This is Blue ...She has been missing since yesterday. We've been searching the neighborhood and I checked our local Animal Shelter today too. The people there were so nice. What a wonderful staff at the Butler County Animal Shelter (a 'no kill' shelter). I hope someone finds Blue for us. We miss her sooooo much.

Having lost a dog in the past, I can completely sympathize with your anxiety right now. Ours was gone for 6 days once, have faith.

Sending you good thoughts.

Did you put up flyers in the neighborhood? This helped one of my friends get her dog back.

I hope you find Blue soon. She looks like a sweetie. :grouphug:

I believe I posted this advice once when another poster's pet was missing.

Having worked with no-kill shelters for 14 years, the number one thing I'd tell you to do aside from the good advice you've gotten from others, is to talk to the *kids* in your neighborhood. Show them Blue's picture, and give flyers to their parents with your phone #s and address so they know how to get in touch with you in case they see her. Kids are literally the eyes and ears of most neighborhoods, and if Blue is around, they are more than likely to be the ones to see her. We've had so many people find their lost pets because a neighborhood child spotted them. Also, if you know any people who jog, walk, or push their child in a stroller through your neighborhood on a regular basis, give them flyers, too.

Blue looks like such a sweet girl, and I hope she's found so very soon! Keep actively working on finding her and don't give up hope! I've seen many, many pets get back to their families when everyone thought they were gone forever.

All my good thoughts are with you and Blue.

Aw, I am so sorry your Blue is missing. I wish I lived closer, i would be out passing out flyers with you. She looks like a sweetheart!

I hope you find her soon. Hopefully a well intentioned person is keeping her safe and will hear you are looking for her!!

Good luck!!

I hope you find her soon. I'd be heartbroken if Shiloh got out and couldn't be found. :grouphug:

:grouphug: Sending out good thoughts. Hope she comes home soon!

:grouphug: Hope she comes home soon safe and sound. Our dog was lost once (ran away from the pet sitter while we were in Disney-the worst 48 hours we spent in Disney being too far away to do anything) and thankfully 2 days later he made it back,

I would put a call out to all local police stations and neighboring county shelters too. Dogs can travel a distance when they get the urge. When I found a dog once I reported her to my local police department because I had planned on keeping her, she was such a sweetie. That's how her people found her ... they called around. The next day I received a phone call from the local police department asking me if the dog I found answered to a certain name, and sure enough, she did. Her owners and the sweet little dog were re-united that day. :)

I sure hope you find her soon. My heart would be broken if my dog got lost. That's one of the reasons I hate going on vacation ... I'm never afraid of losing him, I'm always afraid someone else will lose him. :(

I'll be hoping and wishing Blue home for you. :(

I just wanted to add...put twice as may flyers out as you think you will need. Make them as colorful as possible, so they stand out. Place them in as many of the local businesses as possible. The point is, people need to see them more than once to get it imprinted in their mind. It almost has to be obnoxious for people to pay attention, LOL. (and then remember to take them down later, when you find her)

I really hope you find Blue soon.

Keep the faith, our golden was lost for 4 days straight before some old women saw him limping along the main highway and pulled over. We were lucky that we had his id tag on him. She just dropped him off and wanted nothing in return. She was his guardian angel. Looked as though he was in a fight with another animal. Poor baby, he was so gentle, never growled or anything so it must have been an ordeal for him. Remember just keep searching, calling and asking around. Never give up hope.  :dog2:
