tree lighting ceremony

We want to see the tree lighting ceremony at Epcot and have heard that it stops running on 12/24.

Does anyone know when they stop doing the tree lighting?

I checked Deb Wills' website and can't find an end date.

The 'ceremony' begins at Epcot at 5:55 pm.

I am sure you know this, but the tree lighting ceremony is fabulous. My cousin had to convince me to go and I am sure glad that I did. It was one of the most magical moments we had on our trip last Dec.

I just wish they had Cast in Bronze back this year. It is an OK tree lighting this year with the characters and a couple of the American Vibe people doing it but it isn't the same. The entire thing takes about 20 min. I guess they had many complaints that people wanted to see the characters and now this year people are complaining that they want Cast in Bronze back.

Thanks for verifying that they weren't there. I also so wanted to see them-only saw them once several years ago and I was really looking forward to seeing them again. I thought they were supposed to be there and couldn't figure out where they were! Yes, bring them back!

Add another vote for bringing Cast in Bronze back! We saw the tree lighting last year and it was absolutely magical.

This year we waited for the tree lighting... but it was cancelled due to rain. 8(

Exactly where do I go to see this? I saw it on Samantha Brown's Holidays at Disney World special Sunday night and it looks beautiful! I didn't even know about it and we leave in 48 hours!

The tree lighting ceremony is in the World Showcase plaza. As you enter the park go straight back toward WS and you can't miss the huge unsightly presents sitting in front of the christmas tree. I think the stage is 5' off the ground with about 10' presents.
