Is it possible to add an extra day to my hopper only? Will this affect everyone else’s hoppers? What about our free Day1 visit to the water park?
As others stated, if your tickets are part of a package you cannot add to just 1 nor can they be set to start prior to the package check-in date. You might be able to remove all tickets from the package and buy them separately, getting different tickets for whomever needs/wants different. If you are booked with a package deal that requires tickets this isn’t an option. In that case a separate single day ticket is the only option and you would have to decide if it’s worth the expense.

The free waterpark day is tied to the AoA resort reservation. It will not be impacted if you change the tickets.

Curious if this is still allowed:

Buying 6-day passes for Thanksgiving week. Can I upgrade them to DVC Sorcerer passes before the end of the 6th day? Three of the days are blacked out on Sorcerer pass, which is why I'm hoping to bypass that with 6-day park hoppers.

TIA~

No. If the regular ticket was used on a date that is blacked-out, you can not upgrade to that AP. You can upgrade to Incredi-pass.

I have ticket money "on hold" at Disney from a trip in 2021 that was cancelled due to covid. The money is from two tickets (one was for DH and one for me) and I believe they were two day base tickets. Tickets are now obviously more expensive. We are going to the parks for 3 days in May. Is it possible to combine the money from these two tickets to purchase one ticket (for one of us)? Then I'd buy the other ticket from a different source. Otherwise I'll have to purchase both tickets from Disney, apply the credit, and pay the balance.

You can ask. Generally it’s a 1-for-1 kind of credit. But yours may be handled differently from usual expired tickets since I thought all Covid credits had to be used a while ago.

This makes me nervous... they told me the credit was good indefinitely. I took careful notes, including the days and phone numbers I used when calling Disney.

I dug back some more and what I must have been remembering was to use Covid-era tickets as-is had a deadline in Sept. 2021. After that, fully-unused tickets reverted to a credit as is the normal process for unused dated tickets.

Unless they did something different with your tickets, it is unlikely that you can combine the 2 credits towards 1 ticket. It's essentially "upgrading" the existing ticket so each is done individually. But have prices increased that much that a current 3-day ticket is the same value as 2 2-day tickets from 4 years ago?! Wow!

A three day ticket is now $454.18. I have credit of $550 for 2 tickets from the trip we canceled. I actually can't remember if that was for 2 2-day park hoppers, or two 3-day base. Either way... ticket prices have just about doubled. I am pretty sure the credit will only be assigned to the person traveling, and this is the first time DH has been able to travel with me for a park trip. I'll let you know what happens.

So if I already have tickets from a package, convert them to an annual pass on my first day of my trip, do I have to make park reservations for the remainder of my trip? Has anyone been denied a reservation doing that, outside of busy times of the year? How far out can I make reservations if I book a Disney resort stay?

Yes, you will need theme park reservations for each day once you upgrade to AP. I don’t think park reservations have been difficult lately. Currently theme park reservations can be made through March 2026.

Agree with lanejudy, park reservations have not been that difficult most of the time, except for the busiest of times. This year, even with Mardi Gras 3/4 (and it was pretty busy!), there were 2 'Good to Go' days the first week of March, meaning nobody was required to have a park reservation - those pop up now and then, usually only a week or 2 in advance.

Something to keep in mind (based on rules as of today) - you will not need a park reservation if you enter your first park after 2PM, except for the MK on Sat/Sun (you'll need a park reservation all day if that is your first park). I'd recommend you take your best guess at park reservations based on where you think you'll want to be for your trip, and then tweak those as you tweak your plans. You should be fine. If you have a WDW resort reservation linked to your MDE, you can make park reservations for your entire stay, including check-in day and check-out day.

Curious if there have been any reports of successful ticket bridging 3rd party tickets to AP lately and getting gate price? (If so, or denies, what sites?)
We did this last April and was wondering if we should let the AP's lapse since we dont have another trip planned for a while then buying new tickets and bridging to AP once onsite....

Bridging to “gate price” hasn’t been policy for several years now. You should get credit for the price WDW sold that same ticket on the day you bought from the third party. If there has been any price increase since then you will pay that in the upgrade.

Is "gate price" what you are trying to highlight vs just Disney's online 'regular' advertised price? I meant just a regular disney price that they would look up in their system.

“Gate price” is often higher than online price.

Your credit may not necessarily be the current online price. If there has been a price increase since you purchased from the third party, your ticket credit will be less than the current price. For example… IIRC WDW raised some ticket prices back in Oct or Nov.; if you bought your tickets prior to that increase, your credit is the old price (WDW online price as of the date you purchased from the third party) and not the current online price.

Have never boughten an AP before. I am finding conflicting info out there. Page 1 here says I can use my AP on the same day the following year of when I first used it. I saw some q&a on plan Disney that says no last day to use it is the day before. I plan to 1st use the AP on 04/16/2025. Can I use it on 04/16/2026? Thanks!

Also, is there any benefit to upgrading tickets to an AP as opposed to just buying an AP (sorcerer's pass) off the bat?

You can use the AP from 4/16/25 through 4/15/26. The AP would be considered expired as of 4/16/26.

365 days. Unless you manage to cross a leap year, then you get a bonus day!

You probably already know this, but if you were to renew the AP the following year, it would be good 4/16/26-4/15/27 (in your hypothetical), no matter when you used it the first time.
