I'm a little late to this thread - it's now Christmas Eve and I've got things looking pretty merry and bright around here! Shopping (mostly at my front door, thanks to Amazon) is 100% done, including groceries yesterday for our feast, which will actually be on Boxing Day this year. I've got a few things yet to wrap and a stocking to fill much later tonight or early tomorrow morning. I just hit the self-clean button on the oven because there's nothing left to cook or bake - it's been a frantic couple of days in the kitchen so that will need a good tidy at some point later this morning.
We're looking forward to a raucous Christmas Eve service late this afternoon, which is the pinnacle of our Christmas celebrations! Emmanuel - God is with us and we couldn't be more joyful! Afterward we may stop off and eat somewhere nice or just come home and scrounge. There's no shortage of food here.
The main thing I have left to do is to work on my bedraggled self - take a long bubble bath and do something with my hair. I've been whirling around like a dervish since the weekend and it shows.
Merry Christmas to all.
