can see by his face that he had no trouble downing some chocolate Halloween candy... :sad2:
I hope all is well in your house by Thanksgiving!!! :goodvibes

I went to Target and got these women's slippers. They have different kinds and it's $4.99/EA. These are the ones I got. It's really soft and machine washable. It also has those grips on the bottom so you won't slip. :thumbsup2

I hope so. I was sick one year at Christmas, and it was absolutely the worst! No fun being sick on a day of feasting! :rotfl2:

Oh, no, I take that back; the worst was Thanksgiving of 2001. DS7 was only 14 months old and had to have his tonsils and adenoids removed. He'd been a very sickly child up to that point, with lots of respiratory problems, sleep apnea, and snoring. (We'd thought the snoring was cute, but the doc said babies should not snore!)

Anyway, he was supposed to have the surgery in September, but he got really ill right beforehand, so we'd had to reschedule. The earliest we could get in was the day before Thanksgiving, so we took it. Since we knew he wouldn't be in any condition to have fun, we decided to stay home that next day, and I bought a whole chicken, some stuffing mix, some yams and rolls, and were going to have a simple but slightly better than average meal for the occasion. DS wound up coming down with a high fever, so we had to rush him back to the hospital, and we wound up spending the night, I think. It was pretty scary.

Not our first hospital stay, if you can believe that, and certainly not our last.

thank goodness he's much healthier today because of that surgery! :thumbsup2

Those are cute! I should get some, too! I like slipper socks, but these are cuter! I don't really like slippers that are too thick (I get too warm) or have the hard bottoms. I never wear my slippers outside, and the hard bottom feels too much like shoes for my liking. :teeth:
