Yum, yum, yum! We love them, especially my youngest. Usually we (6 of us) will eat 2 a day. We don't carry them around though, we use a plastic fork and knife to cut the meat off.
Voted "yummy" but I'm basing this on the turkey legs they have at a festival near me each year. My dad does them on the grill too with barbecue sauce and those are fantastic. I've never had a WDW turkey leg, but I'll try it in September.
I'm pretty much the Anti-Vegan and am extremely carnivorous(love a good rare steak) so I'm biased.
I agree its a nasty abomination. I really think a turkey leg is a disguisting thing for Disney to sell and people are always walking around with one in their mouth. It smells good but is nasty.
Love, love, love turkey legs!!! We get them everytime we go to WDW, which is often!!! The meat is pink because it is smoked, like a ham would be. Ham isn't naturally pink either. That is one of the best things to eat at WDW!!! These pictures are killing me since I have almost another month before I can go have one!!! No other turkey legs I have found taste as good at the ones at WDW!!!
One night I was at Epcot late when they were shutting down the food stands. I asked the guy what happens to the leftovers. He said they throw them out, so he gave me and my friend each a turkey leg. We took one bite and tossed it out. It was nasty. I'm so glad I didn't pay for it. Ewww and ick.
One of the things that my sister and I most look forward to. My son, however, isn't interested. He, surprisingly, wants his turkey legs to taste like turkey and not ham. Silly boy!
Thanks for reminding me....think I will go to the store after work and get some turkey legs (or thighs) to roast. Love 'em that way too.
They smell great - all smoky and hammy - but I have problems with the consistency. The strings/veins/arteries/nerves/rubber bands - whatever those icky bits are - just turn my stomach.

i like the actual meat, but not the icky parts. i feel like a lion with a fresh kill on the serengetti. do they serve these at AK or would that not be politically correct?
