Good Morning Hyena's!!!

Just checking in, I surprisingly have an internet signal this morning!!!

We had a great trip - ran into Pixster and Bernice, then found Staley and family, and then got to meet Alex!!! (Granted we were late...all of us...sorry, had to feed the kids ) Then on Sunday we actually ran into Shawna twice, once on the way there, and then as we were leaving to give her our FP's for BTMRR. The funny thing was as we got off BTMRR, and loaded up the stroller to leave the park for our Stitch breakfast, the stroller parked next to me was Alex's!!! I directed Shawna in that way, but unsure if they met up!!! Our ride back was good (long, but good), and DH insisted I upgrade DS to an AP while we were there - and he is really wanting to come back sometime in January or February!!!

We get the new place (renting the house for 6 months) on the 15th, and already have high speed internet ready to come out and install on the 17th, so then I can come back and play with you all (assuming you will have me back )

I guess I should really start thinking about packing all this crap up so we can move it again!!! Hope all is good - I have no idea and I am so far behind, hopefully on the 17th I can get a recap!!!

hey dizzy glad to hear your trip was nice....i feel for ya girl....having to pack up AGAIN and move AGAIN...god i would never be able to do that EVER!!!

Wow - I thought I was alone here!!!

I am glad that Shawna met up with Alex - I was hoping they would find eachother. It is a bummer though that you missed her Pixster. I just couldn't believe how easy it was to run into everyone in such a big place. Even people I didn't know it seemed like I was always in the same place as them.

Next week should be crazy - we have to pack and clean this place, as well as load up a bunch of stuff from Gilbert. We were going to rent a U-Haul but they want $500 just for the hunk of metal - not including insurance, gas or any other added fees. I really don't want to pay that much for us to move ourselves (especially since we are not moving everything - that could get pretty expensive when we have to move it all again) So I am not sure exactly the game plan. The house is unfurnished - so we have to grab the couch, all the kitchen stuff and probably just our air mattress. (and ALL of our WINTER CLOTHES!!!)

Well I'm kind of surprised to see not very many posts since I left yesterday. I had my post surgery doctor appointment. And then on my way to it, and on my way back my stomach was having major fits. The Doc said this may take awhile to adjust to having no gall bladder. So when I got home, I had some soup, and then went to bed. I feel much better this morning.

I'm also trying to type with my 19 month GS on my lap. He loves the smilies. Especially the dancing banana!!! He keeps trying to touch it! Geesh! It's not easy typing like this!

Grumpy- The Little Mermaid is where we have found the good ablesceevers. We'll try dinner there next year.

Sorry to hear that you have to pack and move again. You're right, that price to rent the U-Haul is expensive!! I thought it was less than that. Do you know any friends who may be able to lend you their van or truck?

Hey Lynn, I didn't experment last night with the pork, cuz I felt horrible. So Dave and Kaitlyn just warmed it up like it was, and now it is all gone.

Hi Melody!!! The trip was great fun!!! DH was actually at the bird show for most of it - so we only saw him Friday from 9pm-midnight (we made the poor kiddos stay up for Nemo, and then I got them up at 6am for EE). Then DH met up with us about 5pm Saturday, and was with us until we left on Sunday. I was surprised at how easy it was with just me and the kids - I always thought Andrea was crazy!!! DH also likes a destination that is completely kid friendly, and he figures we will want a warm get away in the winter!!!

No you are not choppped liver! That is how long it took me to type my message with GS on my lap. So by the time I finally sent it off, you were on. Somehow I knew I would get into trouble, when your name showed up afterwards.

Comparably warm - we have a 50% chance of snow by Halloween...the lowest number we have seen so far is 28 on the car thermostat

Ablesceever, which I know I'm spelling wrong, is a wonderful round ball-like pancake. It's served with powdered sugar, butter, and homemade rasberry preserves. Yummy !!It is served all over Solvang, but the best we have had was at the Little Mermaid.

Have you ever been there Lynn??? To Solvang I mean??

Not yet - I am trying to buy it all in pieces. So far we all have really warm thermal jammies, as well as thermal pieces to mix and match. Still just have light jackets - but it is only cold so far early morning and late night. Since we are starting completely from scratch on buying winter clothes (you mean winter clothes doesn't mean wearing socks with your capri pants???) I am trying to start out on an as needed basis.

i had no idea where you moved to that it would snow there...take it from someone who was raised in snow...you need to buy in a hurry because your screwed if they sell out of stuff and you dont want frost bite lord have mercy
