Ticket Question (UPH)

ok my sister from denver is joining us from Sunday (10/3) to Wednesday (10/6) and I was trying to figure out the ticket situation. She does not need a ticket for Sun becuase we are going to MNSSHP, but she will need tickets for Mon and Tue (she leaves at 9:00 am on Wed). Is it possible to get her an UPH for just Mon and Tue (so 1 night/ 2 day option) without including Wed? I should add that we check into the AKL on Monday.

I'm pretty sure you can only get a UPH from the reservation length. You can't modify it to meet any needs (I wish you could though!). I think the best bet is to get her a park hopper pass for 3 or 4 days...and then she can use the remainder days another time. Hotwire has 4-day PHPs for just over $200. Or she can just buy 2 one-day tickets, which won't allow her to park-hop, but will run her about $110 or so.

You can't purchase your sister's UPH in advance to take advantage of the advance purchase price but she can get exactly what you seek when she checks in at the front desk. It's really just a simple case of dropping her arrival and departure day.

Yes. Not only is it possible, it's done all the time.

The length of UPH's cannot be modified if you try to book a package or add them to your reservation prior to arriving at WDW. You would have to take it for the entire time that way. But if you purchase the UPH at check in, the resorts have the freedom to modify the UPH. You will pay slightly higher gate prices for the days you get but the savings from dropping the days will more than offset that.

Oh. I have another question. I own a Disney Seasonal Pass and it expires November 11th, 2004. Should I renew it before it runs out, or should I let it run out and then renew it the next time I go? We think that "renewing" it would be cheaper than buying a new one after they expire. Is this true?

There's no such thing as letting it run out and renewing it next time you go. That's called buying a new one and paying full price. If you renew it (the cheaper price), the time frame is the same as your old one.
